Once AGAIN, I just finished rewatching these final episodes with some first time viewer friends last night. The timing on these uploads is getting scary Shark are you in my walls?
"The true ship of arcane" Oh you have NO idea. This season absolutely SHOOK the Jayce/Viktor fans lol I totally understand why you got emotional during their final scene together in the last episode, it's absolutely gorgeous and heartfelt, and SO meaningful!! They truly need each other
two of my favorite things about episode 7: Jayce taking apart his hammer and using it to build himself a leg brace is just such a perfect encapsulation of his character arc. It shows him growing beyond his Hextec and reminding him that he IS a genius inventor that can create things that can help people. Piltover was the city of progress before Hextec and it can be after it. The other one: The dance sequence between Ekko and Powder is animated at 4 frames per second. Four Seconds. All the time he has on his rewinds
It's also a very cool parallel to Viktor, I think!! Gravely injured leg, living at the very bottom, looked down on... He had to rise to the top all by himself!!
it's even fucking cooler because Jinx dodges the tendril meant for her with her shimmer but is caught after with the tendril meant for Ekko so he was able to stop Viktor, i love this show so damn much lmao you got as emotional as i did in the end, it was intense since i dont think i've ever seen that strong of a reaction from you, loved this video man
I just figured Viktor didn't know where Ekko was because Vander was distracted fighting Vi and Jinx the whole time, while Ekko wasn't doing anything because he was unconscious. And all of the other tendrils only attached to people that his hivemind knew the locations of/could perceive. So, he missed Ekko simply because he couldn't "see" him.
47:26 Apparently, in this Alternate Universe thing, if your alternate self is still alive, your mind will take over it so Ekko and Heimerdinger took over their AU counterparts meanwhile Jayce, his counterpart isn't exactly living in that reality anymore so he got to use his actual body in the wasteland of Piltover.
Jayce almost killed himself in the main Arcane reality. In the AU, his illegal experiment killed a child. It's 100% Jayce did it in that universe, Viktor never found him, Hextech was never created.

Fun fact The scene towards the end of ep 9 showing cait looking at the files was actually showing the ventilation systems. And jinx fell down the exact same hole . You can aso see a streak of shimmer like jinx's speed boost going in the dame direction of one of the vents

All jayce needed in the end, compared to all versions of him that failed to convince Viktor, was more time, so who better than the Boy Saviour himself to break and freeze time itself by throwing the machine at Viktor, to give Jayce all the time he needed to convince Viktor. And its all thanks to this timeline, Future Viktor gave Jayce the Acceleration Rune, which is the one Ekko used to create his machine, that rune was the key to this timeline's survival

Even if the finale had it's flaws I still view this series as one of the best animated series ever. Hopefully the next show will be as good as arcane, League has a really interesting world and honestly Piltover and Zaun aren't really that interesting in terms of lore comparing to other regions so the material they have is really good
I do wish there was more focus in the finale on wrapping up the Zaun/Piltover conflict. We got the stereotypical "they unite against a common enemy" bit but afterwards all we see is that the undercity gets ONE seat on the council now. I think more time needed to be given to that central conflict because it felt like it got left behind after about episode 4
So you probably didnt notice but, Jinx is alive. If you pause before the explosion there is a pink shimmer streak flying away from the explosion heading towards the air ducks where Kaitlin was looking at at the end of the scene. Kaitlin is letting Jinx get away and Jinx is doing what Silco told her to do, walk away and she is doing so by faking her death so we should be seeing her again very soon considering Jinx is kinda League of Legends poster child

My personal favorite theory is that she was a Noxian warmason, infiltrators sent in ahead of the army to get into positions of power and weaken the target country. Either way, she died like she lived; A rebound. Also, not Singed literally just winning. XD Finally, though I'm sure you've heard this by now, people are beyond convinced that Jinx survived, and for good reason. From the lack of a close-up of the explosion consuming her (Contrasted with her suicide attempts at the start of the episode, which did have close-ups), to the pink streak racing away from the explosion for a few frames, to Cait looking at the blueprints for the Hexgates, specifically ducts that lead out of the top chamber, to the final shot of an airship that seems completely unconnected to any of the characters... Until you remember that her first line of dialogue (Excluding her song) was "One day, I'm gonna ride in one of those things."... The evidence just keeps piling up. Now, I don't think that necessarily means she'll return for Arcane 2.0 or whatever, at least not in a major role, but either way, it's really cool.

So the fact they took that walking stereotype of a villain from the game and via this show turned him into this deep, tragic, sympathetic, amazing character is an absolute writing triumph. Nah, old Viktor wasn't like that, it was a mess, sometimes he would be just a chill guy trying to sve people, others he would force others to be converted to cyborgs, he was insconsistent as fuck, but never just a villain

Victor and Jayce were certainly an unexpected favorite couple of mine at the end of the series. The way during the fire scene Jayce envisions VIKTOR after Mel?? The comparisons between these two are absolutely insane. Plus; looking back at previous scenes and THEN Jayce’s memories of it are so interesting. When he first meets Viktor the background is clear for the audience, but in the memory ALL he can remember is Viktors face. When Viktor saw him after he had come back from the alternate timeline, he didnt smile. Jayce’s memories, however, show him smiling??? These two are the unexpected gays of the year like oh my god.
I almost feel like it goes beyond romantic or platonic standards? Like, gay or not, they feel like soulmates, in the purest sense of the word. It’s very impactful.

The Raven at the end is Beatrice, she belongs to Jericho Swain. Swain is the self claimed ruler of Noxus and is half demon called Raum ^^ League of Legends gets a Noxus themed map next season so the next serie is about Noxus.
JINX IS ALIVE. She was on that ship at the end. In season 1 Powder said she would ride on one of those as well. The writers even said they want to use her again.
I love episode 7 cause I thought it would be the usual trope of one side seeing "the good" in Hextech while the other was shown "The bad", but if you think about it: Ekko was shown the good in a world _devoid_ of Hextech, while Jayce was shown the despair in a world _devoured_ by it. Both worlds had the same bottom line: It's better without Hextech. Also Singed just getting away with everything after having caused literally every problem in the series, having everyone who even knows about him end up dead ('cept Caitlyn) and, as if it wasn't enough, EVEN GETTIN HIS DAUGHTER BACK. My guy legitimally came, saw, and conquered. Bro just won.
The thumbnail is beautiful 😍. Tbh even tho this season had flaws( the pacing and the way the side characters were handled) I still loved it and cried so much. There were hints that jinx is alive and they are: cait looking at the air ducts , powder in the first episode said she always wanted to ride a blimp, and half second frame of the explosion you see a pink line connected to the air ducts.
Re.Jinx, that was my reaction as well. We tranistion from Jinx's peaceful face as she falls to younger Vander looking over young Vi and Jinx as they sleep together; sisters. And then....he blows the candoout the andle as Jinx detonates the bomb. "Deat is like sleeping".

What's crazy is that despite the fact that Singed brought torture, crime, devastation, war and the literal end of the world, he still got off scot free AND got what he wanted.
My biggest gripe with season 2 is how rushed everything felt. So many things should have been fleshed out more. But it's still incredibly animated and has so much amazing stuff.
Maybe but maybe not. I think the ending in general was the worst aspect of it all, both in terms of the pacing and storywise. Jinx's character deserved a much better and worthy and non-ambiguous conclusion.
@@glossixe8138 Honestly, I'm not a storyteller, but even I was able to come up with a better ending for Jinx. I wrote it down after watching episode 9 and when I showed it to my friend he said "damn, why couldn't the writers do that instead? It would've made me cry so hard!"

I loved seeing the alternate timeline world and while I feel like it could have been executed better I still enjoyed Viktor finding Glorious Evolution even if the conclusion was a bit fumbled. Also episode seven Jayce was playing Getting Over It the whole episode and not much else.

Personally season 2 was a mixed bag for me and on rewatch I noticed its flaws even more lol. Biggest issue is the pacing, they use montages a *lot* to glean over story arcs that would’ve been nice to see or straight up just cut out scenes and it feels almost like a supercut of the actual story. I get a season 3 would’ve cost tons to make but that’s the price of being so ambitious I guess. Overall I still very much enjoy the show but here’s hoping they can improve with future series

Ha, he thinks Victor, Jace and Jinx died. You know that with shows like these if you don't see them actually dead, then they probably aren't actually. Did Victor and Jace teleport somewhere? Who was in the airship? Did Warwick just fall down the shaft after the explosion?
I've said it before on many other reactions to this series finale already, but Viktor and Jayce's story in this is one of the best things about Arcane, and their final scene is such a tearjerker. I know there are the ships and such, but I've always personally viewed the Jayce and Viktor relationship as a friendship, and one of the strongest that most want. One where it feels as though it was meant to be, and always will be, regardless of the struggles within it. Where you could have such a bond with another person that no matter the pain either of you go through, inflicted by each other's mistakes or otherwise, you both come out the other side as friends. It's now one of my favorite lines in media in recent years: "In all timelines, in all possibilities, only you can show me this."
I love this show but it really feels like larger story was cramped in this 9 episodes. It's still great quality but 9 episode is not enough for this show. "Your Hextech (Arcane) projects need more time" as Himerdinger said

I love episode 7 cause I thought it would be the usual trope of one side seeing "the good" in Hextech while the other was shown "The bad", but if you think about it: Ekko was shown the good in a world _devoid_ of Hextech, while Jayce was shown the despair in a world _devoured_ by it.
Both worlds had the same bottom line: It's better without Hextech.
Also Singed just getting away with everything after having caused literally every problem in the series, having everyone who even knows about him end up dead ('cept Caitlyn) and, as if it wasn't enough, EVEN GETTIN HIS DAUGHTER BACK. My guy legitimally came, saw, and conquered. Bro just won.

The thumbnail is beautiful 😍. Tbh even tho this season had flaws( the pacing and the way the side characters were handled) I still loved it and cried so much. There were hints that jinx is alive and they are: cait looking at the air ducts , powder in the first episode said she always wanted to ride a blimp, and half second frame of the explosion you see a pink line connected to the air ducts.

We tranistion from Jinx's peaceful face as she falls to younger Vander looking over young Vi and Jinx as they sleep together; sisters. And then....he blows the candoout the andle as Jinx detonates the bomb. "Deat is like sleeping".

My biggest gripe with season 2 is how rushed everything felt. So many things should have been fleshed out more. But it's still incredibly animated and has so much amazing stuff.
Maybe but maybe not. I think the ending in general was the worst aspect of it all, both in terms of the pacing and storywise. Jinx's character deserved a much better and worthy and non-ambiguous conclusion.

@@glossixe8138 Honestly, I'm not a storyteller, but even I was able to come up with a better ending for Jinx. I wrote it down after watching episode 9 and when I showed it to my friend he said "damn, why couldn't the writers do that instead? It would've made me cry so hard!"

I loved seeing the alternate timeline world and while I feel like it could have been executed better I still enjoyed Viktor finding Glorious Evolution even if the conclusion was a bit fumbled. Also episode seven Jayce was playing Getting Over It the whole episode and not much else.

If they had 1 more episode it could have been on the same masterpiece level of season 1
Personally season 2 was a mixed bag for me and on rewatch I noticed its flaws even more lol. Biggest issue is the pacing, they use montages a *lot* to glean over story arcs that would’ve been nice to see or straight up just cut out scenes and it feels almost like a supercut of the actual story. I get a season 3 would’ve cost tons to make but that’s the price of being so ambitious I guess. Overall I still very much enjoy the show but here’s hoping they can improve with future series

There is actually a lot of evidence that supports jinx is alive I’m gonna explain it but it very much apparent and there a lot of people who explain it so if she is indeed on that ship at the end I hope her and Ekko and reunite if he goes to look for her when they find out she’s alive

You know that with shows like these if you don't see them actually dead, then they probably aren't actually.
Did Victor and Jace teleport somewhere? Who was in the airship? Did Warwick just fall down the shaft after the explosion?
I've said it before on many other reactions to this series finale already, but Viktor and Jayce's story in this is one of the best things about Arcane, and their final scene is such a tearjerker. I know there are the ships and such, but I've always personally viewed the Jayce and Viktor relationship as a friendship, and one of the strongest that most want. One where it feels as though it was meant to be, and always will be, regardless of the struggles within it. Where you could have such a bond with another person that no matter the pain either of you go through, inflicted by each other's mistakes or otherwise, you both come out the other side as friends. It's now one of my favorite lines in media in recent years:
"In all timelines, in all possibilities, only you can show me this."
