Great video. I have owned this knife for several weeks, and I am amazed at the sharpness of the blade. On my Edge-On-Up Sharpness Tester it scored a 140 which is better than a utility razor blade.
I love mine and it replace my ZT 562CF as my EDC. The 562CF is M390 and I like that the MSI is M390MK. I love the shape of the blade and the handle fits my hand well. I carried a Benchmade 710 for many years and I love how the RAM-LOK easily flicks open like the Axis locks do. I don’t care about the “lack of detect that was mentioned in the video”. Overall, great knife and a great value from Microtech.
I just got mine..after months of being sold out...I mistakenly received a partially serrated one, I ordered a plain edge. I didn't complain because its still a great knife
Great video! Thanks for the content. A little info you from a corrugated box maker IE cardboard box maker😂 . Your first board is called double wall. Any your second one is single wall. Just a little info for your future reviews. Thanks again for the great content just bought one of these MSI with the FRN handles!
Someone had mentioned stretching the spring a tad to get better detent but that would cause issues trying to put it back together, although one might be able to get a little stouter spring...that might help.
I know this vid is 6mo old but I just got one of these. The “detent” strength must’ve been improved because the action is similar to the drop bear from kizer or Demko shark lock. Thoroughly enjoying it. Maybe give it another shot if this was your only experience
Yes, the newer ones are actually listed as "v2," so very possible they listened to feedback. If you measure the Ramlock button and it is .250", then you have a V2.
I just got this knife and the clip was annoying so I just took it off and used some pliers and table edge to flatten it out a bit, it's significantly better and took me 2 minutes.
Just ordered one tonight. The FRN is damn near indestructible and light as a feather. I have other G10 handle knives and really don't love them. I'm excited to get more hands on with the FRN. Plus $100 more for G10 is idiotic.
@Bumblesnitch thanks for the feedback. I'm currently leaning toward the black polymer apocalyptic. I've seen some videos say it was a little too blade heavy and just didn't want that.
I reverse flip mine easily... Maybe yours needs adjustment. I usually depress the lock to open/close it one handed. "Slow roller?" This life is super smooth and extremely high quality, so Im confused why u have so much trouble opening this blade. Odd review.
@@doodysdaggers hella dumb but that’s how they create the want and drive and will also be able to use that to at some point up the price to I think. I could be wrong though.
Glad I wasn't able to get one, not impressed with it. Soft M390 and everyone is complaining about the mushy action. I've also heard several people complaining about really bad lock stick.
Oh everyone is complaining😂😂😂😂I own 3 and never had an issue with any of them,And I beat the shit out of these things and they’ve never failed me. I’ve had more issues with Benchmade with their springs breaking in the Bugout. Every knife company has its issues but using a statement like Everyone is complaining lol…Must be nice to Here from everyone who owns these knives.
@@1977NOBODYI just ordered one. It'll be my first legitimate microtech. I just adore how they look. I think they've adjusted the heat treat by this point.
Some microtechs seem to be really big in the hand. I know my stitch auto feels really big. It’s kind of ridiculous, but I love it.

I just picked up one at Blade hq.
I simply love it. Adding skiff bearings and og scales next.

Godd video on testing the Microtech. Thanks!
I’m glad she worked through the cut test. I was thinking it would do pretty good! Haha. Great video brother!
Absolutely man! That is some great bladesteel!
Thanks again 🤠

FYI, cardboard terminology is single or double wall to describe the layers. Good vid!

Hmm interesting, I could see that possibly working. If the knife was mine I’d mess with it
The Microtech Ram-Lok Folders are awesome! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
I find that I can reverse flick it holding it higher up towards the pivot. Pretty awesome knife though for sure
Man, I would love this knife if I could get used to the detent. Great vid Dood!
You can easily get this knife right now. Eknifes and DLT

Nice test thanks
Love my MSI
My knife needs no wrist
Great knife works very well!!
I love my MSI, worth every penny.

That works !
I’m glad it did well. To bad for the hotspots and bad detent.
I know im late to the party. Ive been wanting to get one. I cant decide between a frag g10 or the polymer. What are you guys thinking?

Actually kind of shocked. That’s cool
Haha yeah
I liked this review.I'm glad it wasn't a stupid torture.Test like a spine wack test. then you cut yourself and cry about it. Great job.

For that price it better cut good😅
The voice over is kind of odd. Some points are in past tense, others like it’s present while filming. Nice video though.
Such bull shit it’s so hard to get. I hate that shit!! Love the looks and usefulness of it
I know it’s really dumb
