This song was written in 1965 by Paul Simon. It was then a folk song meant to be a warning about the lack of communication between people in the modern society. The version of Disturbed is the anger created because we didn't listen.
He has the voice that can change attitudes, it's a God given Gift That Is rare , almost Anyone can sing , but it takes special songs and or singers to touch the Soul The way David does
The Biggest problem as of late , is what was supposed to bring people together have torn Us Apart . Phones , computers , laptops even tv's were supposed to be good , but when all We do is stare into these devices We become separated
This is entirely incorrect. Trent Reznor commented, when he heard the remake of "Hurt" by Johnny Cash, "I wasn't prepared for what I saw, and it really wasn't my song anymore". What Paul Simon ACTUALLY said was "In case you missed it, Disturbed did a wonderful rendition of "The Sound of Silence" on Conan this week. The S&G cover..." He also emailed David Draiman and said "Really powerful performance on Conan the other day. First time I’d seen you do it live. Nice, Thanks.” These comments get conflated all the time, with people posting this inaccurate information over and over and over. I would love it if people would do some cursory fact checking.
Whether Simon actually that or not, it totally is. I can’t even listen to Simon & Garfunkel’s version anymore. Their upbeat tempo royally irks my nerves. Pentatonix does a great cover of Disturbed’s version of the song, but for me… From now on, Disturbed singing Sound of Silence will always be ACE!!!
@@terraphon Your wish of people doing the right thing will sadly never happen...we don't heed warnings or go out of our way to do what's right ... it's too much work.
I've listened to this song with Simon & Garfunkel hundreds of times but it's only in this cover that I heard the words. An amazing statement about the importance of democracy!
BS @ democracy. It's about how people walk thru life without connecting with one another on a human emotional level and fail to communicate, celebrate and connect with one another. Do try to ruin it with wokeness for f sake. Mark
I normally detest covers of classics, but this one brings me to tears EVERY time I hear it. Simon and Garfunkel's original is great (albeit more upbeat) but this version...is a masterpiece. David Draiman did a remarkable job. Paul Simon was so impressed he told David it's his, now. What a compliment from the original!
Disturbed is a metal band, formed in 1994, with 8 albums so far. If you want to hear one of their originals, which obviously will be much heavier than this, try 'Down With the Sickness' for an older song, 'Hey You' for a new one.
Hi Debbie! This is truly an amazing version but to me the live one sounds even better! And there's yet another live version with Myles Kennedy with some incredible harmonies -that'll introduce you to Myles which, along with his band Alter Bridge, is another rabbit hole that's totally worth checking out.
Disturbed usually does much heavier songs, but David has such a beautiful voice they can't help but do these beautiful ones now and then. I highly suggest The Light and Hold on to Memories for more of his beautiful voice. David Draiman was trained as a Jewish Cantor, which taught him much of the skills he possesses in his vocal ability. Absolutely one of the best voices in music over the past three decades!
Wow I'm loving this reaction. It was so much like mine. I can still envision his gaze looking straight into my soul, the voice penetrating into the core of me. So stupefied, numb, and in tears afterwards. This is the best cover I've heard in my life. Incredible, rich, powerful and velvet male voice. Simply divine. I was familiar with the group and knew some of their songs, but here David Draiman showed the true beauty of his voice, its true power to shake people's souls to the core. What a gift from God.
It was written around the time of the Vietnam War and President Kennedy was assassinated. It was a warning and no one listened until now. David Draimans version makes you feel the words. Makes you sit up and listen. Sad thing is, it could have been written today with everything still going on in the world. Please have a look at the live version on the Conan show but please note he was very ill with Flu and he had to sit down in case he fell down. He refused to cancel the show. Live is amazing too. Hi from Scotland 🏴 Sorry, just saw you have seen the live version. 👍
Hello Debbie, Simon and Garfunkel's version is a lighthearted warning. Disturb's version is the result of not listening to that warning!!! Disturb "the light" is another great song as is "A reason to fight"
This is truly just a magnificent song written by Paul Simon, one of the best ever. Disturbed; telling us the time is HERE, change now.....intense.. This version is just stunning!!!
This is beautiful and introduced me to Disturbed. Dave's voice is amazing. Funny story: while watching everyting of Disturbed on RUclips, YT kept recommending Dimash to me. And someday I gave in and down the rabbit hole I went.
I am fortunate enough to have been a fan of Disturbed from day 1 with Down With The Sickness. Their albums just get better and better as they get older and more mature in their music.
Disturbed has other beautiful songs but when they go hard, they go hard. Just be prepared. David Draiman is probably best known for his singing with distortion in his voice like towards the end of this song. It often surprises people how beautiful his normal voice is and even more shocking when he drops down lower in his register to sing those deeper fuller notes like at the beginning. He has a 4.1 octave range but generally is using +/- 2 octaves for his performance of their songs.
Well, my deleted comment went sorta like this: When I first heard this cover of Sound Of Silence, I said "Now THIS is how this song should have been sung in the first place. Simon & Garfunkel's version was just too "happy" sounding for the subject matter." I was blown away by how much more emotional this version of the song is compared to the original. Another song where the cover version is way better than the original is Johnny Cash's cover of Nine Inch Nails song Hurt. This is a MUST hear...can I get a "Hell yeah!" from the rest of subscribers if they think so too? Here is a link to that song: ruclips.net/video/8AHCfZTRGiI/видео.html. Cheers!
I disagree. Simon and Garfunkel's version is different that's all and clearly how Paul Simon intended the song to be. However Disturbed's version is also really good but for different reasons.
This is truly one of those songs that everyone remembers hearing for the first time. I remember feeling a little uneasy to begin with and that ended with a feeling of triumphant bliss. David Draiman is the real deal. It was awesome to be with you when you first saw it, Debbi, thanks for bringing us along.
I love Simon and Garfunkles version, as I remember when I first heard them sing it in the 60s. I was a little girl with older brother who listened to alot of diff kinds of music then. But I LOVE this version due to intensity. Bless you girl!
I have listened to Disturbs version if this classic song from the 60's literally 100's of times, and it still reaches into my soul and forces me to look at who I am. Full body chills every time! David's voice is one of a kind.
When Simon and Garfunkel wrote this song it was a warning. A warning to what was coming with technology and the pace of the world. Disturbed's version is a we told you so. Paul Simon heard Disturbed play this song on Conan and commented it was no longer Simon and Garfunkel's. He said this it was now David Draimen and Disturbed's song. David is classically trained as a Cantor and he's very talented. Welcome to Disturbed and the Sickness.
And we all have to Acknowledge Paul Simon and Arte Garfunkle for writing the song. Of course, Dave and his group modified the arrangement and did a masterful job, as I believe this was the way this song was Meant to be played. Dave has the perfect voice for this song and the appearance on Conan was his crowning achievement, even though he was not 100%.
I prefer the Conan version, partly because watching his eye and hand movements and general body language is almost hypnotic. Such economy of movement and so expressive at the same time.
Many thanks to Simon & Garfunkel, they have a huge catalogue of work and have influenced MANY current artists.....thanks to them for writing and recording this classic first over 50 years ago, warning us to not turn our backs on the world and it's willingness to embrace "SILENCE"........they made it possible for Disturbed, Pentatonix and others to re-interpret this great piece of music......
Please do Hold Onto Memories by Disturbed. My 12 year old grandson died on January 24th and this song has helped me get through just moments at a time. But this song Hold Onto Memories is for anyone whose lost someone they love ❤
You finally got here... A heavy metal band that catches EVERYONE by surprise, then elevates and owns a song (this song) 50+ years after it was written!! Anyone who hasn't been blown away by this isn't really listening! No matter what genre you like, this is superbly done and flawless! The best cover/song/video these past 7 years! DISTURBED ~ WOW!! Are you ready? Disturbed - Sound Of Silence (live) = ruclips.net/video/Bk7RVw3I8eg/видео.html
I have spent hours watching vocal coach and teachers reacting to this song because I need to know that the best of the best know just as I do that this is truly amazing!!
I'm normally not a fan of covers but this one I love. I've been listening to disturbed since I was young. They are normally a lot heavier and not a lot of people know this but the lead singer David Draiman is operatically trained. Pretty cool for a guy in a heavy metal band
This is David Draimen and classically trained plus he is the most diverse singer. It is a cover from the Simon and Garfunkel song. David Draimen is amazing. Love Disturbed.
David Draiman's got a once in a generation voice and the training to use it properly. I've always likened his voice to a Lamborghini V12 engine (I'm a bit of a car nut... :P). Smooth and throaty at low revs, it rises to a powerful growl when you hit the throttle, and when you really step on it it roars like some mythical creature from the dawn of time. He's just so powerful and controlled, it's amazing to listen to and you should definitely check out some more, but be fair warned: Sound of Silence is an outlier in their repertoire. It is about as far from their normal sound as you can get and still be the same band, but the rest of their stuff is excellent as well, just a lot more hard core. They do make a point of including a cover song of something thematically important to the concept of each album, and this one was written in the mid 60s by the phenomenal Simon and Garfunkel, but they really put their own unique stamp on it and made it their own. One of the things you will find if you explore Disturbed, is they do NOT shy away from difficult topics or dark subject matter. They actually focus a lot on mental health and dealing with trauma or abuse, but more in a mindset of surviving and recovering from these things, and even when they visit really dark topics, they touch on it in a generally positive manner that manages to be uplifting and inspiring. One of my personal favorites is The Light. Great song about dealing with dark times in your life.
@@dalehammers4425 oh, agreed. Just pointing out that their bread & butter is hard rock/nu metal. Some of their best songs are on the lighter side, but my favorites tend to be more hard-driving. :)
Hi Debbie, glad you sorta "rushed" to Disturbed after doing the Henk Poort version. David Draiman has such a unique voice. Sometimes clear, sometimes with a lot of grit, but always unbelievably intense. You gotta check out Disturbed's original songs. Let's start for example with "The Light". More on the heavy rock side compared to Sound of Silence, but with great melody and a really touching video. I bet you'll like that very much... Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/_LypjOTTH6E/видео.html Love from Germany, Wolfgang
Sound of Silence was written by Paul Simon and performed by Simon and Garfunkle way back in 1964. Disturbed's version is my favorite. I heard Henk's version and it seemed he only copied, or tried to copy, this version. Now, listen to the whole song without pausing it! Just you, head phones and this song
David comes from an orthodox Jewish background and trained as a Hazzan, or Cantor, who leads a congregation in songful prayer. He's had his demons. Battled, and won, against heroin use. When he was aged 16 his then girlfriend who introduced him to heroin killed herself. He himself very nearly died aged 18 due to the heroin use, and that experience helped him to get off of the drug. He went cold turkey and kicked it. With that in mind Disturbed's music is heavily influenced by these experiences. The girlfriend's suicide influenced their song "Inside the Fire". The video to which is very disturbing. Expect some hard hitting lyrics and visuals when you listen to their original work. Which is also very heavy. They did this song as they often do a cover when they release an album. They've done a very good cover of Genesis' "Land of Confusion". But as you've seen, one of their most popular songs is "Down With the Sickness". Be careful, the full version is not for the faint hearted.
That was quick !!! Btw. the same song (the Conan-show version) I sent you a wrong link. This link must be ruclips.net/video/Bk7RVw3I8eg/видео.html&ab_channel=TeamCoco Btw. If you like a really deep (sexy) male voice, you have to watch HOME FREE (a pentatonix like group (a capella) with a cover of a Dire Straits song *_"Brothers In Arms"_* : ruclips.net/video/_ChD2WjD2tY/видео.html&ab_channel=HomeFree (don't melt behind the camera 😉) Just another HOLY COW-moment.
Hi, it's Michael from Australia. I told friends many years ago about David's cover above and they could not believe that a Metal band could make the song so more beautiful .
What sets this apart from the Conan version, is the video portion increases the emotional impact of the song's message, plus this was a healthy David doing the singing.
I have heard many versions of this song including recently on your channel Henk's version. I have to say Disturb's version is the best, hands down. It's haunting and beautiful. He sings it with such a passion that you feel down to your core. Fantastic version. I enjoy how mind opening all of these bands are to you in your reactions. I felt much the same when I first discovered these different bands. It's amazing how much tremendous talent is out there. And some of it we don't get to experience here in the states for the most part like the European symphonic metal bands. Bring on some " Beyond the Black".
You like deep voices? Then you definitely should listen to Rammstein! 🙂 Engel: ruclips.net/video/eSaa3vC_n2k/видео.html Ohne Dich: ruclips.net/video/L6aQ_myOryY/видео.html Or this cover version of "Seemann" by Nina Hagen: ruclips.net/video/g-h67MBJry4/видео.html
One of the things said about this version of the song is that Paul Simon had stated that for years, he and Art Garfunkel essentially owned this song.. And he is right, because whenever anyone mentioned The Sound of Silence, they thought of their original recording. But Paul said himself that this version from Disturbed is so beautiful and haunting that it breathed a totally different life into it, and that he and Art no longer "own" this song. This song is Disturbed's now, just because of how beautifully haunting it sounds, and that this is how it should be. One thing that Disturbed has done (at least as far as I can tell going back to their first album) is that they include at least one cover song on their album. They so far have done Genesis, Sting, Tears for Fears, Simon and Garfunkel, among others. But this is the song that Floor was talking about on Beste Zangers that Henk sang for her; plus Henk learned how to sing with distortion in his voice for her, so he could sound like David Draiman in this version.
I loved the original song in the 60’s but I always thought that it was too light and the lyrics hinted that it needed to be darker. I was a musician for 48 years , but, when I heard this version I had the same reaction as you did. Luv ya !
They did a more recent cover, 'If I Ever Loose My Faith In You' that is worth checking out. I don't know if 'Down With The Sickness' (the tune they are famous for) would be your jam. While it's done very well, it's about some heavy stuff. If you do that one, stick to the official music video as it's based on the radio edit and has one intense part cut out.
The original was written and performed by Simon and Garfunkel in the sixties. This is an amazing arrangement and performance by Disturbed. I must say though, I am disappointed with all of the pauses. It's unlike you to pause that many times and I think it would have made an even bigger impact if you had paused alot less. I'm not trying to sound mean and I apologize if it comes across that way. I just felt it needed to be said. Thank you. I do enjoy your reactions.
You are my new favorite person!!! I just heard this yesterday and I had every reaction you did!! HOW DID I NOT HAVE THIS SONG IN MY LIFE FOR 9 YEARS!!!!
This is on my play list. So relevant for the chaos of today. Don't be silent people. Speak your truths or Communism will take your words forever. Have courage.
Disturbed is on tour later this year. Going to see them in July in Phoenix (and there's not a lot I'd go to Phoenix in July to see...outdoor venue, too).
David has a beautiful voice. Some of Disturb's is not as sensitive. I think you would enjoy their softer stuff: Hold On To Memories, A Reason To Fight. A lot of their other stuff is much heavier.
when the original version was written and preformed in the sixties, this was a warning of what could happen if people didnt talk to each other ..this version is him saying you didint listen and now it has come to pass " people talking but not speaking .people hearing with out listening " sounds a lot like our txting culture " silence like a cancer grows " when people are called this and that because you dont agree with them ,leads to people not speaking out about things they think are wrong. "praying to the neon god they made" sounds like todays celebrity adoration thats seems prevalent. so he has all the right to shout at people for not listening to the original all thosse years ago ..... this always chokes me up as soemone who was around with the original and it makes me sad to see where the world has gone
Your reactions kill me. It looks like your beautiful blue eyes are about to pop out of your head 😁 In my opinion, this is so much better than the original.
It was comical to watch the qweens reaction to this song..I love David Draimans voice ,he could sing the phone book, etc and I'd listen to him.He is absolutely phenomenal..
Pretty sure someone would have already mentioned in the comments somewhere but David started out as a fully trained opera singer and the went into the crossover type scene before Disturbed.
David Draiman was not trained operatically. He was a trained Jewish Cantor at a young age, like his father and grandfather before him. He honors his family by not having any tattoos. He was having some vocal issues 2012? He took time off to learn how to protect his vocal chords with some vocal training then.
I just found you and you are amazing. Thank you. I love seeing people “FEEL” The Music!!! One of my hobbies is watching review videos over and over of the same song to all the different expressions of reactors. You immediately jumping when his voice started told me I was gonna love your reaction. I’ve seen people left speechless, people moved to tears, people saying he stared straight into her soul. There’s also a version live on Conan where David had like a 102 temp that night but the blue backing lights adds to the Epicness of their version. Two songs that give me goosebumps every single time I hear them are cover songs and that is this and Johnny Cash Hurt (a Nine Inch Nails song). I’d love to see Disturbed remake Bridge Over Troubled Water. I think that would be awesome. Thank you pretty lady. Your eyes are as stunning as this cover. Looking forward to seeing more of your reviews. And Holy Crap On A Cracker!!!! LMAO. About spit my pizza rolls out
That is the amazing David Draiman. He was trained at an early age as a cantor in the jewish religion, but chose to dedicate his life to heavy metal rock with his band 'Disturbed' (thank God). Another fantastic cover they did was 'Land of Confusion' the old Genesis track but delivered with real GUTS 😁 Hope you can check that one out too one day, you'll love it I'm sure.
And as GOOD as this is he did it even better on SNL and was SICK. HE WAS SICK & THE PERFORMANCE WAS SICK! He might have hurt his voice but the raspy growl factor was an 11! 😮
David doesn't usually sing this type of music. He's metal. Please consider this song - Beth & Joe - I'd Rather Go Blind- Live in Amsterdam. It's a cover of an Etta James song. I really believe you'll enjoy it. You're doing great Debbie! Keep up the great work. Thanks -Vickie
There is a video where he and band are being interviewed one of the original writers can’t remember if it was Simon Or Garfunkal that acknowledged them and approved their cover. He was trained as a cantor lost his girlfriend sad story a little foggy now as watched over a year ago. I think most of their music is heavy rock.
Love this version so much better than Simon and Garfunkel's.....OMG, and not for nothin', but our sweet Tommy Johansson does this cover too.....his version is very close to this one and it's also awesome !!
Paul Simon from Simon & Garfunkle wrote this song sitting in a dark bathroom in the 60s. My #2 fav cover. 😃 #1 is High Hopes (Pink Floyd song) by Nightwish - Marko is lead singer. #3 Zombie (Cranberries song) by Bad Wolves.
I just heard Paul Simon in an interview talk about how he wrote this song sitting alone in a dark room and how in the middle of the night notes would run through his brain.
How are your eyeballs so absolutely, purely white? That's a lot of eyedrops! I love your analysis. I've heard this song a hundred times (several versions) - it makes me cry every time. I always love seeing people get to experience it for the first, second, or twentieth time. It's just heartwrenching. Thank you for your reaction, and I look forward to seeing more of them. :)

David Michael Draiman to be exact.
And when God asked him if he wanted a voice of an Angel or a Devil, he replied “Yes”.
This was the last song I shared with my Brother as he was dying from cancer, that was 7 years ago and I cry every time I hear this

I'm so sorry for your loss. That's heartbreaking. May his soul rest in peace.
So sorry for your loss.

Wow, that's quite a compliment! It was... insanely fantastic!
This is entirely incorrect.

Exactly 💯
Yeah, I love the build at the end and was sad to see it got completely cut off in the reaction.

20+ years of listening to metal music and Disturbed is by far one of the best to hear live!
It didn't have you smiling at the end, but it had you feeling. That's art. :)

Hey Debbie, that's David Draiman. His voice is exceptionally powerful yet smooth.
I adore both the original and this one. The original was resigned sadness, this one was anger and it's glorious
Righteous anger!

I concur
You finally got here... A heavy metal band that catches EVERYONE by surprise, then elevates and owns a song (this song) 50+ years after it was written!! Anyone who hasn't been blown away by this isn't really listening! No matter what genre you like, this is superbly done and flawless! The best cover/song/video these past 7 years! DISTURBED ~ WOW!!
Are you ready? Disturbed - Sound Of Silence (live) = ruclips.net/video/Bk7RVw3I8eg/видео.html
loved your expression when he first sang... lol. not a dry seat in the house...
btw - song is from 1964 - Simon & Garfunkle....
He is classically trained. He knows how to control his voice
Another amazing Disturbd song is The Light. The message in it is very powerful
I concur
Can I second that with Who Taught You How To Hate?
100% agree.
The Light got me through my recovery from Guillain-Barre Syndrome.Super fucking touching.
You can keep your fancy opera singers....give me velvet voiced David Draiman every time.
I believe that their song "The Light" would be right up your alley. The video is powerful and emotional. Check it out!!
I Concur
A Reason to Fight is another awesome one by them.
Not all of their music is hard. Hold on to the Memories, The light, Reason to fight and several others arent remotely hard.
@@dalehammers4425 oh, agreed. Just pointing out that their bread & butter is hard rock/nu metal. Some of their best songs are on the lighter side, but my favorites tend to be more hard-driving. :)
Listen to their live version of Hold on to Memories. They are a band that reaches in and takes control of your soul.
I saved it. Thank you 💙
David Draimens performance demands that you listen to each and every word of this song, and you do.
Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/_LypjOTTH6E/видео.html
Love from Germany, Wolfgang
I saved it ❤️
@@thequestionqueens Disturbed has been cranking out masterclass music for 20 years now. Hard to go wrong with their catalogue.
This is the Best Cover Ever... Phenomenal voice...he was classically trained as a cantor...but sings heavy metal now.... Amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I listened again after I did the video, twice actually. I probably could’ve recorded it two more times.
He's a classically trained metal vocalist. And they are awesome.
That was quick !!!
Btw. the same song (the Conan-show version) I sent you a wrong link. This link must be ruclips.net/video/Bk7RVw3I8eg/видео.html&ab_channel=TeamCoco
Btw.
When I was in high school in the late 60's, early 70's many teachers taught these lyrics as poetry.
Paul Simon himself agrees with you, after he saw the live version on Conan he literally gave this song to Davis saying it was now his.
Wait....Henk?Henk Poort?Henk Poort covered this?!
For 15+ years;.
Disturbed has been part of my life
Love him singing this song excellent thanks for your reaction Have good evening 💋✨🫶✨
💙
You like deep voices? Then you definitely should listen to Rammstein! 🙂

Du Hast, live at Paris.
Luv ya !
This song Will never be looked at the same after hearing their version.., one of my favorites..
♥️
They also did another great cover by Tears for fears-shout and Genesis- Land of confusion
You are my new favorite person!!! I just heard this yesterday and I had every reaction you did!! HOW DID I NOT HAVE THIS SONG IN MY LIFE FOR 9 YEARS!!!!
Great reaction! React to their official video, “The Light”…awesome song and great message!
I Concur
This is a very powerful version of the song, but it was the original version came out in 1964 & was performed by the duo Simon & Garfunkel.
Wow, it’s going to be hot in more ways than one
Great reaction, I propose you continue your Disturbed journey with Disturbed - Down With The Sickness one of my favorites of theirs.
Saved it. Thank you 💙
David has a beautiful voice. Some of Disturb's is not as sensitive. I think you would enjoy their softer stuff: Hold On To Memories, A Reason To Fight. A lot of their other stuff is much heavier.
I was a teenager when this song came out, believe me it didn't sound like this. Great reaction, enjoyed it
Not too bad for a metal band, eh? David has one of the most powerful voices in rock/metal today.
You definitly need to hear Simon and Garfunkle's version. Paul Simon wrote it and they released it in the Sixties.
when the original version was written and preformed in the sixties, this was a warning of what could happen if people didnt talk to each other ..this version is him saying you didint listen and now it has come to pass " people talking but not speaking .people hearing with out listening " sounds a lot like our txting culture " silence like a cancer grows " when people are called this and that because you dont agree with them ,leads to people not speaking out about things they think are wrong. "praying to the neon god they made" sounds like todays celebrity adoration thats seems prevalent. so he has all the right to shout at people for not listening to the original all thosse years ago ..... this always chokes me up as soemone who was around with the original and it makes me sad to see where the world has gone
Pandoras box is opened.......STRICKEN.....INVINCIBLE...SO MANY SONGS.
If you’re gonna go Disturbed just go all in. It’s heavier but it’s good.
Paul Simon wrote the song, but he said Disturbed OWNED this song.
Your reactions kill me. It looks like your beautiful blue eyes are about to pop out of your head 😁 In my opinion, this is so much better than the original.
😂😂🥰🥰💙💙
I'm 63. so I know of the original. I agree with you that this is a lot better! first time watching her. She does have Beautiful Blue eyes!
100 % in agreement with you, this cover just blew me clean away. perfect voice, perfect music ,perfect video
Disturbed has an awesome song... Hold on to the memories....a must listen to
It was comical to watch the qweens reaction to this song..I love David Draimans voice ,he could sing the phone book, etc and I'd listen to him.He is absolutely phenomenal..
Who's smile? Disturbed so next level, life changing
!! Great job
And so versatile. You have this, then the maniacal Down With the Sickness, then the uplifting The Light. Really like Disturbed.
I love getting in my car, cranking it up and listening to this song. So good. I think you'll like Pentatonix version as well. 💕
Omg I just recorded it! Wow
He was sick for the performance on Conan.
😊100% agree Beth hart’s voice and one of the best guitar solos ever from joe bonamassa is incredible . Give it a listen, luv ya.
I love this band.
Late again as usual, but please Debbie, react to all these beautiful artists !, they ALL are extremely talented !!!
Love this version so much better than Simon and Garfunkel's.....OMG, and not for nothin', but our sweet Tommy Johansson does this cover too.....his version is very close to this one and it's also awesome !!
If you want a Disturbed song like this check out "The Light".
To hear his lovely voice again check out Hold On To Memories but you'll need some tissues
Take notice that they rescued the instruments, and delivered them across the waters to those that held the lyrics.
His voice is amazing
Paul Simon from Simon & Garfunkle wrote this song sitting in a dark bathroom in the 60s.
My #2 fav cover. 😃
#1 is High Hopes (Pink Floyd song) by Nightwish - Marko is lead singer.
#3 Zombie (Cranberries song) by Bad Wolves.
I didn’t mention this but the only song I know it heard of my Pink Floyd is the wall
I just heard Paul Simon in an interview talk about how he wrote this song sitting alone in a dark room and how in the middle of the night notes would run through his brain.
You should listen to The Sickness. You'll see what this band really is all about. It's one of the older songs they wrote.
What about "Down with the sickness" by Disturbed?
ruclips.net/video/09LTT0xwdfw/видео.html
I saw them live in Oslo, Norway before influensa.
Amazing
Saved it!
As a polar opposite.... Disturbed- Down With The Sickness
