Nice Film! Great choice of music very fitting. And Yes, in the 1920s the West was still consider the very wild.

This was wonderful to see. My mother was born in 1929, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and is still alive (and very active) as of 11.17.22.

Neat little film on our very own Rose Festival.
When the event first began in the early 1900s, the floats were made from streetcars and ran down the tracks in the middle of the streets.
They were even powered by the overhead wires.

The float at 5:24 looks to have a model of a WW2 looking fighter plane on it.

I'm not sure the music is a very good match for Portland, regardless of the year.

Herman Kanin had a small orchestra that played at the Multnomah Hotel in Portland in 1929. George Olsen, another Portland bandleader of that era, gained national fame.
