Jon, for the last time, you can't keep calling yourself The Sex Bot.

All cells that are changed by Sim Settlements have an intercom panel outside, near the door. These can be interacted with to load the base game interior cell instead of the SS2 cell. You can then go in, do the quest, come out, and interact with it again to load the SS2 cell in its place.
Really cool feature of the mod to get around the issue of quests breaking by sending you to cells that SS2 has changed.

Edit: At 16:16 you can see the panel next to the door. Flick that switch, go in, do your quest, come back out, hit the switch again, presto, back to SS2.

I was looking for the exact time spot too for Jon to see. It's as if the Sim Settlement 2 developers future proofed their mod for subpar creation club quests.
Yup. I found this out when I was doing Nick Valentines quest. I was frustrated at first and thought the game was broken until I looked it up; now I commend the modders for their foresight.
Inside Jon are two wolves: One is Bethesda's biggest fan, the other is Sim Settlements' strongest soldier.
He gives everyone a fair chance and doesn't pick sides.
Unless it's something like a murder mystery, then he usually latches on to a weird theory and never lets go no matter how hard it becomes to justify.

SS2 usually has a control panel outside the door of the areas they've taken over that will let you switch the door to access the vanilla version of the door/area. Not sure if BATFL has one, or if it works for the CC content.
The only thing similar I've encountered is the rocks from the Open Cities Skyrim mod. Pretty clever stuff.
Yeah, BADTFL does have one. And it just reloads the non SS2 interior cell. So it should work unless the Creation Club content is also a new interior cell, which I'm like 99% sure isn't the case for this quest.

Like above, at 16:16 you can see the small panel left to the door. All interior cells touched by SS2 have this. This will also help with finding the Eddy Winter tape in the East Boston PD building.
The SS2 guys are SO amazing incorporating something like this. They blow away Bethesda by leaps and bounds with their attention to detail.
The praises sung for SS2 can't be loud and public enough.
Jon the silver box next to ANY entrance of sim settlements 2 stuff will let you access the other stuff in the area.
Also seriously go drop citiy planners desks at ALL youre settlements it will handle all the issues you have at hq

In case you are wondering, the black devil quest leads to a set of X-02 power armour. Better protection than the X-01, and it can be upgraded with tesla coils (aoe energy damage centerd on you) on every pieces, on top of the regular misc mods. That and it has a special mod that gives the torso aoe energy damage, and AP regen from taking hits. I think it also adds a bit of movement speed, too. But don’t worry, you’ll get the opportunity to salvage whole sets of X-02 if you do any of the quests related to the next gen update.
Tiny Box Tim is a bundle of references and more and is likely the most meta character in existence.
Jon, you can kill synths, BOS, Minutemen, etc. out in the wild and the factions will not become hostile in FO4. RPG lite.
How would home base know, though? No witnesses, no crime.
Is the Tiny Box Tim character a Markiplier reference or just a coinsidence? It feels so much like a reference to Markiplier.

When he's going on about BADTFL I can't help but agree. Just let me clean up the wasteland! Maybe it's the contractor in me but so much of this is really just a few new walls and some paint. It's not that hard.

Not only does it put the new paid mod content to shame, for me SS2 has put the entire base game story to shame, how much better I would have enjoyed FO4, had the protagonist lost everything when the bombs fell, and then in their grief met this decent(?) man, just trying to reunite with his child. The whole settlement building mechanic has more purpose, the protagonist has more purpose (again, for me YMMV). The folx behind this mod should be incredibly proud of what they've done here!!

*snrrrk* I love Mr. Handsy, he needs to be in every episode from now on. XD Though, on a more serious note, your attempt to recruit X6-88 to your crack HQ team actually highlights what I feel is one of Fallout 4's biggest failings when it comes to the Institute -- the fact that you can't get X6 until you become the director. Meaning, anyone who does the Battle of Bunker Hill and tells Father to go flip himself, instantly making an enemy of the Institute, loses out on him entirely. Add in that I feel the Battle of Bunker Hill happens WAAAY too early in the main quest line for the Institute (after ONE required mission! I know they're probably assuming you're gonna do all the optional stuff for the other scientists first, and I'm sure most people do, but damn!), and -- yeah. You SHOULD get X6 as a companion after Libertalia, and there should be a LOT more space between Libertalia and Bunker Hill. More proof that Bethesda crawled so Sim Settlements 2 could run, sheesh.

oh my god... they have Tiny Box Tim.... Someone bring this guy to Markiplier's attention if he's not already played.
Again, the settlement workbench has a setting that allows you to increase the build limit. No need to scrap stuff anymore.
Go up to the settlement workbench, hit space, the top entry is the configuration option for the work limit. You can increase the limit over and over again but that can be quite taxing on your computer if you overdo it (like me, cough 16400% build limit, cough).
Edit: Nevermind, you remembered.
Edit 2: now that you've accidentally triggered the automaton DLC you might actually do it, nice and quick. Once you are through with it you will be able to use all modifications to build ridiculously overpowered, specialized bots for your plots or your HQ, if you've got the SS2 Automatron mod active. Yes, they take quite a lot of intelligence perks to build but, damn, are they useful. With the right mods you can have endurance 32 Mr.Handys for either caravaneer or farmer jobs, or as logistics bots in HQ. Agility somewhere along the 25 range for martial plots or security in HQ, int around 30 for electricity plots or science in HQ. Or finally perception again MrHandy's with multiple eye stalks for water or sanitation plots. They are so easy to build once you've finished the relatively short DLC. And it will cut down on the random bot infestations running around the commonwealth.
The title reminded me of the WKUK Sex Robot song. Now it's not going away...

If you can now find cures for all illnesses is that just SS2 illnesses or will that include Survival Mode illnesses and what about the molerat illness from 81?

Why not just set up spectical island as an industry hub? It huge, you could fill practically the whole thing up with every kind of industry available and never have to worry about parts again.

I started a new FO4 playthrough to try the SIM settlement mod, but the new update messed with the mod and even after updating my mods, the quest was stucked after getting the comm hub for the first time. 😢

Jon, the Hitman's combat Rifle is objectively better than the two shot, because two shot fires a 2nd bullet that does an extra 25% to your total damage, while Hitman's is just a static 25% buff while aiming without the RNG of a 2nd bullet.

How insanely big is this mod?
It really is like many dozen mods in one, perhaps as many as a hundred mods of all kinds and sizes in your load order. Not only the settlement building, the quests, the new NPCs, there's lots more. And it's all lore-friendly, fun, better-thought than most of vanilla F4.
For example, if you build the "magazine printer" industrial plot, it will sometimes have a new magazine for you to get. Unexpected extra collectibles. The theater entertainment plot has comedy skits, robot plays and drunkard singing, plus a woman you can pay for her to write and sing a song that will improve your faction's appeal to outsiders. As I mentioned in a commentary above, one sanitation plot allows you to bottle the filtered waste and craft an acid molotov. I'll refrain from actually spoiling anything important, but Jon hasn't explored that much yet.
It's frankly amazing, not only in scope, but in variety, execution and maintaining the quality.
3 Chapters so far all around 1-2Gb in size and that's without the optional extra mods that add more plots or quests. I think Jon is very early Chapter 3.
Check the plate next to the doors, you can get acccess to the old cell and the swtich ti back to SS2 when your done

@@Tazzasaurus1 Im pretty sure that, unlike what the dialogue says, the Handy never physically leaves the settlement to gather scrap, so Im fairly sure it still gathers it while working at HQ

At this point, the Assaultron will be one of the LAST robots to have a sex-bot version. Sexy Mr Handy, Sexy Protectron, Sexy Robobrain, you just know that next will be a Sexy Sentry Bot next.
Jon, in regards to BADTFL SS2 holotape has options to revert buildings back to their normal state and vice versa. Otherwise there is usually an intercom outside that does the same thing.
Finally I hoped he would activate the kill robots :)
