Cetera is a prime example of how a person's personality informs their voice. You can tell by the way he performs that self-confidence is clearly not something he lacks. Yet simultaneously his voice has a built-in vulnerability that contrasts so sharply with his self-confidence, and yet resides in the same space all the while. There's a fascinating complexity there that never gets boring. Lennon had a similar complexity to his voice.

Sucks more that Terry Kath died and this is what they became. Great song but man... The band was clearly not happy for quite a while before David Foster came in and breathed some life into it. I am thankful for the years the band survived with Peter. It is very hard for any band to stay together start to finish. It is extremely rare. And what Chicago was able to do for the last 50+ years and what Peter did after as a soloist is nothing to dismiss. It all worked out in the end.

The young guy Jason tries to sing like Peter and he isn't bad. But there's only ONE Peter Cetera!

+Hector Ramirez At least part of the problem was that Cetera wanted to drop the song keys way, way down to where he sings these days. Somewhere there is a video of him doing "25 or 6 to 4" in E (rather than A), and it just sounds....wrong. A - Ab - G - Gb - F - E. That's a helluva drop.

+Hector Ramirez Some website published an excerpt of a letter that Cetera had written to either Chicago's management or maybe Bobby Lamm. You'll have to Google it, because I don't remember which site it was. Sorry.

How do you play the transition and "Get Away?" All piano/vocal/guitar sheet music I have is just for "Hard to Say" and not the fast cool stuff at the end!
