It's so cool how everyone plays bones differently, I wish sessions in the USA were more welcoming of bones players but it's also extremely hard to play them consistently on the beat so they get a bad reputation. Bodhran players aren't always on the beat, either ;)
Thank you James! This is totally delightful and a perfect way to keep the tradition going! Caitlin Warbelow is incredible and I am glad to know who she is.
Great video, James. I fully enjoyed every second of it. You truly are the _Bone Dady_ :) It would be fun if you could do a tutorial video "Bones for noobs" and show the basic technique of bone playing. Just a short 4-5 minutes or so, because I just can't get my head around how it's even possible to produce some of those rhythms you play. p.s. beware of the bots posting "wanna be friends" comments. I see these accounts posting same thing all over youtube and I'm sure they have some deep dark agenda going on.
@@naokidrums You're welcome :) Iv'e seen the video you mention but it's a bit over my head since I'm not a percussionist myself. I'm just a music lover and you've made me totally fascinated by this instrument.

Thank you for the kind words :) I already have a bones lesson I posted many years ago, but I might be putting out some stuff aimed at beginners soon!

FANTASTIC!
I think you were the best and Barry Patton second
Thank you! It was all for fun, and I’m just glad we were able to get everyone to play together virtually :)
