League of Legends is one of the few games that has done a good job at preventing players from cheating. Of course, that hasn't stopped people from trying. Over the years tons of players have been permanently banned due to running cheating programs. However, with trial and error these programs have improved and it's possible that Riot Games is now struggling to handle cheaters at the speed in which they used to. What's most surprising though is that some of the highest ranked players in the game are taking advantage of said cheats.
Today we take a look at how Challenger players are using cheats.

EDIT: I made a big mistake in the editing, the screenshots of the cheater's account in the first story do not belong to the cheater.
He was still a Masters / Challenger cheater but the actual screenshot is incorrect.
Confusion happened due to the cheater changing his name and then someone else taking a very similar name.

im glad the source code is getting leaked. it should show if they are lying about not having a season 4 server or something similar. even if they dont at least we are significantly closer to private servers. idgaf its not nostalgia old league was just better.

I’ve seen people use this cheat as well as scripts in PRE LEVEL 10 blindpick games. How pathetic can one get.

Its possible that right now many more "private cheats" exist for LoL than a few years ago. Private cheats are coded from the ground up and only shared to a small user group who pay a lot for such a cheat and if they are coded right, it is possible that an anti cheat does not detect them at all. The big ban waves usually happen with the public cheat programs, paid or free, as riot can find/buy and analyze them.
People are alot older now as compared to years ago, which means they can spent a lot more too.
Creating cheat for giant game like lol alone is something VERY rarely who can do, let alone to make it good and undetectable.

@@ogio1601 nah not with tech getting better every year, we just had a massive wave of screen cap cheats in shooters that make it impossible to detect unless the anti cheat engine in question is installed on your PC monitoring programs like vanguard is, or EAC (which by the way doesn't tell you it runs in the background like vanguard does). On that point I think cheats have gotten so bad that it's making people intensely paranoid about the games they play as well as what sort of anti cheat they're downloading and whether or not it's collecting data they don't want being collected. End of the day cheaters literally only harm the gaming community as a whole just to feel better than somebody else and cope when they take L's so they don't belong at all. You're either getting a toxic person from em or somebody who's ruining the game.
Scripters aren't banned instantly because it would only make the problem worse. They have to be banned in waves so the scripter can't just trial and error cheats and see what will and won't get them banned.

I played with a Gwen that auto pinged every ward the enemy placed even during an intense 1v1 top lane fight when the ward was in bot lane. NOT SUS AT ALL.
To be fair I press f2-5 regularly even in fights. But definitely dont have enough apm to ping a ward

It's insane the amount of scripters I'm finding this year compared with the past years.
What makes me tilt most is that I'm a master EUW player with 1million points on thresh / blitzcrank and I can detect scripters after the second hook I throw on how they position/they move but my Adc (that never played skillshot champions) will always blame on me.
Back in time scripters couldn't reach diamond, they were banned before reaching it.
Nowadays 1 game out of 20 there is 1 scripter in master 200/300 LP game.
It's so disgusting.
How you can detect a scripter :
His positioning is disgusting, like gold or platinum Elo , he doesn't respect harmful skillshots like thresh or blitz Q (he doesn't stand behind minions or out of range) but he always will dodge it. He starts moving at the very first microsecond you start to throw a skillshot. His "on ground" clicks are Inhumans, check replay of the game at 0,25× of speed and look the micromovements , its not humanly possible to click 6 times in opposite directions in 1/4 of second .
They will stand perfectly on the edge of ground abilities withouth touching the borders or entering in it (like anivia R, veigar E) in the meanwhile they keep autoattacking and moving towards the perfect edge of the ground skill.
They always lack on game knowledge, they often dies a lot because they can't position as we said before ,they have very low knowledge on wave management, they goes in like 1v3 alone : if you never played skillshot champions, that is the way to recognize them.
Same here. Before this season I could count the cheaters on one hand. But this season it's way more common. I'm a Rakan main and it's so frustratinf when ADC starts flaming me for missing my W even though they are blatantly scripting. Already dodging the animation when I barely clicked the ability myself. It's so obvious most of the times
Had a set do this a few days ago. Playing thresh in fact dude would consistently back up or stop walking on reverse flay. But then confidently walk up to me when it's off CD and continue to do the same. Went on to play with him and he was TF and dude just demolished lane no problem. Had to be either a challenger Smurf or a scripter.
You can't detect a scripter just by how they dodge lol, plenty of "good" scripters don't even use dodge hacks.
The most common cheaters I've encountered play adc and build glass cannon attack speed turret smashers, so they just go for turrets and then use their scripts to kite and dodge so they can range you down. The reason why assassins are so strong in the meta right now is that it doesn't matter if someone scripts, they can't out kite a naafiri or a yone or a zed or a talon or basically any assassin that has the ability to leap onto them and delete them in 2 moves and an auto or two. Just play a champion they can not cheat against, who forces mechanics on them, don't play skillshots. Such as if you're playing a bruiser, go Mord, can't cheat against a mord ult.
I dont script and oftentimes bait and dodge skillshots. It's a hella fun 6th sense to develop. Soon as roughly close to the cooldown is up, just walk expecting them to grab. I've dodged many abilities just like that varus did that faker was on about. Constantly doing it perfectly would be suspicious, though.
Dont be mad your hooks are insanely predictable and claim scripts.

There's also the fact that someone who is using hacks in challenger is very likely knowing well what they are doing as well as using every measure possible to avoid detection, while "14 year old you" probably blatantly had autoaim and autododge enabled all the time making yourself extremely easy to detect :P

People scripting in Challenger are mostly likely high elo without scripts. People in silver don’t make it to challenger scripting.

You all seem to miss one thing. The guys mentioned in this video are all in the Challenger tier. They participate in global LoL tournaments regularly. Therefore, there is a huge difference in how Riot perceives their acts of rules' violation. But rest assured, if you try to follow their example, being in Silver at best, you will get banned very quickly.
As you said, RIOT doesn't care - unless it's pro play which brings them money.
Same like the bug and glitches. As long as they're not threatening their bottom line the bug and glitches will stay.

@@Zed_eS They attract shit ton of attention to the bugs even if it's not profitable. So yeah, they ingore it unless the problem gets TOO much attention and pro play is one of the best displays for that.
@@ReigoVassal I think you underestimate the efforts done by Riot. I once had a bug where my Draven's ult never came back to me (it just flew away from the map and I couldn't use my R anymore, since the cd starts when the axes return to Draven). I made a ticket, giving details on when it happenned and how. The very next patch the bug was fixed.

THE HACKERS THAT HACKED RIOT ONLY GOT THE CLIENT STUFF. Nobody even bought that stuff on hacker forums. All the stuff was very very likely client side info. that assumption is based strictly on the files that were shown off by the hacker on hackerforums. People just clowned on that guy in there too for selling something that is useless

Hey, yeah big mistake on my part I've explained it in the pinned comment and other's replies but basically the cheater's account did eventually get banned and Tarzaned had changed his account name to a very similar name as the scripter. And I had his account labeled as the scripter's, I should've triple checked but I thought surely no one else in challenger had that name lol... Very unfortunate mistake.
I hate to break it to yah, but the time where bots can mimic real player actions is only a few years out. Currently Old school runescape has bots that hold top 100 positions on the leader board (literally 10s of thousands of hours) without being played. There will be a day where it's impossible to know if someone is scripting
thats not true, scripts are easy to spot because they dodge the second an animation comes outs, its nothing like the runescape situation.

It's actually so easy to make scripts that aren't detected. For example, for the ward script, instead of insta pinging the ward, make a script that pings the ward at a random time between 3-7 seconds after ward is placed, or at the closest moment out of combat, to avoid suspicion. For skill shots, you can script so that there is an uncertainty, and when it's a guaranteed land, have it land off-center.
You are right. That ping on pinkward in enemy base would never be suspicious with random delay.

It's not that easy not to mention you have to program the prediction which isn't that easy either, most of the platforms don't even have a perfect system for prediction.
@@D3DREVOBro It does not even have to be random. For the action of pinging the ward just do a FOR i=1 to 3 seconds. It makes It look like random but is the most simple thing and almost nobody will expect someone to ping in 1,2,3 seconds and then repeat.
Surely riot could detect when a player has a high percentage of pings on wards placed without vision of said ward.
Some thing Riot has been keen on in the years is dealing with cheaters and hacks. They are never public about the big waves of bans that go out or the methods they use to detect the cheaters. Why? This is because the less they know that Riot is on to them and being ahead of them, the less effective their cheats are over time. Good video none the less!

The amount of bugs recently occurring in the game seems alot more than usually. Such as infinite gold bug and mana cheats with cookies and other shop items. It can't be a coincidence that the source code got leaked and all these bugs are occurring.

Some time ago one of my accounts got hacked and then automatically banned for cheating. sad story is he still lost games while he had his cheats running. After my acc got unbanned it was rebanned shortly after as riot banned all accounts that were hacked together with mine allthough i had already redeemed mine immediately. i think a lot of cheats are actually tested on ahcked accounts on whether they get banned or not before they are sold.
Unrelated but the clip at 5:00 actually hurt my brain for a second after noticing the names of the players and the champions not aligning
Problem with no banning scriptor instantly is it give shitty experience for people who have to deal with it. This is like someone borrowing 100k from the bank and spend it all on luxury. Then the credit card bans him. The damage is already done to everyone around him.
The fair would be to return any mmr/lp lost in all of the games where a cheater was involved and being discovered later on.

And this is how any games dies.. When you start noticing that most of the players are cheating, you just lose any interest and uninstall it. Same happened with battle field games, the old ones, same with gta 5, it was great game until every single lobby had modders which just kill everyone every second, obv a lot of people still play them but most of them are the cheaters themselves playing against the cheaters
On eune there has been this whole year a scripter in 1k lp challenger and he never gets banned and almost every week I see a new Zeri, Xerath, Ezreal, Kog maw only account that somehow are quite good at hitting and dodging abilities

It would be pretty interesting if the league source were to get leaked. Could you imagine the aneurisms any coder would get trying to decipher leagues code? Or better yet it gets leaked and people actually fix the damn game. The game needs a complete code rewrite to stop all these change one thing and fizz using e on this pixel does infinite truedamage to everyone on the map shit.

The Varus was 100% only banned because Faker said something. Same shit with win traders. Riot failed to act until only after Faker brought it up.
If they think the other team is cheating or your team is cheating, get the support to place wards in base? That is funny as hell.
While League is well known for it’s spaghetti code, Riot usually is very good with keeping cheating out of the game. Compared to other competitive games, Riot’s games probably have one of the best anti-cheat systems. I think the reason we are seeing a bunch of cheating right now is due to the 64-bit update. But once Riot iron’s out everything, hopefully cheating will become very rare again.
No it's always been the same, the longest a scripting platform will be down after a patch is maybe a few days but usually within a day, when the 64x was announced all scripters panicked thinking it would all be over but infact the platform developers had already updated the platform to 64x and released it when the game updated so it was seemless, it's an extremly complicated problem. Also a lot of scripters tone down their setting down in order to seem legit (hunanize or outright turn off auto evade, not use spacebar combos, etc) and like top comment said there are private ones that haven't been detected in years probably due to limited slots.

What does the 64-bit update have to do with it? The reason why you don't see as many cheaters in league is because most things are processed server-side.

LoL used to be the pinnacle of anticheat. Now people freely cheat in arams like it was never a bannable offense. I've had 3 confirmations that cheaters i reported were banned this month alone and i only play aram. Imagine how many there are in regular games
3 months ago on EUNE server rank 2 challenger was a scripter that was not banned for over 2 months, every game he would type on all chat that he is in fact scripting and that riot wont care about anything he says/does. He had 70%+ win rate in 1k lp chall. Kinda hillarious how riot just doesnt care

It's funny how I have my chats turned off, but mass report enemy team at the end of the game for toxicity and always get a few instant report feedbacks. The LoL community is quite interesting.

This already exists, its called a hwid ban, every valorant ban uses this, so the guy cheating cant play on the same PC again, never again, the problem is that there exist programs called "spoofers" that change the ID code of your hardware, thus bypassing the hwid ban, every competent cheater has access to a spoofer

They both IP and MAC ban but you can change both your MAC and IP.
I had a Yasuo scripting in a normal game once, it was very funny he would nade and instantly ult and i mean INSTANTLY, you wouldnt even see the the nade animation start. We even googled the script and it popped up, wouln't have found it funny if it were ranked tho.

If I'm not wrong, Riot recently killed their x86 client and indirectly killed all scripting tools. The issue with scripting tools is that they simulate inputs and are therefore incredibly hard to detect unless there's clear video proof of orb walking or skill dodging.
Scripting is very much still a thing, trust.
updating to 64 bit did jack shit, most scripts are already fully updated and it didn't really matter. also, most of the scripts don't "simulate" inputs bruh, before shouting out false info, just say nothing
@@FayScripter actually they do. external scripts always. calling functions directly from the game can result in a higher detection rate. so instead of calling shit like issue order & cast spell directly, you can simulate it to make it less detectable. of course that can make it slower but if your code isnt shit it can be as good as calling ingame functions directly
@@av8r195 In my experience slow/clunky scripts go undetected longer than really good optimized ones.
I use skin changers and I think it took 1 day until we had a updated one so Im pretty sure that didnt matter at all
In sea you could get a scripter + ddos attack in the same game and those players gets away every damn away even tho they're wildly known as cheaters.

I play mostly Support, I can tell within the first 5 to 10 minutes if we have a scripter in the bot lane. Mostly in the ADC position. I think it's still pretty rare, when think of the last 60 games I'd say there was 3 at the most, I was on the same team for 2 and 1 against. One of these were blatant, god he didn't even try to hide it.

Im just sad that the source code isn't used for custom public servers. Imagine. Twisted treelines, ultimate spellbook. free skins. custom maps. It would be cool
I used scripts before for the lulz, and i can say several things.
1) You will hardly ever get banned, even when you dont even disguise it, exploits like Kalista double Jump, or Camille instaq2, are what would get you banned (nope, SIon drift wasnt an insta ban)
2) Pick and adc, and it will play iteself, just keep the spacebar pressed and it will do everything
3) Scripts are cheap, as of a 20$ membership for 1 month
4) Theyre usually very complete: Orbwalker, utility plugins (enemy cooldowns, enemy backs, alive camps, skill indicators, evader, auto ward, auto cleanse, base kill, et cetera)
5) lets you do spins :333

Orb = OrbWalker ( movement and key settings ), Pred = prediction the prediction of your spells to land with humanizer and otehr settings, evade = obviosly evade, Xerath AIO is wave clear and combo settings
i have seen garanteed crits, infinit gold , zero CD, trinda ult on any champ, etc, you can just cheat on league for a whyle now, game is full of cheats bugs and glitches
Played against a scripting midlane twitch, as I'm a very nice summoner and chat restricted, I couldn't tell my team. They found out when it was too late😅

okay but can we have some of the scripts features, like Sums CD on enemy, jungle camp timers, and at least ally abilities on their hp bar, and maybe camera can come out a little more :D. Would make the game more interesting as you can focus on fighting rather than, keeping track of cds : D
I was playing in a game against a pantheon the other day that convinced me he was scripting so i said in the all chat "if your not cheating impressive, but if you are, your a pussy" and he proceded to plsy normally the rest of the game and we won. Lmao it was pretty glorious.
