Good presentation but to all the buyers out there take it from someone who owns a Reese and Mueller Nevo 3 GT Vario HS class 3 e-bike these are definitely top quality e-bikes and like the Rolls-Royce of e-bikes with Great components and reliability but they are not e-bikes where you can just hit top speeds without putting some real effort into it,You're going to have to work hard for those top speeds and unfortunately with most videos you will think that you'll get the bike and it'll be a piece of cake to ride in top speeds so it's something to consider when purchasing Riese & Muller e-bike and if you want something that takes way less effort with hitting those higher speeds then definitely look into getting another high-end e-bike from a company named Stromer if you want top speeds with very little effort but if you want a bike that you need to work for those speeds and you want the best of the best top quality components then stick with the Riese & Mueller which are again the Rolls-Royce of e-bikes but do not think that you're going to be a non-athletic person and jump on these bikes and be able to hit top speeds like a piece of cake with no ease and not sweating because that is far from the truth you will put work when riding these e-bikes so to all buyers that's something that you should definitely look into and know exactly what you need from a e-bike and I hope this helped out because it was something that I needed to hear before I made my purchase because you always want to have the most honest opinion so hopefully this helped and I think people will always appreciate honest opinions and take care.

The Riese & Müller bikes use a Bosch motor which, in its UK legal version will assist you up to 15mph, beyond this you are on your own. You mention the Bosch HS version and Stromer bikes. Both will assist you to higher speeds but they are not classified as a legal ebike in the UK and you will need to get them registered, insured, taxed and wear a motorcycle helmet to ride them on the road. They are also not allowed on cycle paths and bridleways, so unless you have a private estate you are riding around, I would suggest you avoid purchasing them. If you really need speed and don't want to make much effort, a motorbike or scooter could be a better alternative ;)

Interesting to know that there is a UK spec on the position of the brake levers. I've switched over all my US bikes to have the front brake on the RH side like all my MC's and Scooters. Just makes sense, but millions of people never ride MC's so it's not the standard. Is it possible to get the "UK spec" on bikes sent to the US???

Thank you for the amazing review! May I ask which motor/spec do you recommend for hilly steep hill riding? The area where I live is filled with them.

The Nevo3 only comes with the Bosch performance CX motor. For really big hills I would recommend combining this with the Touring or Rohloff spec :)

Does anyone know where can we buy the replacement of the mudguards for nevo? I searched the whole Internet. No luck so far.

Your R&M dealer will be able to order them for you. Alternatively, they are probably made by SKS. :)

Could these be fitted with the new Bosch Smart system?

The Nevo is not currently available with the Bosch Smart System. I’m sure it will come with time, but R&M have decided not to use it on this bike for now.

Also in many ways the old kiox is a better system than the new one. They kind of downgraded many of its functions and made it feel cheaper. I think the idea is that it will be the default over time and the nyon the highend.
