Someone's put a lot of thought, money & effort into creating that grain cleaning setup. Just a quick look tells me that these guys know what they are doing & fill me with confidence, after all the grain they are cleaning is vital to how next year's crop is going to grow & produce enough tonnage to keep the farm profitable, hopefully. In theory working with the best team you can put together should produce the best results.
Congratulations for 200k subscribers. IMO the best farming/agriculture channel on YT (by far...) Remember when I #found# your channel, a video where you and Brian were fixing a water pipe. Cheers from Portugal
What an impressive cleaning rig! And...lordy that beltveyor can move grain! Thanks for taking us along Mike, stay warm (we to have -9 F tomorrow... where F & C is almost equal)
This is a big upgrade from our days of cleaning seed oats with a Clipper Fanning Mill set up next to the oat bin. My dad would have ran a germination test during the winter to be sure the oats were good to use for seed. Shoveled the oats in and then shoveling it out into sacks to be hauled to the field when we drilled oats. A sign of spring.
And we used to clean seed by putting a Clipper cleaner on planks across the bed of our Studebaker truck and running seen from the overhead bins of our crib. Maybe 50 bu/hr on a good day. Crib still stands, wish I still had that truck.
Bent bows on your screening trailer Mike, hit them with the loader bucket, or did probe get them at the elevator or Terminal? It happens. Looked like every cross bow except 1 got bent tho, on that trailer. Maybe I'm looking at where a center pipe is supposed to be, but that trailer doesn't have a center pipe. We don't mess with super bee down here in the States as a rule. At least not in here in Minnesota. 42 foot trailer can easily haul 80000 lbs and 10% more in winter. A high side 42ft tri axle trailer and tri axle tractor can be permitted for even more. But our axle laws are different than yours as are our drivers onduty hours of service. Informative video tho Mike.
interesting set up with the cleaner, i run a cleaner nearly the same but a bit smaller for 5 years in england. we didnt have the sitting room tho lol that would have been nice. we also had a chemical treater on board and put the clean treated grain in half and one ton bags. congrats on the 200k subs mike .
Howdy Mike, I hope your staying warm, its currently-35 here in Southern Alberta, Uh...remember Mike needs a empty trailer.. ya know referring to oneself in a third person is a sign of mental instability right ?? At least the guy leaving this message said so 😉🤣 Stay safe, God Bless and Farm on my Friends
Hey mike hope it goes well for jou and the family in 2024. In the last jear i have not mis a singel vidoe. Love the big agri eq. Hope one day we can meet in person. But i,m in south africa. And i,m only turning 16 this jear. Sins a was a byby love trakters and agri eq and no that we are on a smal farm farming with sheep and alfalfa as u no it we call it lusern. The farm is about 35 hectars with very good water. We are also expanding by buying two more farms one with ten hek with almonds and 30 with field some ready to plant more lusern and some already have some lusern, the athore farm has a lot of hills and koppies. The outside field is good for grysing for the sheeps. For me to see the massive eq more i see jour vid and also play farm sim22 😂 thanks mike hope jou have a very good jear of 2024 regards to ashton an the family😉
Maybe a dumb question, but what do you do with the 'screenings'? Would you sell them to cattle farmers for feed? Thanks, from a non-farmer. Another great video. Thank you!
New and old crop prices are absolutely pathetic. New crop durum $9.24, wheat well below that. Barley is almost worthless. You know what’s out there. Rising inputs and falling commodities is going to make for a long yr. Hoping for moisture to stay a float. Trying to find enthusiasm to keep playing this game.
I see all you guys got is a sieve and a gravity table. Not seeing a whole lot of cleaners that have indents or Carter discs then a sieve then gravity table
As big as y'all are why don't y'all have your own grain cleaning facility for the whole family and then whoever has the best crop you have the best grain😳😳😳😳😳😳 then you can build a nice heated facility that's simple and it's only in one spot and you just hauled a good grain to it😋😋😋😋😋😋

Congratulations mike on 200000 subscribers. Good times , Ty everyone for helping Mike out

C and f don’t get equal till -40
I drive a Navistar also, I hate when it beeps and does not shift at low RPMS. If I drive a freightliner it shifts,at almost any RPM .
Mike this is impressive. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you and your family and best wishes. You feed the world.

That's a heck of a mobile cleaning rig. It does a fantastic job.
Pretty cool stuff, get it sorted in the field.
Thanks for the tour. Excellent.
Nice cleaning rig gravity table sure brings final sample up
Great awesome video mike , that time of year again

Just so you know, your mic thing actually works very well! it really does help!
Cleaner was built in Dysart Sk by Scott Macknak and his crew at SMS.
They got a sweet setup

That’s a nice setup 👍
Mike's truck got probed, we all got to do it someday. 😱
Thanks for the amazing vids Mike
Nice cleaner!

Here is too an optimal germination and harvest! Good luck
Congrats on 200k subs
It looks like you might be converting Ronald over to the Fent tractors. And they are trying more winter wheat. You might need to take a trip to Iowa.
Can't wait to see those new BIG RED beasts this spring lol
You never fell othose stairs on the trailer Mike?
You doing that so fast.😉

Need get a loader put on that 930 and it'll be a beast. You can get them for it.
Your audio sounds fine.
What kind of grain trailers are you running? Is that a special option with the side by side hopper gates?
Maybe a dumb question, but what do you do with the 'screenings'? Would you sell them to cattle farmers for feed? Thanks, from a non-farmer.
Another great video. Thank you!
That or mix it into clean stuff you are selling if it's not too much.
Wheat screenings sell just fine, can get #1 for it often. Lentil screenings not so much, take what you can get or sell it to a neighbour with cattle.
That cleaners an awesome machine. How do they bill you? By the bushel, time, the crop, or all 3?
Magnifique matériel de nettoyage pour les céréales est bien intéressante 😂😮😅😊
Heard of those mobile rigs...never really seen them up close, tho
Hello; What do you do with the 10% waste small etc. If for seed why do you not also treat with chemical at the same time
Did the seed cleaners copy the gravity table off the gold miners or was it the other way round?
Brrr.looks pretty snapper on that video.
What is the hourly/$per bushel charge for a cleaning rig like that?
Same question I was going to ask.👍
About $1/bu
@@mikemitchell2554 , that sounds reasonable.
Hammy for the win. Winter jacket the the L
Mike how come you never wear winter boots
How many kw is the generator on his seed trailer?
Webasto ftw!
How many acres of wheat are you planning on planting at the North Farm in 2024?
all of them...

I know... It's not a very bright outlook right now
Morning
Mike, why get rid of small seeds? Wouldn't they still grow a plant?
You would, but smaller seeds have less viger, may be a sign of poor genetics. So we, as farmers, always want to plant the biggest seed possible !
@@kevinmeyer3884 cool. Thank you so much.
I see all you guys got is a sieve and a gravity table. Not seeing a whole lot of cleaners that have indents or Carter discs then a sieve then gravity table
Do you clean out the big unload auger between different crops?
The best we can yes..
@@mikemitchell2554With the sight of the 12/3 green extension cord my guess is Costco finally got some back in stock
Can I come drive that White amd red 9900 international for you
Germ tested prior???
Yes, but the results weren't back yet
@@mikemitchell2554 hope you get a good result fingers crossed for ya
👋😊
And make a profit at it for doing it for everybody else😮😮😮😮
