    Aug basically doubles your armor, a bit more , that's why you are feeling it.
    Getting 30% of a mail users armor is not much for a Prot warr or pala, but its so much for a BrewM.

    So I am currently looking at Prot Pally as my supposed starter of the patch. I started with Pally at the start of Season 2 before swapping off of it because it was uber mid and I really missed the amount of group utility Pally brought so the idea of being able to get all the utility back and actually have a tier set instead of that trash we currently have in season 2.

    • @candulimataoo2852

      Pally can really carry a group that’s why I keep going back to mine no matter how bad it is it always catches my attention because you can kick everything bubble people fill them up to full health you bring so much to a group it keeps the game fun for me no matter the tier set.

      Realistically speaking is most likely what you play doesn't really matter. That is part of the issue with the community is that people think you need to play meta in everything from a 10 to a 30 when really its closer to mid 20s is when you need to more so look at meta especially if you are pugging alot.

      @@zerothelightbringer8874 as a lifelong paladin main that tanked and healed every season since Legion, I daresay that althouggh I started very strong with my pala, I also started gearing my druid since first week of the season. By the time my druid was 441 (and my pala was like 445 due to mythic raiding), my druid was blasting WAY more than my paladin and I could do WAY bigger pulls. I specifically remember struggling with my pala at 25s and my druid was tanking 25s like it was another Tuesday. I wasn;t even a good druid, I was just spamming buttons and feeling like a literal god.

    • @phugindomas
      @phugindomas 10 месяцев назад

      Not sure what you're talking about. Brew got the strongest tank tier set of the season. It will also naturally scale faster now that we're nearing the end of the xpac. Brew by design is weak early xpac and insanely strong late due to how stagger functions and its reliance on stats being at a level unseen by other tanks. Then bdk simply getting a legendary to work with makes it one of the best of the season too.

      good point, however i still think blood dk needs some fundamental changes to be viable at very high key levels. for example more base armor/parry chance, maybe to balance it out, slightly reduce the healing done by death strike, or make death strike heal half up front and half over 5 seconds or something.

    • @psivern
      @psivern 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@Amphroxia I think Augmentation was exactly what they needed. As we saw in the break the meta event this season, if you take away the outlier tanks (guardian druid being crazy strong, and VDH having an insane tier set) bdk was the chosen tank for the top keys (+29s in break the meta) without augmentation, so i think if top teams were forced to not play bear/vdh, we would see extremely high bdk keys this season

    • @WorgenDeath
      @WorgenDeath 10 месяцев назад

      @@Amphroxia They really don't need that much help and those kinds of nerfs to death strike healing would actually be a gigantic nerf to the spec.
      The effective health issue is somewhat lessened this expansion because they gained 2 talents that buff blood shield to actually make it a pretty reasonable absorb compared to before. DK does have quite a bit of parry already from crit which is a strong stat in both raid and m+ especially when you take into account that despite it not being season 3 and 4 of shadowlands anymore where you have 100% uptime on DRW you still get cdr and a small amount of extension which boosts the uptime quite a lot meaning that with a average amount of crit you can sit over 30% parry chance and over 70% during DRW. Not to mention that blistering scales and ebon might from aug evoker both have a big impact on BDK survivability since strength contributes to armour through bone shield and also gives a small amount of extra parry chance.
      Blood DK this expansion also had the cost of death strike reduced so they get to press it more frequently than in previous expansions which means you get to sit on a bigger blood shield more often and very rarely run into a scenario where you run out of runic power to death strike.
      Don't get me wrong, the weakness isn't completely non existent, but I think people definitely overestimate how problematic it actually is.

    Not a tank player but a healer/dps main.
    MW seems still pretty bad for m+. Has good interrupts and HPS numbers got buffed compared to what we have now but still it will have massive issues making the gorup survive in higher keys during burst unavoidable damage and we have a ton of it next season. I think MW will be popular on launch while people figure out things but once the meta dps core gets figured out it will most likely die off.
    Rdruid has a very similar issue as MW and that is at higher keys it won't be able to properly deal with burst damage. The few externals that it has are extremely meh and won't make a huge difference in those high keys. Also the nerf to flourish and no buffs to other CDs/spells makes it even harder to properly heal bursty damage in higher keys.
    Hpala seems to be the single best healer so far. Has strong externals (BoP, BoS, BoF, LoH) and is probably the single most survivable healer out of all (plate armor, divine shield and can use shields on top of plate armor). Also it has the most interrupts (Iirc the most) without giving anything up in the class tree compared to other healers. It can deal with burst relatively well and also keep other teammates alive without much of a fuss. The tier for it also looks pretty strong both for damage output and burst healing.
    As for tank/healer picks it will depends on DPS core a ton. You don't really want to stack the same class so we won't Hpala and Ppala in the same group for the meta comp. Also giving up Hpala will be extremely tough unless there are good reasons to pick other healers which currently there are 0 so I doubt we will see many Prot paladins. Also from the tank you want good survivability as well as ability to help in group through dispells, affixes etc so I doubt we will see much bdk/prot warr. As for the other tanks I feel it will in the end come down to brewmaster or guardian. For both the same stuff applies and that is their respective dps and healing specs aren't anything amazing and there are other classes that will do better.
    As for vengeance I think it won't be a meta spec. If you want the magic damage buff then you could just go for a havoc which seems to be shaping up to be one of the best dps while also not losing any of the utility/cc compared to vengeance.

    As a pala tank i find that most other tanks often suck. They don't use their utliity they don't seem to stack avoidance anymore and they take a absolute boatload more damage because of it. as of ilvl 405 you can pretty easilly get 100% avoidance with 45% blocked and what combined with sotr damage reduction damage intake is a alot more sonsistent. But pala tank dps is stupidly low apart from aoe pulls. That is the only thing i think they need to change on pala tanks. Our damage output isnt scaling with gear at all ever since its made all holy damage instead of melee. It makes str and weapon damage useless. I also don't focus con armor at all as it's a less usefull stat then crit or mastery. Same for versatility it's the most overrated stat in the game. It's lowest prio for me on all characters.

      @@Rattja I can see that, the monk was only 423 ilvl and didn’t have defensive trinkets. For him p2 was fine but p1 was making him drop fast, esp when the set of 2 portal guardians came out. However when I tanked it on my dh I felt pressured in p1 from the adds but was manageable, and I’ve solo’d the boss 2-3 times from anywhere between 13-20% hp due to dps/ heals messing up orbs
