The character Ross is so underrated. Chandler got humors, Joey play dumb at times, but Ross is master at expressions!

Accept Christ as your Lord and Savior;
Receive the Holy Spirit, be born again by the True living God;
And live everyday with Him, obey Him, pray and be Holy like Him.
God has made us in His image. A spirit, the Holy Spirit, a soul, the Glory if God, a body, Jesus Christ.
This is the Good news of salvation, not by our action, but by grace we are saved

Joey's character wasn't the brightest...but I truly believe his character has the most emotional intelligence...most evidence of him being the best "friend"

Yes you're right. Even though he dated many women. The ladies all knew how he was and still picked Joey. He didn't lie or manipulate them. Besides the comment was examining him as a friend. He's still upfront here. And we can't forget that Ross was into Joey's gf Charlie on their paleontologist conference. Didn't Ross kiss her?

Joey actually showed most emotion in this scene. More than Rachel who showed a very 'effort full' panic reaction but Joey was naturally sympathetic and apologetic. And Ross actually emoted more without words than with. You can almost hear the words in his amazing expressions and eye movements.

I relate to Ross so much in this scene. When he said ''Cause really,... I'm fine!", it hit home so much because it has happened to me as well. Brilliant performance by David Schimmer, the expressions, the changes in his voice, the way he showed his pain... truly amazing.

They are all perfect but i have to say that Ross may be the best.

I actually felt bad for Ross.The look on his face. He actually felt betrayed and hurt because Joey is his friend and he has been in love with Rachel ever seen he was a teen. So it obviously was hard for him to take. Can’t blame him. It’s because it was Joey and Rachel. If it was Rachel with a random guy obviously he wouldn’t react this way. Like put urself in Ross’s place, it for sure sucks
Yeah I hate Ross's character but it's logical he would feel upset or angry even. Just human emotions.
When the first time Ross saw them kissing, it was almost as if his world he knew was collapsing. His heart was ripped into pieces. He probably had no right to feel that way about her, since at that time he was dating another woman, but Rachel wasn’t just another ex of his. She was his first love too and more importantly,she was the mother of their daughter. So, when he saw her kiss Joey, he immediately knew that was it for them. There was no chance for him to reunite with Rachel ever again and the revelation alone was far more shocking than the kiss he had just witnessed.
It hurt him to the point it was hard for him to breath and to think straight.
It was like he was being hit by a ton of bricks. He was literally suffocating.
True he didnt expect it at this point but he was aware of Joeys feelings for Rachel tbh
He literally dated her sister. She's just dating his friend. Gotta hurt ik but still better than dating an ex's sibling
The thing is Ross seems to act as though he has a certain ownership or claim to Rachel because he's like her since they were teenagers. But Rachel is her own person who can be with whoever she wants. Multiple times they haven't been together in ages, or even at the start of the show they were only friends, but he acted as though he had some right to her that let him try and sabotage or gatekeep her from being with other men. While he's allowed to be hurt, he knew Joey liked Rachel at this point and they're both single for a good while.

Everyone is saying what a great actor David is but I personally think all three actors killed it in this scene. Joey trying to calmly handle the situation while Rachel is losing it. The way his voice cracks when he told her to chill. The way Ross's walking toward them makes them back up in fear.

Notice, that at the end of this episode, The One When Ross is Fine - Ross actually came to terms with Joey and Rachel's relationship, and gave Joey his blessings! Ross had a heart of gold! Yet despite having Ross' blessing and a free road to whatever they wanted, Joey and Rachel's nonsense ended just in the next episode when they couldn't even consume their 'relationship' and have sex even once, because Rachel was totally repulsed by Joey's touch and kept hitting him, and they realized they were always just friends nothing more. This nonsesne Joey-Rachel thing was the most hollow, stupidest thing ever and the only thing this storyline accomplished was destroying Joey's character. The real Joey, from earlier seasons, would NEVER do that to Ross! And even Matt Le Blanc thought so, that's why Matt and Jen both hated this storyline!!

Agree with so many of the comments above. The changes to the characters was inevitable because of how hard it is to be funny for 10 years. Joey was terrible to Ross when Rachel gave birth. The whole Hugsy thing was crazy. Ross and Rachel were both diminished at times to keep them separated til the end. Having said that all ten seasons featured episodes that were off the chart funny and fun to watch. The one with the video tape in season 8 was fabulous and demonstrates the writers were able find gold at any time. Ross and Rachel singing to Emma was a classic. The list never stops. The cast was fantastic as was the show even if we fans did not like all the story lines. By the way loved Rachel getting off plane while many did not.
I love when Ross is trying to be honest with his emotions. His voice gets higher & higher to manic mode.. 💖🤣🤣

A few years ago I read many articles and many people saying ross is worst character on the show, I was surprised and confused by that because he was my favorite. He made me laugh the hardest during the show.
Now seeing the comments I feel great that other people are also realizing how good he was.
I like that the paradigm is shifting towards Rachel being the worst, because she truly is.
