    I really want the Estarli E28, but I'm a 5ft shortarse. My shortness limited my options when buying my scooter too (ended up with a low spec Niu MQi coz it was the only model I could ride safely).
    Smaller options almost always mean lower spec. No fair.

    Hey Eilis, I bought the Temple e bike you tested from Temple Brick Lane, it's fab! Thanks for adding the extra tip to the stand btw. I live in Norfolk and in October I'll be cycling there a lot so I'll send my review after then. Thanks for your great work for female cyclists, looking forward to more updates.

    The Tern GSD is the same length as most standard hybrid bikes if you measure them including the wheel length - the 20" wheels make a big difference!
    Let's just say I love my Tern, but would definitely suggest looking at the GSD S10, which is spectacularly low maintenance and a lot less expensive!

    I am of average height but am heavy and was unable to fit on three ebikes. They had only 18 to 19 inches of space between the center of the handlebar to the tip of the seat. My regular pedal bike had 21 inches.

    Hey. That leather Brooks seat... Is it possible that that's the exact seat (or a reasonable facsimile thereof) that I had in 1972? WOW!!! It still looks the same over 50 years later.

    Interesting that this channel always ignores Vanmoof

    • @Victor-kh5rh
      @Victor-kh5rh 2 года назад +1

      Va moof has awesome design, but the front wheel drive and price to performance pretty bad, especially in the US. For a few hundred more you can get a proper Bosch mid drive, for a thousand less you can get a rear hub that will still outperform the Vanmoofs front hub drive. If you want a better featured bike with similar design look at Cowboy, still not great value but better than Vanmoof.

    • @Electroheads
      @Electroheads  2 года назад +3

      We don't ignore them! For the cost of their bikes, their Trust Pilot rating is quite low and we've had feedback from audience members that they've had issues, so we don't feel comfortable recommending them. Hopefully that changes though as they're a fantastic brand.

    • @Tetrapetaloudos1
      @Tetrapetaloudos1 2 года назад

      @@Electroheads i take the point on reliability but can the Mate, Mycle and Desiknio be that much more reliable for you to test them but never feature a Vanmoof? Especially for how common they are on the roads now i bet they far outsell anything else. On that point it would be good to know sale figures per brand in the UK albeit probably a hard task to find reliable data

    Why are we gendering e-bikes now? The average folding bike is designed to suit nearly everyone, so that's a non-issue. The only time you need to consider "bikes for women" (sizes/geometry/equipment) is for long-distance/high-intensity sport (I have mechanicked for several women's road & mtn race teams, so know a bit about this) where bike fit is important, and highly personal, and arrived at after hours of riding and setup. The average urban commuter/leisure ride, of all genders, is fully catered for by most quality makers, and apart from handlebars the right width, and saddles the right shape, you don't really have to worry that the e-bike you buy will fit you (given the right size frame is chosen) if you're a girl/wommin/laydee. Mudguards or panniers are a personal choice, for m or f riders.

      Because women have different tastes and there's nothing wrong with catering to that. My partners bike is pink, Dutch style and as girly as it comes. She's going to listen to the opinions of another woman far more than she will take my advice.
