honestly I'm scared to get into fanfic. I mean, I would much rather think of these characters as my friends than as my romantic partners. plus I like original works. me being placed into the story, and someone writing my own personality for me doesn't sound fun tbh. I was also planning on reading fanfic on AO3 not wattpad.

@@user-kg6qu6yv1l fanfics can be really good if you know what to look for. i personally gravitate towards au fanfics rather than y/n or any fics that focus more on relationships than story. i’m not sure what you prefer but if you like to think of characters more as your friends there might be some good y/n ones that have that vibe. not all fics are relationship based and if you’re thinking about using ao3 then just make sure you read the tags in the fics because ao3 has one of the most advanced tagging systems. i really hoped that helped and just tell me if you have any more questions lol
@@user-kg6qu6yv1l maybe don't read y/n stuff. Try reading some other types of ff. If you have pairing that you like, you can start reading ff of your pairings. I never read y/n related stuff too.
Ao3 has a lot of odd tags, when Wattpad does tags their usually normal with some silly tags sprinkled in.

The title of the series was "The Opiate Chronicles" and the description clarified "The works do not contain opiates. The author did."
