To clear up people’s confusion about this band’s sound, Fíanna Bán (Irish for White deer) does not claim to be traditional Irish music. They take inspiration from multiple cultures across the northern hemisphere. The “Norse sound scape” they create is actually from the rhythm of Native American style frame drums and rattles. In contrast the indigenous frame drum of Ireland we are use to hearing in Irish traditional music is called a Bodhrán. There is no evidence throat singing was used by Celtic peoples and only one vague source it may have been used by Norse Vikings and is most common in Siberian and central Asain cultures. The flute they play is called a Feadóg or penny whistle in English and is an indigenous Celtic instrument to the British Isles. The flute Melodie’s are very traditional in style. The vocal style is obviously modern and very inspired by Wardruna but does have origin in European folk singing if you go back far enough. The language they are singing in is Irish Gaelic natively called Gaelige Na hÉireann which is their indigenous language and is of the Gaelic branch of Celtic languages. The music videos use imagery and clothing inspired by Irish mythology. This band has their own unique artistic sound and aesthetic. If you want to hear traditional Celtic music only using indigenous Brittonic Melodies and instruments my song Dawns Y Telwyth Teg is my cover of a traditional Welsh march using Bodhrán, tambourine, Feadóg (we call Chwiban in Welsh) and Welsh bagpipes all these instruments have been historically played by the Celts.
@lysanamcmillan7972 well for one. I am a historian. Also, there's a few sources on Irish mythology that mention colors of religious significance to the ancient druids.
Every now and then YT algorithm throws up a gem.

Hmmm you got the correct blue and white colors for the old Order. I've never seen modern people get the details right before.
Do you have evidence for this claim that a historian might find valid?
