@@Mr15hz It probably depends on the tuning of the system. If the impedance is high its not gonna use as much power to get output. If the amps are pushing full power at low freq it can be pretty damn hard with the amps drawing alot more than rated for short bursts. I bet super caps would be great to help with this
not on that guy's system....that was definitely using far less power because its completely unloaded..had it been tuned at 10hz AND full tilted it ...THEN sure...but its the same exact result as you would full tilt a 30hz in a 30hz tuned box ...just at a much lower pitch basically..

I think I've made my mind up. After watching basically every Bass Video on the tube, Sundown you have my vote!!! Been watching Alphard, Def Bounce, Fi, PSI, Orion, but I think I'll give Sundown a try. They seemed to have performed well in every video I seen, I've even heard a pair of 8" subs by Sundown in person and I was in blown away. I got a smaller car, so I'm going to shop for a 15" sub, and start on getting a custom box built to spec. Haven't decided on an amp yet, maybe a 3k Crescendo Audio for starters. Big Three Upgrade, a high output Alternator, a nice battery, Pioneer DEH 80PRS for the deck, Oh yes, I'm going to do it right this time...
For box, hit up josh at Custom Box Shop (find online, facebook, instagram etc) he builds crazy boxes n theyre sexy AF (must see those boxes) and get a Crescendo C3000.2 you can run 1 ohm 3000 rms or bridge at 2 ohms for same power. ITS A BEAST!!
Kinetic energy batteries r dope too and not too expensive. I have 2 of the 2400 batteries and they hold my voltage above 13.5 at full tilt.i would highly recommend. If money not an issue get XS power lithium... just my 2 cents 😋

Went with friends who competed back in the day, early 90's. I had 2 18'' cerwin vegas with a HiFonics Boltar, and I was the least loud of the group. Those old school Orion amps were savage as f#%k.
Infrasound has a frequency so low and a wavelength so long that our ears don't absorb much of the sound. The frequencies are below 16 hertz. I heard 10 hertz, so those subwoofers are loud. Very loud. NICE!!

Cost per Watt if not wiring below recommended then Yes I would say their decent. I wouldn't put them anywhere near vibrations or wire below min recommended ohm load and should be fine. Cheap comes at a cost but if you take care of your stuff then shouldn't have an issue.
I think there's a pipe organ in New Jersey that has a 64foot pipe (only one in the world) that does like a 10hz? sine, but obviously it's not gonna be that loud.
Jeremy Williams from Orion army has a video showing numbers from every single one of Orion's big amps. I remember I used to think Watts were just Watts lol. Those Orion amps are problematic because they're unbalanced in my opinion. If you notice most amps do maybe 5000 Watts at 1 ohm and then 2500 watts at 2 ohms and then 1250 Watts at 4 ohms... The Orion amps are full bridge monoblock amps. They do like 5,000 at 1 and then they do like 3800 at 2... That's not good when you decide to wire the amp down. Power supplies and mosfets go bye bye. Kerplow! Lol

120 Amp is alot better then 80 amp with 40 amps more of course but in genera I would consider a Upgraded alt after 2,500 watts personally and just make sure you got the right battery reserve.

Sundown Audio definitely makes the best subs no ifs ands or buts about it.. I mean the hcca's are awesome and the Fosgate Powers have always been great too, those are the only three brands I would ever run. I guess you could throw in JL's as well..

Unloading is when a subwoofer is playing outside the tuning of the enclosure or outside it's mechanical limits and over flexing in other words. Basically whenever the subwofer makes a weird sound from playing to low and becomes floppy. Thanks for watching Eduard! Subscribe if you haven't!
Don't use 4 baffles. There's a thread on SMD forums explaining why. Triple with a fourth "around" the outer ring of the sub if you absolutely feel like you need 4 baffles. Bracing, bracing and more bracing is my preferred method.

15 seconds of 10 hz full tilt is absolute hell on electrical no matter what the tuning is. That's pretty impressive.
Higher frequency pulls more amps. Atleast on my setup. 25hz does not stress my electrical as much as 55hz.
