Sorry, I don’t understand the necessity for the tracing step. What is the difference to just opening and directly exporting to SVG. Will this tracing procedure help maintain a transparent background from my png?
I'm not an Illustrator expert, but this is the process I've always followed. Without the trace, I believe you are just saving the bitmap SVG. You won't be able to recolor or properly edit the vector graphics without tracing and isolating all the parts.
@@nauticfilms If a background is formed for some reason, the trace process will create a layer that can be discarded (another advantage of the trace process).
Hi, when I click image trace > expand, my image develops a grey border and the edges become warped despite being perfectly sharp and without grey before. Can you help?
