EXCITED! Hey Chris I love your genuine enthusiasm for R&M bikes. Keep that excitement going, it’s really infectious (a good infectious!)... hell, your enthusiasm got me in no small way to get a couple of R&Ms this season... I’m sure many around the globe did too. Test rode the Nevo, was super impressed by the solid smooth ride. Felt really safe and comfortable.
Nevo 3. Really accomplished design. Love that upper chainstay and belt guard. Dual battery on the rack is sweet... gives the bike great lines. And such a high spec of stuff overall. Has to be THE sturdy step-through hardtail eBike. It feels like one bike that is right in the middle of all the “needs” you could ask for: a real allrounder easy-to-live-with car replacement. 10/10 video Team Propel 👍

Great bike, just bought one absolutely amazing, I live in Switzerland so plenty of steep roads, but no problem, also good on gravel paths. Really enjoying life, didn’t get out much before too old for a bike without a motor, now I’m out and about and it helps with my balance problems. It’s expensive but worth it, this bike is quality.

Even if you had a bike before (i had a ebike with 8000km on it) moving to a nevo was a big step, I tried my old bike after about 800km on the nevo and was shocked how much i prefer the nevo.

I ended up buying an E bike from a company that I've bought non e bikes from for a long time, but, Nothing beats how beautiful those R&M bikes are. I drool over all of them. Also, your videos have basically hooked me on E bikes, I'm a huge advocate now.

Great video as always. I cannot tell you how valuable I found your videos in learning about ebikes and researching them. However, I do have a major problem with this one. I ordered a Nevo3 from you at the end of May. I had no problem waiting two months to get the bike I wanted exactly how I wanted it. Now after watching this video my patience has all of sudden disappeared and I am extremely anxious to get my hands on my Nevo3

My wife and I saw this video today . as always very informative and in detail specifications. , great job Chris . She loves to have a white one for Christmas . As for me , just received my early Christmas gift , 2020 R&M Super delite Rohloff HS . Awesome machine . Delivered by Chris Nolte !! I was surprised to see Propel founder took some time from his busy schedule and bring my gift to our house in Westwood UCLA . Such a kind , detail oriented and real gentleman indeed ! My experience with Propel organization has been great and very supportive team all along . Chris , when it comes to Ebike , you and your team are contagious . Wish you the best . Dr Nik

"I realize I say excited a lot" 😆. Love it. The "I'm really..." Bit can stay and on every video you can use a different word each time and it can be your signature habit. People will be excited to know what new substitute word you will use on each new video hehe. Another great review. I love hearing about new ebikes. Still not got one yet though

Happy Veterans' Day Chris and thank you for your service! Travelled from Upstate NY to the Brooklyn shop and test rode a couple of bikes with Nora (great ambassador for Propel!). Riding on Brooklyn streets as schools let out was an interesting experience. Ended up really liking the Nevo 3, which I hadn't previously considered. So returned to Upstate on Veterans' Day, plied my wife with wine, and called Nora and ordered the Nevo 3 (in stock). I think it's the right choice for a (semi) spry 77 year old. Whole process went smoothly and Nora was great. Very excited about receiving the bike in a couple of weeks. Might look for a guided NYC bike ride in the Spring. The video tour you did got me very excited.
The only thing I'm pondering is best way to securely lock the bike given the lack of a real frame triangle. Any thoughts?
Keep up the great work with the videos, Chris.
    Bill G.

Hi Chris. I'm 61 inches tall. I'm planning to buy the R & M Nevo 3, but the 43cm frame is limited to 500W battery size and fewer Schwalbe tire options. You're riding the 47cm model in this video. Can I ask how tall are you and do you think that the 47cm is just too big a frame for a 5'1" 120 lbs woman?

Chris, as we know the range depends not only on the assistance level applied, but also on battery temperature. Do you know of any method currently available or in development that will maintain the battery at optimum working temperature (like a heated blanket), especially in the cooler climates?

Thanks for the good and useful review. Question: Is this bike suitable to use as a touring bike with panniers, i.e. is the chain-stay or in this case belt-stay far enough back so that you don't hit the panniers when cycling with the toe end of your feet on the peddles?

    • @jimrichard5535

Yes if you visit the website you will find a chart per bike. Weirdly enough i am missing one model the 47 is 5"4 to 5"9. But there is also a smaller model the 43, here are the sizes in cm ( Nevo GT Framehoogte 43cm (155cm - 170cm) 47cm (165 - 180Cm) 56cm (175 - 195cm) ). The biggest problem is see is maybe adding a different seat post so you can quickly adjust them. Personally my fav now is the vario automatic

On my Packster bought one year ago, tubes were using Presta valves; now all R&M bikes seem to be equiped with Shrader (Auto -> car) valves. Do you know why ?
As it is the case with other bikes delivered during 1st trimester (seen in shop), new version of Cane Creek seatpost is used on this new Nevo 3.
And I must wait at least 3 more weeks to get mine... In dark grey, like the one shown in this video, because terra Grey is no more available... Second "why ?".

Thank you Chris for an always informative video. I ordered the new Nevo 3 GT Vario HS and after some thinking, I decided to go for the GX option. I ride 90% on pavement, so based on your point of view, it not might a good idea to the Razor Rack instead of the Moto X, especially when you mentioned that the Moto X might be more 'puncture-resistant' than the Razor Rack. To be honest, I went for the GX option because the $60 was a good investment for things that are included in the option (e.g. Ergon horn grips, pedal, saddle, in addition to the tire). Two questions for you Chris... 1.) Should I buy the Moto X (or other tire) and 2.) What to do you recommend to decrease a puncture if I stick with the Razor Rack.
Also, Would you mind to update this video and give the review for the Nevo 3 but with the HS version.
    Thanks in advanced!

Beautiful engineering but it's almost too much. My ebike only has a bosch active line+ and a 400watt hour battery but I bet it nearly has the same range and performance because it probably weighs half as much. The bonus being with mine I can easily lift it over fences/gates or throw it in my car.

Compare this bike to a Honda supercub c125, I'd take the supercub any day. The Honda is also nearly 2000.00 less and is probably a much better built machine. Now it's not a apple-to-apple comparison but at this price range, you have to wonder if we should start comparing ebikes to small motorcycles.

I still wonder that the step-through frame is marketed as durable as diamond frames. R-M has identical weight limits. As an obese cyclist I wonder if the security margins are the same or not but they probably don't share this due to liability and strategy reasons.

    • @scb2scb2
      @scb2scb2 Год назад

@@Hollapopp Just to add (2 years later) the weight is not really set by the frame they are all build the same HS or none HS version and if you think about it that means it has it 'easy' on the 25km version. The weight limit is depending on replaceable parts in this case the steering column (in this video already replaced because of the kiox) the saddle tube and the peddles (where you must be able to stand on them with all that weight). Each bike has the weight limit printed on the mid tube and if you select the correct parts for a little more it should state 160km max.

Agree that category shouldn't be called a girl bicycle anymore but step through. Girl bicycle is historic when women didn't or rarely wear a pair of trousers while a diamant steel frame provided more stability for heavier men. Today it depands more on purpose and not by what sex the rider has.

Please don't take this personally but there are 2 things you are overlooking. R&M is a highend bike and as such are less 'value'. Second thing is if you plan to ho 20miles/hour you really should have a bike that can handle it that means suspension, spokes, tires and most important breaks. The amount of 20miles or 28miles speed monsters without breaks to match it is just crazy and a danger. Also if you think a upgraded donor bike can match or in your worlds be a better bike is silly you clearly have never been on a R&M bike... Now does that mean these bikes are for everybody nope but having these in the market for people who want them and enjoy them is fine. For me its way cheaper than a car and quicker and give me more joy.
