- Alright folks, it's been a while since we took a look at the politics of EVE Online, so this time we're going to catch you up across the entire map all at once! This should also serve as a handhold for people who are completely new to the scene and want to try and understand a little bit more about the wars you could be getting involved in.

I've already tried playing Eve and it's just entirely too much for me to deal with but I still find it super fascinating.
I just returned and it's like dropping off a cliff into hell trying to figure everything out again
As a relatively recent player, I've found it easiest to break it into pieces and set a goal that'll take you a month or two to reach. Like for me, that'd be getting enough of an industrial base to manufacture my own cruiser hulls, or getting into an advanced ship type like a stealth bomber and tool around with it for a bit. It's impossible for someone to do everything the game has to offer on their own and still have any sort of life in the real world. The best approach is to find a niche you enjoy filling and then find a corp that's looking for what you have to offer. For some folks it's running pve stuff, for some it's trying to influence market dynamics. For me it's wormholes and fleet support. But whatever you decide to specialize in, there's going to be someone out there who's looking to buy what you've got to sell, and that's the beauty of the game.

@@bryantwitchell3442 I'm not a people person, and prefer to fly solo. I've also been away from the game for a few years, and won't be returning to it before 2023.
I've never even tried playing Eve. But, I stumbled across a few videos detailing some of the various conflicts which have broken out over the years. All the factions, the sparks that set off wars, unexpected outcomes, the rise and fall of coalitions... Yeah. It's fascinating.

Probably never mentioned cause we didn't get in big fights, but i'll leave it here anyway.
"Attaque Le Tracteur" alliance in Cache was just 3 players (I'm one of them) who took 7 sovereignty right in the center of the area (including the moons from 4S0 to W4) early January and survived the bullying from Unreal Alliance, PanFam and the betrayal from Blind Obedience + Forceful Ascension... for 3 months. Blind lost their Fortizar in the process and disbanded, and Forceful Ascension got kicked 3 days after our eviction by Nullsechnaya Sholupen, fleeing north to be part of LORDE.
So if you wonder if you can have sovs as a (very) small group? The answer is yes. Can you make money? Some. Will you survive a long time? Probably not :)

My understanding of Pandafam in X-70 is that it's a SIG called the 'Droneland Expeditionary Force', named after the Goonswarm Expeditionary Force which was deployed in Venal earlier this year
alright as a member of panfam I will give you some info, #1 X.I.X is moving into the old darkness space and we are fighting them a lot, not a full scale war but 4-5 fleets a week to go on the offensive there. #2 we are for the most part pulling out of pure blind for a while, we will redeploy at some point but we need to find a way to win fights, we would have won in x70 if the goons did not drop supers. We have supers near there but if we drop supers the goons will drop x2 as many so super fleets are out of the picture, dread fights are fun and we kill a lot but we dont win/ dont get any of the half trill isk dropped the goons get it, and after they loot the battle field they end up almost isk positive. we are deciding how to win fights so that we can get the loot and surviving caps out. keep in mind that we lost most of our dreads that we deployed over there so we have to reship more out there to fight again. anyway nice vid

A few precisions regarding the RekkingCrew / ProviBloc members:
-- There's a relatively new alliance that has become an important part of PB : Total Eclipse. Escape Velocity or In Da Ouarp are also worth mentioning.
-- Plus, as always in Provi, there's a myriad of local NRDS residents, but they hardly ever take part in sov warfare, only occasional pocket defense.
-- RC has been joined by a few alliances from Domain lowsec : WRATH, Deep Space Alliance, Hardly Competent
-- Siege Green & Dock Workers no longer help RC, as far as I know.
-- "Inconspicous Sovholding Alliance", like "Didn't want that sov anyway" is just one of those alliances RC uses to abuse the "capital system" mechanic. "The Rogue Mercenaries" almost falls in that same category.

As a sidenote the FAM regions taken by Deepwater Hooligans were not strategic systems and as such weren't defended as we only took them because they were there for the taking. Dogfort are good guys though. Good enemies too.

I was in Ushra Khan. Have a 2006 toon that fought against BoB and the Amari scum in Providence during the rp agreement days.
Would definitely watch a weekly/monthly news bulletin by in-universe Jin'taan.
Politics, local news, finance/economy, opinion/interview, sports, and weather (war speculation and patch forecasting).
Even though I don't play anymore, I love that this game still has its own news broadcasters that stream current information about what is going on. It's fun to see what's been happening. Makes me wanna go see my killboards again. Whole lotta ships on there. I'll never forget how open the FC's were so open to teaching me the ways of PvP. Because of them I'll never forget this game, and maybe one day I'll reactivate my accounts, and begin running some blops strikes on some unsuspecting Rorquals. I love this game and the community behind it. Never thought I'd help fight in a big freaking Space War in my lifetime xD.

Hey Jin'Tan, what about speaking a little bit of Know-Nothings and what they are doing in the Kinakka system?
I don't know if it is actually relevant enough for the events you usually cover, but still, they made it to the top 5 actives alliances on Z-Killboard, and have made the Black-Rise region and the Kinakka system in particular very active, with fights involving noticeable entities such as Panfam, and some of them reaching about 50 Billions ISK in value, on a quite regular basis this last few weeks ;)
I don't play right now but I always love to keep up with BlocNews. Good stuff
I love those videos. It's incredible how little you are inside that huge game ! Anchoring a Raitaru is the highlight of the week for a group of players and a decimal point in the grand scheme of things !

Great video. As a player who finnaly gets into the intermediate level I'm looking around for a corporation I could utilize my (small) scouting skills for and learn even more. This video showed me what is going on on the higher level that I am familiar with. Great work Jin'taan o7
It's cool to know these things for sure but be careful choosing where you go based off something like this. Not saying anything against this well made, thorough video. Just think that knowing about American foreign policy for example, it's not going to tell you what it's like to live in NYC. In fact, it'll have no valuable info for you at all.
I will give you one piece of advice and it's more for the games health than anything but try to steer clear of the blue blob. You will have perfect safety within Imperium but what's that worth to you in terms of a gaming experience?
All these nullbears say "lowsec is dead" and although there's definitely an argument for that in terms of powerblocks involved there, it's less safe than where all these scrubs live and more interesting as a result.
About Pure-blind madness coalition, you said they are aligned with Pandafam, it's incorrect
FxR is a pet of Initiative they hold a Keepstar who was a staging of Init Supercap fleet during the DeadCo eviction, pretty much the same for Banderlog, UFC is probably the most "independant" of PureBlind even if this region only accept "imperium affiliate" at some point
+for Vale/Panfam coalition, Lord of worlds is a part of Winterco not Panfam
+scalding, Valkyrie Alliance is part of FI.RE not Legacy

Exactly, last year, when Triumvirate tried to gain sov in Pure Blind, Pure Blind Madness got supported by then Imperium Affiliated Snuffed Out and The Initiative. And with the FXR Keepstar still supporting Init I have no reason to suspect this relationship has got worse over time.

I like how you spent more time talking about the super small alliances than you did the entirety of imperium. It’s totally accurate though. If your in imperium, you mine & that’s about it lol
Its been a long long time since i last played this, last time was when i was part of bastion seriously heating up the skirmishes in fountain to pave the way for our invasion and subsequent subjugation of the entire region from delve, i can't remember exactly the overall politics behind it, but i remember the apocalypse being the just outdated doctrine of the imperium. Which means i got a couple free apocalypses, i mean it wasn't really a big deal since i was technically an industrial player not a warfare player despite being part of the skirmishers early on, when the war actually started i was pretty much sidelined from the warfare because i didn't have the skills to pilot any of the doctrine ships at the time so instead of pulling down the statistics i was relegated to do whatever i wanted unless it got so desperate they needed any and all pilots to come. By the time i had the skills to join doctrine fleets i was just a bit too bored of the game and found other passions, but the early skirmishes were amazing.
As head diplomat for Brave, I just wanted to say I would be completely lost without your vids!

As a former denizen of Provi... I can attest that it was and still seems to be a messy little area.
I'm glad to have found your channel as I've gotten back into Eve. I've learned quite a lot. I do have some questions, though most are theoretical (like what would be better counters in each of the main empire lines than the EDENCOM faction ships vs Triglavians), and I suppose more as to where things are presently on the war on a full scale (i've seen some of the imperium propaganda, but I've not heard a lot from my own coalition as far as news goes.)
Lord of worlds alliance is apart of winter co not pan fam.
Dangerous Voltage is not part of FI.RE. I'm part of Razor Alliance (non-russian speaking alliance btw), and for the last time, we've been roaming north (Oasa and VVV), and setting up shop in own space. Also fought off a very short deployment by tri and slyce. Unfortunately cant help you on the deployment part, since im not more than one guy (and that stuff is probably opsec or whatever)

i lived in tenerifis for a while we kicked out an alliance that was linked to test which was right next door. We did great for a long time until we got the attention of test

Ok so... You need to check your facts a bit. Don't worry I'm here to help you. First, LORDE has been a member of Winterco. for years. You even have LORDE in your other videos as a member of Winterco (i.e. war between lorde and brave in scalding pass). Second, FE has only held SOV in Vale since July 2019. I'm pretty sure that's less than two years. Third, one battlereport does not summarize an entire war. For example, you leave out: dead staging fortizars, dead capitals, dead ihubs and tcu's, etc... My best advice to you to not sound like you are intentionally misleading to the people in the know, is to speak to both sides of a conflict. Because as of this moment, you are glossing over the facts or you simply do not research enough. Hope this helps!

regardning provi - COCG is dead. The newcomer in the region is Escape Velocity, a group of returning and new players. Which often do 10-20-30 man fleets them selfs, and working with provibloc, when sov is under attack

So, as a player who is a total noob to EVE Online right now (I just started my account a week ago), what would be some good advice for people like me? I am currently doing more PvE stuff right now in Caldari space, but I hope to move up to PvP because I'd really like to participate in these big world-changing wars going on in the null-sec.

I don't know about all that. They brought nearly all of pandafam, about a 600 man fleet to blow up one Fortizar. In the week or two since they've done nothing but RF some things and blow up an ihub, and it hasn't been for lack of trying.

@@shauncogan8837 That's my point in a way. Lord have been at this for a long time, over multiple attempts. So far they've taken a staging system, and blown up the Y-Z Fort, both times with significant WinterCo backup, if not all of PandaFam in the case of the Y-Z fort. In the day to day warfare, they've been able to accomplish very little lasting damage. They might take a fringe system for a week, or successfully blow up an Ihub, but the damage isn't significant and doesn't last.
If they really step up their deployment somehow, or WinterCo/PandaFam get more seriously involved, then FE might be in serious trouble. However, in just the day to day, Lord of Worlds vs. FE, I think FE will hold okay.

I won't tell you to play or not to play. I quit some time ago. All I can tell you is that it's not for everyone. Only a particular type of person enjoys/sticks with Eve. I certainly wasn't one of them. Once you hit about the month mark playing frequently, you'll know if you like it or not. I played for 2 years, but that little voice in my head was telling me to quit after the first month. I should have listened.
Correction here regarding Goonswarm / The Imperium - the coalition is actually known as "The Erect Ape", headed up by Darwinism.

Quite sad to see the game one step closer to his own death, 3 jaors coalitions, they really succeed into turning the server into serenity 2.0 congrats to the players and to CCP that let it happened
