Honestly the pizza tower formula would be perfect for a sonic game.
Exploring levels at top speed, saving captured animals, then escaping from eggman as he pursues you with a death ray.

I like how the rankings reward you based on points and collectables as well as maintaining a combo instead of relying on time we see in most games.
Also, keep up the good work on the Super Mario Bros Z reboot Mark! I had fun watching all the original episodes when it was on Newgrounds and excited to see the Koopa Bros fight in the reboot! No need to rush!

Kinda reminded me the ranking in Sonic Unleashed 😂
You have just crossed the lap 2 portal, the P pops up in the left corner of your screen, and there are only 30 seconds left 'till Pizza Face wakes up.
You try to go as fast as you can to complete the level, but it's futile, showtime has already begun.
Pizza Face starts chasing you and your adrenaline levels shots up by 7000%. This is no longer a race for the P rank, but also for survival.
Just as you think he's about to get you and make you lose all that hard work, you barely dodge him and enter the exit.
While trying to calm down from all of the adrenaline, this music starts playing, saying "you did it, you were Perfect on that level".
That's what P ranks are all about.
