You said it all my man, the late 80s early 90s designers were artists. best looking bike ever bar none from the duacti 916 to the zx7 to the fzr and fireblades, sorry gixxers suzuki has never made a great looking sport bike to this day. Rider was traction control and wheelie control. Real racing
Not to mention thy just looked bitchin compared to the bikes today they all look jagged sharp edged and generic. Bike in the late 80s early 90s had style baby. Like the girls hair in the 80s just rocked and those french cut bikinis from late 80s rocked also.. 70s were wild style 80s were just cool, well most of it some is better left in the 80s but so much was great in late 80s@@goran2003

You had to feel in your butt when rear end was about to break loose or front was about to tuck, made riding a 100% focused endeavor or you ate asphalt. i know I saw every bump pebble wet spot on the road cause they could all be a crash waiting to happen. You had to be aware or you crashed. That focus was so much fun and that feeling of a 4 hitting high rpm the tingle in pegs grips you knew when redline was about to be hit no need to look at tach you felt the bike ike a appendage, you felt the revs @@goran2003
First real street bike after a honda sl 125 at 15 was my 1975 used but sweet and clean 400 four suersport in blue loved it, next bike was also first yr model 85 ninja 600 red and white also great bike. Man those were the days of great bikes so much fun and seemed like there were hundreds on the road every day. Bike shop parking lot full of bikes guys buying parts and gear. I swear in 85 there was in my mid sized town of like 200k must have been 20 ninja 600s about even in red white and blue white fzrs gsx cbrs interceptors gs 1000's ninja 900s then fire blades r1 r6 best year to be a rider and young. Not to mention we had the best music from late 70s early to late 80s@@goran2003

I rode a SP1 on Pannonia racetrack, but she didn't satisfy me. For me as an ex-Honda-racer the SP1 was the most unsatisfying race bike ever driven. On street one of the best - on racetrack 👎

The TL1000 was one of the worst bike ever rolled out of suzuki. I loved the RC51 but without a radiator expensive modification they ran really hot often retiring before the end of a 45 minute race

@@goran2003 From what I see all the modern superbikes are replicas. None of the factory sponsors and they are way too clean. Superbikes are pushed to the limits. They always show some wear. AH !! you can also tell my the swing arms look stock. WSBK's have upgraded swingarms.

"Original" factory superbikes, especially those from the 80s and 90s ... these are motorcycles made for racing, in quantities of only a few examples ... today they are either in factory museums, or in the collections of rich collectors ... or were deliberately destroyed after the season ended. Everything else is a kind of replica, more or less detailed, on which more or less money and working hours have been spent. All this in no way diminishes the experience of racing or the fun of walking along the pit lane. Cheers!

The TL1000 was one of the worst bike ever rolled out of suzuki. I loved the RC51 but without a radiator expensive modification they ran really hot often retiring before the end of a 45 minute race

@@goran2003 From what I see all the modern superbikes are replicas. None of the factory sponsors and they are way too clean. Superbikes are pushed to the limits. They always show some wear. AH !! you can also tell my the swing arms look stock. WSBK's have upgraded swingarms.

"Original" factory superbikes, especially those from the 80s and 90s ... these are motorcycles made for racing, in quantities of only a few examples ... today they are either in factory museums, or in the collections of rich collectors ... or were deliberately destroyed after the season ended. Everything else is a kind of replica, more or less detailed, on which more or less money and working hours have been spent. All this in no way diminishes the experience of racing or the fun of walking along the pit lane.
