- Following on from the previous video where I designed some seascape compositions on my iPad using ProCreate, I am working on the next stage of my painting process and that is painting a colour study.
In this video I show you a seascape colour study I painted where I give you some specific tips on painting rocks.
I'll be making more videos as the seascape project progresses.

Fabulous video Samuel. I told Sula that the best painting in the studio was yours - I believe it was a view of the sea and cliffs off Icart Point. Is it still there?

@@SamuelEarpArtist i have family (actually all my family) in guernsey but I live in Canada. I'll check when I (hopefully) visit this summer.
I paint with acrylics. I begun painting a couple of years ago even though I have always had talent but, never used it until now because, I had babies young. My babies are grown so now I can take time for myself to paint. Now that I know how to do a lot with acrylics, is it difficult to switch to oils?
Hey, awesome you are painting again. In answer to your question it’s not at all difficult to make the switch from acrylics to oils. In my opinion I think oils are much easier to paint with than acrylics 😊
Hey Sam, random question. What camera do you use when taking photos for the studio work ? Or do you know what is the best set up for accurate photos ?
Hey Allen, I use a Canon 800D for taking photos of my paintings. I also use this same camera for making me videos as well 😊

I use the long flats. Rosemary brushes are awesome 😀
