What a beautiful rescue !!! So clear and such a great and complete work!!! You get to the individual personality during that time. That’s what I live to see!!!! Oh Thank you so very very much!!!!!!! Yayyy
A nice episode showing the people of Portland in 1929 even though there was a great dpression coming they were having a great time with a parade with floats bands etc
Neat little film on our very own Rose Festival. When the event first began in the early 1900s, the floats were made from streetcars and ran down the tracks in the middle of the streets. They were even powered by the overhead wires.
Herman Kanin had a small orchestra that played at the Multnomah Hotel in Portland in 1929. George Olsen, another Portland bandleader of that era, gained national fame.
This channel is so cool. Thank you so much for this.

Nice Film! Great choice of music very fitting. And Yes, in the 1920s the West was still consider the very wild.
Line the streets with flower petals, now that's a festival. ✨

Americans living free and having fun!!!
This was wonderful to see. My mother was born in 1929, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and is still alive (and very active) as of 11.17.22.
Thank you for sharing

That was a pretty cool video ! Thanks.
The float at 5:24 looks to have a model of a WW2 looking fighter plane on it.
Everyone is an actor in these films.
I'm not sure the music is a very good match for Portland, regardless of the year.
Bluegrass music is good
