I love your tutorials. The more, the merrier. And, the best part is you never know when the knowledge you gain can be used in other applications/programs/etc. Knowledge is power. Keep 'em coming, Cori!

I'm just getting started with my new Glowforge Pro. I am obsessed with fonts! I have listened to your podcast. I just started using Illustrator. Thank you!

@@HeyLetsMakeStuff So the purpose of creating a compound path is that all of that font or design appears in Glowforge together & then I choose cut/score/engrave. Is that correct?

@@user-zv9is2ub7s Yes! You can create separate compound paths if you want different parts to process separately.

Fantastic tutorial! I am pretty good with Illustrator but knew nothing about fonts > SVG files. I have been enlightened! HAHA! Thank you so much! It's not as scary as I thought it would be! I'll be watching more of your tutorials! 🙂

Really enjoyed the tutorial and kinda makes me want to do an AI subscription but I already have too many subscriptions. Wish there was an almost free or free app or software the would do these same things for SVGs (besides Inkscape that is really a complicated program). Thanks again!

The only one I know of is InkScape, but I agree...really complex and not as user-friendly. I know people talk about Affinity Designer, which has a one-time fee I think, but I am not familiar with it.
