The drummer and guitarist are both gone (brothers). Dimebag Darryl (guitarist) was killed onstage, shot by some crazed “fan”. Sad.....🙁, his brother died not to long ago (cardiac arrest, I think).
Dime and john lennon both were shot on December 8th by a crazed (fucking idiot (fan)). 2 fully different spectrum styles. dig'em both.

I did not realize until your post. Both Dimebag and Lennons murders were on the same date. December 8. Very sad and senseless. I remember Lennon's death very well. It had snowed that night and my mother (who disliked Rock intensely) came in to wake me up to tell me no school, snow day! On her way out the door she stopped and said "oh and someone killed one of those Beatles." And walked out the door. I will never forget that, 40 years later it's still a perfectly horrible slice in time. I remember Dimebag Darrels attached to a radio talk hosts comments about how Dimebag was like Biggie and Tu Pac, implying they all got what they deserved. I remember this clearly because it pissed me off. No one deserves to get gunned down because of their music. Now Tu Pac had the whole love by the sword thing so he might disagree with me but isn't the ammo in a rap war supposed to be words. Isn't that the whole point? Music should not end in death. RIP Dimebag.

10s is a fucking great track. Personally I think that whole album is wicked underrated. Suicide Note Pt. 1 is an absolutely beautiful and brilliant song. Yes I do mean Part 1. So many people pass over part 1 because it starts so soft and slow, but I think it's Phil at his best. In regards to lyrics and actual singing.
Everything in the great southern trendkill came out raw of feeling with what Phil went through at that time

You’re right. They had blues influence for sure. One of Dimebag’s favorite players was Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. They were the greatest at that groove metal. Listen to A New Level or Mouth for War.

Pantera absolutely owned it between 1990 and 1994. They chewed up and spat out every metal band from before and after them...especially with those incredible live shows.

When this song was released, there was a club in Arlington, TX that loved to play this song during metal musical chairs. It was fucking wild. I sure do miss those glory days.
Vinnie died earlier this year and his brother Dime, the guitarist, was murdered on stage in December 2004.

Yeah, Vinnie Paul passed away on June 22, 2018 from "dilated cardiomyopathy and coronary artery disease." On December 8, 2004 his brother Dimebag Darrell was murdered. Very very sad! My first concert was Pantera. The Vulgar Display of Power tour with crowbar opening up for him Aragon Ballroom Chicago think I saw them another 4 times after this one of them being the Reinventing the steel tour

My Niece with getting bullied at school because she is dark skin half Brazilian in a school of the North of USA with only whites in the school. So my sister had my niece listen to this song when they start bullying start sing. Imagine a 9 year old walking in school singing this song." I love Pantera... and this song is kinda like my personal mantra. It's pretty much about fake ass people and having no time for that bullshit, which is how I try to live my life.

Dimebag was murdered on stage in Cleveland Ohio in 2004 while playing with DamagePlan. Shot in the head by a psychologicaly discharged Marine that thought he was being backstabbed by Dime and his brother Vinnie.
This has been my walkout music for boxing matches, listening to it here has got my heart rate upto like 100bpm xD

I used to think they could do one last show with Zack Wilde on guitars, but after Vinnie died, I thought it wouldn't make sense to just have half the band members.

The drummer and his brother, the lead guitar player died.. Altho it was years apart. Dimebag died at a gig, he was shot buy this dude, and Vinnie just died this year..
Vinnie died from a heart disease sadly enough.

Def a great reaction. Pantera has a southern swing and groove to their sound since they're from Texas. Alot ov their songs are hard like domination, but alot are like walk. Check out 5 minutes alone, cemetary gates, I'm broken, this love.
Damn. Sorry for catching this video 3 yrs later but I’m surprised you caught the blues aspect of them. If you took the amplifiers and distortion off the guitars they would be very bluesy and some funk in there. By far my favorite band of all.

nice choice man, cant go wrong with pantera. Many moons ago I used to idolize dimebag so hard i wanted to be him. would sit in my room and learn pantera riffs all day pretending I was him or jamming with them. Still my hero tho.
You might like the Band Down, Lead Singer of Pantera is the Singer of that band. Temptations Wings is a good starter song. You might like the band Crowbar as well.
It was Vinnie Paul and his brother Dimebag Darryl Abbott Dimebag was shot dead at a damage plan club show in Ohio just outside Cincinnati and Vinnie Paul died from a heart attack a couple of months ago

Despite what everyone says, I honestly feel the first listen of any song should be the studio verion. I only like watching the live performances if im actually at the concert, not on youtube.. (Assuming you watched domination LIVE & couldnt hear shit because of the crowd)
