I always take my Weber GA camping. Normally do hot smoked salmon and smoke some snags. Also been able to smoke beef ribs and cheeks, small briskets. With the Kingsford blue briquettes I’ve managed to have it going for 5 plus hours
Nice one.. bit of a tip with your grill cut it in two so you can lift one part to add extra briquettes. Also a smaller chimney so it can fit in the unit.
Mate you’ve inspired me. Long time viewer, first time adding comments to YT. Great to see how break down BBQ for the Aussie audience. Keep up the great work.
Great to see you using a GA! definately my favourite, most used bbq. they are so efficent on fuel and can cook pretty much anything, even low and slow up to 1.5kgs.
Got one of those when I got married, my first bbq, 20years later still have it today and one of my favourites to cook on. Highly recommend the Weber GA, top choice Aaron
@@LownSlowBasics nah, was a wedding gift in black, now have a black kettle premium and today received the Smokey mountain also in black, matching set !

I just bought a new Weber GA. Would like to get some suggestions on some spots in Victoria where I can BBQ with charcoal outside of home.
I’m from SA so can’t help you there sorry.
Great to see you using a GA! definately my favourite, most used bbq. they are so efficent on fuel and can cook pretty much anything, even low and slow up to 1.5kgs.
They are awesome hey! I had one a few years ago.
Just wonderiing to save on charcoal could I do the final sear on a skillet inside on a stovetop. Would it make any difference to the taste ?
Definitely could! I love a cast iron sear
Have you considered using charcoal for the sear stage?
Absolutely! Charcoal is great.
