  • Easily the strongest guardian in the game when it forces you to commit suicide to progress.
This glitch feels random. It looks like it had something to do with interrupting an attack animation by running away and postponing the fight (not always in that order). It never happens on the first attempt. When this is done successfully, Ghost won't do any more attacks other than steal a ring every second. He'll just awkwardly stalk you without creating vortexes or bombs like it normally does. When you destroy the pedestal, Ghost will try to dig a hole and you can't escape the fight unless you die. The glitch is fixed when you reload the fight where Ghost's name is displayed.
The first time I fought Ghost, I had no idea what to do. My first instinct was to cyloop the pedestal, but I did it too early. The pedestal emitted a little glow and the animation of Ghost connecting to the pedestal started after I cylooped it. That made me believe I had to cyloop the next pedestal. When that didn't work, I tried the others. Ghost was doing new attacks on the way, so I thought I was heading in the right direction. Eventually, I gave up and escaped the fight. I restarted the fight in the same session (where Ghost's name didn't appear this time) and finally decided to try cylooping the pedestal Ghost was connected to, and this exact bug happened.
It's weird because the second time I got this to work (the one in the video was my tenth successful attempt), I didn't interrupt any of Ghost's attacks on the first attempt. Ghost could still do other attacks as I raced to all the other pedestals without destroying them. When I destroyed the first one, the glitch happened. It's something I don't truly understand.
The Ghost fight seems to have even more bugs.
It can create vortexes in areas you're not even close to. There are trigger models that tell Ghost to start and stop creating certain vortexes. The start triggers are always active even if the fight hasn't begun yet. When you touch them and skip the stop triggers (if your path looks unintentional, you likely skipped a stop trigger), Ghost will keep making the vortexes as long as it isn't resting on the first pedestal.
When you escape the fight and Ghost is still returning to the first pedestal, you can cyloop it and the prompt to start the fight will never pop up. I don't remember if it had to be destroyed first before escaping the fight. I haven't tested this bug much, but I know it has something to do with cylooping that pedestal. You're not in an enemy encounter, so you can still save and bring up the map, but you still can't restart the Ghost fight.
