    I remember when these two came in, and I wasn't sure about 'em at first. Will they have the wit, will they have the flow? ...and John Anderson nailed it. We're finishing the back nine of an era.

    John Anderson, it has been an adventure getting to hang out with you on Sportscenter. It was always like hanging out with friends over an adult beverage talking sports. Will miss you on ESPN. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

    1:40 Seeing them younger and how they are now we have truly come a long way. I’m 30 now and Sports Center has been truly life for years and John you will be utterly missed beyond no measure

    It's the 2000's, you just got home from school, you turn on SportsCenter and catch up on the day. This man was one of people responsible for making the day just a little bit nicer. Thank you.

    He will be replaced by a unlikeable sport anchor who isn't qualified. They have to fit a checklist instead of hiring qualified Anchors. Espn quality has falled off a cliff.

    Not even gonna lie the era of RUclips killed the magnitude of watching an hour long show of highlights to the point where once I cut the cord, I probably haven't seen Sportscenter in a decade. That said, John Anderson and Steve Levy were such a large part of my childhood and he has my utmost respect entering the relaxing chapter of retirement

    Anderson and Levy were on the desk plenty together and built a nice chemistry for sure. I been watching Sportscenter since 2002 or 2003. It's weird starting to see all these guys I used to watch on Sportscenter retire. Levy will probably retire soon. Stan Verrett will be soon. It's just more signs that I'm gettin old.

    I’ve been a sports fan since 2004 so I was fortunate enough to catch the final years of decent reporting and interesting anchors. Not just people shouting nonsense for views.
    I guess I really am old now.

    Sad to see him go but happy for all the memories. I was 7 when I started watching SportsCenter and John Andersen is absolutely one of the reasons I have tuned in daily ever since. The humor he brought along with many of the anchors of the time was ahead of its time. Thank you, John.
