wise words
And after he was so good last week, he once again used the shotgun in VATS...
This is Many a True DJ, remix version...
@@alexisauld7781 maybe he just needs to Understand (x6) The Concept (x2) of love (uh!) :P (Jet Set Radio!!!)
That scorpion incident feels perfect for an endcard
Along with Jon panic firing in VATS and never targeting the 95% chance stinger to avoid the poison. XD His reaction was priceless.
That and the 'Ooo, spouts...'
I also like "Nuclear Power Boobs"
100%
Feel like he's been due for an end card update.
Jon: "Blimey, I'm taking a lot of rads."
[Hazmat Suit in Inventory]: "Hello Jon."
It's not a bad idea to do Vault 88 with power armor because of the radiation and nasty creatures
Jon's journey into scorpion land had real Knight Titus vibes.
fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
Just a reminder for John that the vault-tec DLC tiles are automatically connected by wires in the "floor" so no need to connect both reactors to the same power pole.
A little tip i found, if you have it: the automatrons you can build have an insane S.P.E.C.I.A.L lineup, matching what you'd expect from a companion or special settler, but only in a few fields, but that's why i stuffed my facilities and engineering dept's with them.
Side question: Are automatrons still stuck at 50% Happiness in settlements or does Sim Settlements mod that?
So, robots do take our jobs in the future?
@@Kokally I think that's a bug from base game. Or rather base game with Automotron.
Wasn't that due to a mod?
@@Kokally Workshop Framework (which is required for SS2) has an option in its MCM settings to change what Happiness value Robots are stuck at.
Oh man, I can't believe we baited Jon into all these scorpions. Vault 88 is such a huge mess for creatures
Petition to make Jon do the Scorpion hall!!!!
Recreational Plots: Train the SPECIALs of Settlers up to 10s. One stat at a time.
Everyone should get Endurance training = Disease resistance.
11:10 if you want to see jon freakout like he hasnt in a while
When Jon said "Home Sweet Home" did anyone get hangman's Alley vibes from that haha
I forgot to mention on the previous video, but my main source of nuclear material is tactical weapons.
With two ranks in Scrapper, which Mayor Bob is one point of Intelligence away from, you can get nuclear material from any non-pipe weapon with a reflex sight.
The mayor is also getting to the level where plasma weapons and ammo should be at least moderately accessible('plasma-infused' works too, but is a pure roll of the dice whether it shows up on something usable or not); and gooified enemies are a very steady supply of nuclear material.
Without some levels in Science! or decent luck it'll probably be a somewhat mediocre plasma weapon; but even with enemy levelling there remain a variety of trash mobs that certainly won't be able to stand up to it.
My tactic for exploring once the control board is installed is to make several turrets and pop them out before bringing down a limestone wall.
Jon... I stopped the video halfway, so I can remind you of something. If you decide to go after the rest of that nuclear material, and don't really feel like fighting the creatures AKA rad scorpions on your own... Remember you've been getting a whole bunch of material and in Vault 88 you have the rare opportunity of using turrets as an offensive weapon.
Takedown the wall, set up four or five turrets, go in and activate the enemies and then run back towards the turrets. Not only will they attack the rad scorpions, but they will distract them while you are shooting them. It's one of the many benefits of having a build menu in an area with active enemies.
ill have to keep this in mind for myself when i finally decide to play through this mod pack for myself and need to hoard the ridiculous amount of uranium
@@warbringer11128 It's great fun... And if they are not waiting for you at the wall, you can stay and build mode in just maneuver the turrets in. If you upgraded the ability to build them up enough, Rocket turrets lay waste to everything, and you never lose a bit of ammo.
Uranium fever has gone and got you now!!
When Jon was detailing the horrors present in the caves, I wondered if he’d stumble across the one set of beasts he failed to enumerate. I was not disappointed. 10/10.
Surely the fire rate on the Staggering Minigun makes up for the low chance of the effect triggering.
Mostly, yes, but a non-automatic with a fire rate of ~50 is entirely feasible and delivers the same result.
Says the man who admitted to a catastrophic maths error in this very episode 🧐
You could always test it by shooting codsworth , he never goes hostile.
You would think by default, miniguns would have a stagger effect that much kinetic energy dumped into a target has to have a staggering effect.
Even with the slightly lower rate compared to a semi-automatic, they still stagger plenty.. just ask the companion I gave one to who kept staggering me doing a melee run in every combat (Inspirational prevents companion damage but doesn't prevent legendary procs...)
@@ViralMag_Ravager The does get some opportunity at inherent stagger(heavy gunner adds a chance to stagger at rank 4); but not as good as normal automatics(where commando adds chance to stagger at rank 4 and higher chance at rank 5).
It's sort of an odd man out among the weapons just because of how it's classified, since there's no provision for a weapon to be both heavy and automatic.
I've been re-watching the F4 YOLO run and I was thinking "That's a heck of a lot of rads for survival mode" watching this.
Jon: "I can't really remember what's in here..."
Me: "Radscorpions. It's radscorpions, Jon. And also a deathclaw. But mainly radscorpions. So many radscorpions..."
This episode is brought to you by the words "this is" "no" "more psychojet"
Start of this just reminds me how sad I was base game to discover that despite what it said on the tin, Scavenging Stations did not collect junk for your settlements. I forgot what it was but apparently there was some insultingly low cap like 50 items that if they were in your workshop would stop people from adding junk. And if your settlements were caravan linked it was even worse as those items counted everywhere apparently.
Wonder if this mod fixes that. Because that would be a great quality of life upgrade that I'd definitely appreciate. My scavengers actually scavenging and not deciding because they have like 20 Mutfruit and 30 water in the settlement "Naaaah", and forcing me to keep buying out of pocket or going hunting to expand.
Yes and no. Sim Settlements 2 has a seperate system called Virtual Resources. The Industrial plots produce materials and get stored in the Virtual Resources system, where they are then used by the other plots / systems of Sim Settlements 2.
There’s a mod to lift that cap and I can’t live without it. Just another pain console players inflicted on us 😉
@@MaximeDeClercq And I think there's some third-tier industrial plots that turn the virtual resources into proper scrap without regards to the cap.
Disregarding sim settlements and other mods, so just regarding vanilla scavenging stations; do you know if components count? Or is it just junk items? Like, if I withdraw the junk items and scrap them into components, does that essentially clear the workbenches capacity?
@@julesmasonlynch It counts anything in your workshop. A typewriter, box of gears, purified water, etc. It sucks.
10:45 you fell for one of the great tactical blunders
I do enjoy hearing gunfire during a dialog and seeing it take you a few minutes to realize you've been under attack.
And with that scorpion nest we witnessed the speech centres of Jon's brain do their best impression of a gramaphone player in an earthquake.
Jon: I hate radscorpions!
Also Jon at 10:20 : LEEEEEERROOOOOOOY JEEEEEEENNNKEEENNNNNNSSSSSS!!!!!!!
I believe the scorpion situation was the perfect time for a Nuka grenade and is why I keep a couple in inventory along with the Makeshift weapons pack - Chinese grenade launcher. 😂😂😂
I could not believe he ran forward and not back.
@@JoeR1066 your enemies can’t adapt to your strategies if you don’t even know what you’re doing.
FYI - The Ventilator's quest doesn't work as intended if you're on good terms with the Institute
If you want to have a good (bad) time, take a shot for each time Jon says "that's"
Day 122 of requesting Age of Mythology (A full playthrough if possible)
Building a town in the vault cavern somehow seems really dang cool even though there are entire series of books based on how bad an idea it is to take the mole man route.
John your people in the HQ need more food and water. If you will not fix that then some of them might leave the HQ.
When Jon repeats the same words over and over in his moments of panic it kills me on the inside 🥲
I'm impressed how well the sim settlements team managed to keep a voiced protagonist, reusing & remixing pre-recorded voicelines from vanilla
Glad u kept calm under pressure also hardest iv laughed in a really long time
Vault 88 with a huge water pump and lots of space for a settlement that could be built by a mayor....
I haven't played Sim Settlements this far, but I'm willing to bet plugging that stuff back in is gonna make the Gunners come back.
A refreshing beverage would sort your rad worries out
Yes, here we go!
I love the complete 180 from pussy jon to badass jon, I'm rewatching yolo fo4 and while I get why pussy jon would've shat his pants when he saw the brood mothers in the beginning, badass jon just oneshots them all without stressing even one bit
Jake's trying to make tic tok... back away John.
I amways think of the Institute for aluminum, thanks to Jon's playthroughs.
Let’s gooo more Mayor Bob adventures 🎉🎉🎉
He never told us what "THIS IS". The horror of not knowing.
chalk!
I'm honestly surprised at how many stimpaks Jon is carrying around in survival! 72! That's just wasted desk fan space
Love following along with this series, sim settlements made my game way too crash-happy for me to stick with it but its fun watching Jon play through
Same here! My game was crashing so much I finally just uninstalled the mod. That's too bad because I really was enjoying it - when it played nice!
Other than reactors, the only time I needed nuclear materials was for glow sights, on me pistols.
Jon's favorite creature list: bloatflies, mole rats, stingwings, hermit crabs, cave crickets, bloodworms, and radscorpions.
Vault pieces snapped together share power, so they didn't need to be hooked together. Only one of them needed to be connected to the grid, but more power lines isn't going to hurt.
The problem is that the multi and the % stack, John. That 15% gave you (if you stared with 300 dmg on the sneak attack) 345 damage. While that is 5 points less than just going Ninja would of been, keep in mind they both STACK. Max both ya dingus.
This is, this is, this is, this is, this is, this is, this is such a good mod!
"With the right machinery I can draw clear blue from cloudy brown." Bud, literally anyone can do that with the right machinery, it's called a water purifier and it consists of tubes, a pump, and filters. Keep the filters clean and don't let the pump run when it's dry and that is LITERALLY all you have to do to maintain it for YEARS.
Hi Jon, Good to see you today!
Just combine sandman and ninja for the ultimate sneak build. Just slapp a silencer on your sniper and you're good to go.
It's odd to me that I've never seen Jon build a proper vault using the tile system. Maybe I missed a series where he did but I always found that strange since I figured he would love building a big sprawling vault
He did! Don't remember which series it was but he had a fun little story about the vault he made up
Petition to name an episode where Jon goes deeper into the scorpion zone "In the Hall of the Scorpion King." And have CGI Rock scorpion on the thumbnail.
This vault quest is Jon’s version of fallout 3’s “Those” quest. It’s called “That’s” 🤣
I don't know if that still exist but I was able to scrap enemies in workshop mode in 88. Hilarious.
There's SO much nuclear material in the Vault Tec DLC area he starts in lol. U gotta explore n scrap some rocks er something
I've never known anyone else to speak to tge character like that. I do the same thing, and even go through mock deliberations with many situations.😂
Poor Jon -- I mean, I don't think ANYBODY likes radscorpions, they're horrible little buggers, and to have to fight so many of them -- and for no decent drops! Ooof. . .you're lucky you got that Cunning Chestpiece and Staggering Minigun from your adventures. And I am so pleased that the Two-Shot Combat Rifle got to absolutely slaughter that Mirelurk Queen -- I'm going to be fond of that gun forever simply because mine is so awesome. :D
ceramic and aluminium are always a bit short in supply, even in the base game.
Thats why I normally take all the plates, ashtrays and coffee mugs I find with me, as well as tv-diner tablets, surgical trays and aluminium cans.
After you do this for a few dungeons, you should be fine for building up the odd power armor or reactor.
But my playstyle always is a bit of a horders.
I will up my strength do 10 as fast as possible (after getting the essential perks like lone wanderer and ninja and sneak), then get the bobblehead, get strong back and get pockets on my gear for arund 400 - 425 pounds of carry capacity (in survival mode).
I use that and what dogmeat can carry (with a little moded K9 vest with extra pouches he can carry around 80 - 100 pounds) to clear out any dungeon I go in of all desk fans, typewriters, glue bottles and duct tabe rolls, dinner plates, hot plates, globes, flip lighters, pocket watches and of course drugs and ammunition I can find.
It bothers me big time, that John does not even take all the ammo he finds, because its perfect for selling all the surplus. Its mostly lightweigt (especially the 38) and gives a lot of money.
With all the money you can then buy junk, if you still miss something specific.
For me its normally only one shipment of ballistic fiber....
The other exit would have been better Jon, it links up to just outside Milton General
All ghoul settlers have 10 intelligence, including the vault tec rep. I raided The Slog for scientists at my HQ.
Didn't you earn the option to build farms outside at the Headquarters? I could swear it gave you outside options for building a few episodes ago.
Wait if Margaret does 50% more damage against synths, isn't that worse than a Troubleshooter's Hunting Rifle? I thought synths were considered robots, so Troubleshooter's does increased damaged to them as well as regular robots.
A few things:
1) I will always advocate for the useage of the Eyebot pod as a resource hunting device, if only because you get to grab everything else at the site it finds and maybe explore dungeons you wouldn't normally go into.
2) On that note: Robots. Automata are excellent, and I always build at least one settlement staffed with heavy duty bots to act as my breadbasket. Often Greygarden because it's central and staffed with machines anyway.
3: More of a general question, are there any meta mods that add named settlers for SS2? Or in general?
Really liking the series so far
At this point, I'm convinced Jon doesn't play the game with audio on at all. How did not notice all the gunfire during the conversation with the Ventilator?
Legendary gear that ups SPECIAL stats could be given to settlers to up their SPECIAL stats, right? And that makes them better at certain jobs.
So someone can put on Jon's Bolstering Metal Chest Piece and suddenly be one point better at farming.
A settler can only ever wear 1stat bolstering item at a time. So legendary items really don't do much compared to regular old outfits.
Fun Times
If you haven’t played it yet you should play the America Rising 2 mod for Fallout 4.
If you need unclear material just switch to a plasma weapon . You will get heaps of drops from your kills.
Oh, looks like Jon's doing a bloodied build. Or not.
I wonder if the uranium is really safer in your pocket than it is a few meters away...
Maybe Jon will finally realize pistols are the most powerfull weapons in the game on survival (Revolvers replace snipers, deliverer is frankly broken, energy weapon pistols for rapid fire and basically infinite ammo, unlimited vats rounds, low weight cost, with the right perks can basically hip fire as accurately as snipers, fully upgraded gunslinger basically makes them as powerful as rifles but their fire rate tends to be way higher). Seriously, pistols are broken.
I am so late 😱 I completely forgot.
love john he has the most innocent way of saying "I was brutally murdered in my own comments section, for forgetting that i am currently standing on the largest pile of nuclear material in the entirety of the fallout franchise. not even lonely road which had 30 warheads and 2 nuclear missions has as much nuclear material as i do within literally arms reach."
this is.
I'm only like 20 episodes in on this series, Do you ever find the 100 to 200 ASAM's you can get at the Hardware store for free at the start?
Don't you still get the reactor plans if you complete the DLC quest?
I hope John insteall the Inteior NavCut Fix , mod cause that can fix a lot of navmesh issues
Doesn't Vault 88 have an existing reactor you just have to hook up?
Hey MATN I was watching some old videos of your and was wondering if you would do a sorta reboot fallout New Vegas YOLO series.
Engagement for the algorithm
"So, I heard you dont like radscorpions."
think about buying shipments?
Why do the majority complain about Preston Garvey? Jake never stops lol
Jake isn't a bald-faced radiant quest check.
There are steps clearly ratcheting the story forward. Instead of being stuck at a flag in varied areas.
He also isn't just "a settlement needs your help" over and over again. Variety in text improves how we receive him.
@@SCh1m3ra You have a right to your opinion just as I have. I've watched every episode of this and while the storyline is somewhat more exciting Jake is just like Preston and frankly seeing more of the built settlements would be nice considering the mod is about that.
@MaryMDoyle
Intention was to offer an insight, as someone who can't stand Preston for his implementation despite believing somewhat in his arc. Jake (and this whole mod) offers a look into what a less lazily designed Minutemen line could've been; instead, modders get to pick up the torch Bethesda couldn't deliver in spite of their promises.
I don't think John's going to spend too much time prioritizing building because he wants to showcase the story in the mod. The quests are still rewarding him with new stuff to build with and he's liable to keep going until it slows down.
Even then, most he's liable to do is get Hangman's and a couple others to build up with the new system in the background (or as an aside) while he completes the main quest. I'm open to being wrong, though.
Whoo! Second!
god i really dislike how the long barrel deliverer looks with a silencer
Good Afternoon Jon, this is ladies and gentlemen with your audience. Glad to be back with some fallout 4!
could you not have built the reactors AT THE HEADQUARTERS?
Day 143/1230 of requesting Jon play a game nobody will remember, like Majesty: A Fantasy Kingdom Sim.
Day 48 of requesting Jon play Okami HD
The thing is, I like Jake, I love Jake, I would smooch Jake if giben the chance, but at the same time he is a total ex-wife guy. His entire motivation is literally to get back at Karen because she took the kids. Worldstar.
Sorry, but I don't see that, anywhere in the message. He mentions the ex-wife once, and you label the guy based off that, I know who the "worldstar" is, and it isn't Jake.
JesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesus CHRIST.....skip the scorpion portion. Jon...please stop that.
