I dont think nigerian doctors know this.In Nigeria,the doctors tell you surgery is the way out.They don't talk about other options u could consider.I take this as sheer ingnorance on their part.They dont tell u about dieting and embolization. This is not to undermine the doctors but i think they need to do more.Govt hospitals aint even an option 4 laparoscopy.
This isn't surgery. Had it done last week and feel much better. The side effects can be early menopause, blood clots and pain. But very rare. It was either this or get the fibroid surgically removed. I didn't want to do that. UFE is fast & you can be back to work in a wk. 2 weeks maximum.
Nigerian doctors don't do embolization which is not encouraging at all. Some even advise you take herbs to dissolve the fibroid which don't work. It only prolong the pains and sufferings. I pray Nigeria gets better medically.
