One of my favourite Foxes and Fossils songs. The band is great, Tim does a great job but the best is how Sammie is so into this song and Tim's reaction to his daughter. Doesn't get any better.

Sorry to say, as you may have heard, bass player extraordinaire Scott King passed from this world on Jan 13 2022. His brother Ross can be seen on "Destination" and Scott's predecessor in Tim's other band, The Mustangs, Richard Meeder, can be seen in "It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference". The two will try to fill Scott's shoes on videos going forward.
Scott King! Legend! Rest in peace, brother.

I'd love to see them in concert with a real wrap-around stage that projects their fabulous music.
They’re currently setting up a couple of very small, local “test” shows at New Years that will be recorded and possibly streamed as a “concert” - if all goes well, bigger shows are planned next year at larger venues.

I usually comment on Sammie’s smile but Maggie’s at 1:35 is just beautiful! I can’t believe I just noticed that after 5 years! Maybe it’s because both of them are smiling throughout the song. Maybe that is this group’s secret sauce - they are all just having so much fun!

Love the chill lead guitarist. He is very good and doesn't have to dance around--just nails every note perfectly.
This is a better band, with better vocals, than 90% of what I hear coming out today.

I’ll agree, but for me 90% is a quite a bit lower than my ears would calculate, eh? It’s always subject though. I just wish artists had the dedication to the quality of musicianship, vocals, and engineering that we could always count on from Foxes & Fossils as well as the Mustangs! 😎

I love the comments, and the girls, but Tim is a genius, and has pulled this amazing group together. . . . and now in 2020, it's great to hear and see the studio work they have been doing. The fossils have been around together for a long time and it's obvious they truly love what they do and have had fun thru the years playing and entertaining audiences young and old.

Yes we can't help but be enamored with these beautiful, talented girls, but yes it is Tim that puts it all together. And he can sing just about anything in addition to his awesome guitar playing and song arranging.

I would much rather watch and listen to a great cover band than one that writes its own indifferent material and plays it indifferently. There is no shortage of the latter, if very few of the former.

Every once in a while I go back to watch the original artist's version of this song, just to remind myself how much better this one is.
I do the same thing. F&F seem to do it so much better.
I only listened to C.C. version once. F&F is so much better.

I just disovered this band within the last week and I cant stop listening to them . The harmonies between the women are incredible. Maggie has the best female voice I think I have ever heard . She ranks up there in Karen Carpenter territory . My second favorite out of all of them .
You are in trouble now. I found them 4 or so years ago before there were any in studio recordings and i still listen to them every day.

Music like this comes along when extreme talent comes together and they do the songs they want to do the way they want to do them, and don't take any orders from anyone in the music business. Maybe they don't make as much money but they sure have more fun and spread around their joy to so many others. So happy there are so many videos out there.

Been around over 75 years and have always been a giant music fan and cannot think of the band that would come in second to F&F for being as pleasant to the eyes and the ears!
I'm an old trucker and musician. I really enjoy them all and have them sing me to sleep. Probably not the best for putting me to sleep but sure end my day with a rare quality of music to have these days. Families have a special music.

I think I figured it out... The Audience is younger and most the songs the Foxes and Fossils play are from my generation.. I am 60 Years old. It is an explanation for their inattentiveness.

I think back to Sept-Oct 2018 when I first stumbled across F&F. This was the first video I played that was not a song I knew. I kept coming back to it, day after day, occasionally playing Colbie's original (and ignoring the cheesy video with the guy on the beach), and wondering, what makes this performance so special? Sometimes Maggie's lead vocal stands out. Sometimes Sammie's backing vocals. Sometimes Tim's little accents here and there. Sometimes Scott's bass. Sometimes Toby... You get the idea. But it's more than the music, it's the sheer joy you see in their faces, the little "hi!" wave of Sammie's early on. Nothing in particular but everything. It's all just fantastic, the perfect arrangement, the tightness of each member of the band simply enjoying what they're doing. To an audience of maybe 20. The happiness spills over and makes my life better in the process. Does any of that make sense?

This is Foxes and Fossils.Mustangs was a separate band with many of the same musicians, but different female singers. They played year around for 20+ years .F&F was a side project for the girls to sing in mostly in the summers.
The patrons at the "Twisted Taco" don't appreciate the truly high quality and caliber of this
