It's a great immobiliser. However my question is does this void warranty on a new car. I've read that an audi owner had ghost installed by a ghost fitter. Audi car went in with an electrical fault, and they blamed it on the ghost saying because of that it wasn't covered by warranty. Ghost say it doesn't void warranty. So how would you deal with that situation. The only way I can think of is before having it installed you get it in writing from ghost and audi that it doesn't void warranty.
It would be nice to have had the camera looking at the dashboard so I could see what he sees. At 00:46 after he started the operation by pressing the Start key, he then pressed it again then scratched something on the console, then waited. I'd like to know what that was all about.
Hi. Is the code a series of numbers? Or letters? Or is the code dictated by what sequence of buttons/switches you press? Hypothetically, could a thief just randomly press all the typical buttons/switches a number of times and get lucky? Many thanks for helping me understand.
Thanks for vid . So if my service starts car when it’s on valet mode and then turns off car does that mean it’s off valet mode ? Or until I re-enter my code … As for removing ghost 2 when changing cars, I was told it would cost me just as much removing as installing so most best to have a new one fitted to new car
If left In service mode the car will start as normal without entering code until you re enter the code. It will exit service mode if the car is driven over 30mph for more than 15 minutes. The cost of removing and refitting the ghost is usually cheaper than a new system.
@@motorguard thank you … I guess it’s my installer that’s trying to get more money . Said it will cost the same to remove it and put it on another car that I should just buy another ghost when I change cars and leave this in 💁🏼♂️thanks for the info .. 🙏
Hi. It depends on the car its coming off and going on? Also wether it was installed by us as finding the ghost can be a challenge otherwise. Best to call the office. Thanks.
Hi. The Ghost is compatible with keyed and non keyed cars. What year is your 695? Or better still drop us an email at raf@motorguards.co.uk and we’ll be happy to help
Most likely due to the maunfacturers and insurance cartels who lobby the government, because they sell more cars, and insurance premiums keep going up. Daylight robbery....literally
@@motorguard Not to far from me. Well presented video. I will be coming up to you for you to fit x 2 of these. One to my car and one to my van. Thank you for posting this 👍🏻
They come with window stickers but we advise not to use them as your telling people what you have fitted to your car. It’s always better to be covert. We use our own stickers as they don’t give away what you have installed.
Great question. If a button on the car which is initially programmed to disarm the ghost stops working then you will need to use the emergency override code which is supplied with every ghost system. This code is entered using the brake and accelerator pedal on most vehicles. This will allow you to program a new disarm code too.
Hi. It really depends on what you prefer. Personally I prefer to get in and drive as opposed to enter a code but we have some clients who prefer not to carry any tags etc. Also the hijack protection on the storm (if compatible) is a huge plus. Plus the fact the storm can be upgraded to a full alarm for little cost in the future.
professional thievs probably know exactly where these are installed and how to take them out, including location of the tracker and the automatrix tracker. The problem with these systems is the the more popular they become the more widespread the information to defeat them becomes.
Good point. But that's why you go to a professional to have it installed and not someone whos full time job is fitting tyres or washing cars. This is the problem with this industry today. If the device is fitted properly then your cars not going anywhere. If they still took the car we wouldn't be in business 20years on.

Pretty much any immobiliser fitted to a modern car will leave a code on the ecu if the disarm sequence is not followed. But the rightful owner will follow the sequence be it entering a code or pressing a button on a remote so no need to worry.
Hi. I have just taken delivery of a brand new Focus ST and my insurance company have stated that I must fit a Cat 2 immobilizer but it can not be a 2-1 system for them to insure me fully. May I ask does this system comply with their criteria please?
Hi. If they have asked for a Cat 2 system then this will not be suitable. 2-1 is basically a stand alone alarm which works alongside the factory immobiliser. Because the factory immobiliser is easily bypassed a lot of Insurance companies are asking for additional immobilisers. You need to go for a Cat 2 immobiliser as a minimum or a Cat 1 alarm. If you call the office on 0121 373 3122 our sales team will be happy to discuss options with you.
That’s awesome 🔥 didn’t know there transferable. Definitely worth the investment.

supposedly it's industry standards approved so I don't see how it could void a warranty but that's a good question

Can i buy this in Portugal, and install it in some shop ?
What happens if the vehicle stop/starts in traffic, would I need to input the code for every start?
Hi. No you would not need to input the code every start/stop.
Hi. Is the code a series of numbers? Or letters? Or is the code dictated by what sequence of buttons/switches you press? Hypothetically, could a thief just randomly press all the typical buttons/switches a number of times and get lucky? Many thanks for helping me understand.
Hi. The code is a random sequence of buttons needing to be pressed. The code is programmed per car by the owner so impossible to guess.
Can I pair it with the app ? I keep seeing online that it’s not advisable
Hi. Is there a guarantee on it working if the car is broke Into. And is the price the same for Jagged ipace.

The Ghost system is compatible with most modern Keyed or Keyless Cars.
