I remember when these two came in, and I wasn't sure about 'em at first. Will they have the wit, will they have the flow? ...and John Anderson nailed it. We're finishing the back nine of an era.
John Anderson, it has been an adventure getting to hang out with you on Sportscenter. It was always like hanging out with friends over an adult beverage talking sports. Will miss you on ESPN. Best of luck in your future endeavors.
All these anchors The ones we grew up watching in the morning before we left to school or late at night when we're doing our homework catching up on the highlights
1:40 Seeing them younger and how they are now we have truly come a long way. I’m 30 now and Sports Center has been truly life for years and John you will be utterly missed beyond no measure
“We hope you’ll join us again next summer, when get another batch of crazy people. Go up against our insane obstacle courses.” goodbye john anderson, have a good life king
It's the 2000's, you just got home from school, you turn on SportsCenter and catch up on the day. This man was one of people responsible for making the day just a little bit nicer. Thank you.
25 years!! Amazing milestone. Hopefully he achieved everything he sat out to do. I don’t know how he was able to go through this without balling up and crying.
He will be replaced by a unlikeable sport anchor who isn't qualified. They have to fit a checklist instead of hiring qualified Anchors. Espn quality has falled off a cliff.
Not even gonna lie the era of RUclips killed the magnitude of watching an hour long show of highlights to the point where once I cut the cord, I probably haven't seen Sportscenter in a decade. That said, John Anderson and Steve Levy were such a large part of my childhood and he has my utmost respect entering the relaxing chapter of retirement
Stan verrett Neil everett John buccigross Steve levy John Anderson jay Harris Linda cohen Hannah storm Kenny mayne Scott van pelt and Stuart Scott were the GOATs man what a time to be alive
All the legends quietly getting tf out of dodge, ESPN will never be as good as it once was 😅. Sad to see the goats go, we really got to grow up with some amazing voices. Can't ever be replicated ❤
Anderson and Levy were on the desk plenty together and built a nice chemistry for sure. I been watching Sportscenter since 2002 or 2003. It's weird starting to see all these guys I used to watch on Sportscenter retire. Levy will probably retire soon. Stan Verrett will be soon. It's just more signs that I'm gettin old.
John Anderson, another great SportsCenter anchor that will be dearly missed! He always made the viewers have a good laugh! Also was a great co-host on the ABC show Wipeout!
I’ve been a sports fan since 2004 so I was fortunate enough to catch the final years of decent reporting and interesting anchors. Not just people shouting nonsense for views. I guess I really am old now.
This one just hits different! He deserves to retire he has put in so much great work for all of the Sports World. John Anderson you sir will truly be missed
Sad to see him go but happy for all the memories. I was 7 when I started watching SportsCenter and John Andersen is absolutely one of the reasons I have tuned in daily ever since. The humor he brought along with many of the anchors of the time was ahead of its time. Thank you, John.
Salute to John, I remember watching him and guys like Stuart Scott etc in the 90s when I was a kid, great anchor, enjoy your life!
He was fantastic. I even appreciate his commentary on Wipeout. Gonna miss hearing him.
I was just going to say this. 100% !!!!!!
Had no idea he was leaving ESPN till now, he's one of the last remaining anchors left from the GOAT days of ESPN. Thank you John Anderson.
Is he just retiring ?
Linda Cohn, Steve Levy, and Karl Ravech are the real vestiges of the old ESPN.
@@HoldPublicPigsResponsiblelaid off... what espn is best aat
Ikr... no Neil Everett... no John Anderson... espn isn't what it was.

Great guy! Wonderful work John and please know you were one of the Best at ESPN. Thanks for the memories and awesome Sports reporting.
One of the best to do it, man you were an inspiration for me wanting to tap into journalism. John Anderson one my favorites will be missed.
I remember when these two came in, and I wasn't sure about 'em at first. Will they have the wit, will they have the flow? ...and John Anderson nailed it. We're finishing the back nine of an era.
Incredible display of appreciation and class. Best wishes!
It's amazing how much he has changed. I don't watch as much tv but he has been great.
John Anderson, it has been an adventure getting to hang out with you on Sportscenter. It was always like hanging out with friends over an adult beverage talking sports. Will miss you on ESPN. Best of luck in your future endeavors.
God bless!!🙏🏽
Thank you John Anderson, you’ve been part of my childhood and adulthood all these years 🎉❤ 😢
All these anchors The ones we grew up watching in the morning before we left to school or late at night when we're doing our homework catching up on the highlights

Congrats and enjoy retirement! Thanks for the memories John. One of the OG’s.
End of an era. Thank you, John
Legend
We have no idea how good we had it during the golden days of ESPN. Gonna miss him
Great. But let’s also give it up for the incomparable Nicole Briscoe 😮 🔥
I remember when ESPN first started when I was in college. I didn’t think it would last 😂
We will never forget you Josh
🫡 childhood legends leaving
😢😢
GOAT
Last of the greats!
There’s nothing funnier than the sportscenter commercials!
Yall be ready, Steve is next
The (unnecessary) shot at the Cubs is how I know he’s from Wisconsin
ESPN are losing the few anchors they still have that actually made ESPN feel like ESPN, sad
Oh well
it sucks watching the stuff u grew up with become bad
You’re getting old dude the world changes.
One of the last of the original he was great n a Huge part of my child hood n teen years. Salute and will miss you!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

After 25 years as anchor on SportsCenter, John Anderson bids farewell to ESPN. Thanks for the memories, John.
My favorite quote is earth’s full. Please go home.
Countless nights I've spent with sportscenter on to lull me to sleep, in the nicest and most respectful way. Thank you John Anderson

Nicely put. In the 1990's, you got home from school and turned on WGN to watch the Cubs. Then Baseball Tonight a bit later with Peter Gammons.
One of the pillars of ESPN is leaving. I don’t know the reason behind it but ESPN lost one of the good ones.
John Anderson, Neil Everett, Stan Verrett, *hot quarter*
The best time between 10 PM and midnight. I'm sad bro 😞
I feel old. I can remember young John and his Packers mug on Ch. 6 in Tulsa.
Tearing up big time 😢
25 years!! Amazing milestone. Hopefully he achieved everything he sat out to do. I don’t know how he was able to go through this without balling up and crying.
Because he's a man
John Anderson ESPN SportsCenter Legend it’s been an honor watching him.
Another legend from the golden age gone. Wish all the best however ESPN is sinking and it’s bad
Every since Stuart Scott passed, the good anchors have been leaving, replaced by bums. Stephen A Smith leading the way
Dude wont be part of the LA circus media franzy about bronny for the next decade
Wising you the best John!
He will be replaced by a unlikeable sport anchor who isn't qualified. They have to fit a checklist instead of hiring qualified Anchors. Espn quality has falled off a cliff.
An OG
From all of us sports fans. And I hope you see this. Thank you John 🙂
Thank you for spreading the true meaning of sports for 25 years 🔥

Just another sign that cable TV is dying. Cant afford to keep all the OGs and all the greats are retiring!
