This was the best "pre-boss" build up. So much fun. And in BotW, opening that temple with Rijua was also my favorite quest. Great job on the Gerudo quests, Nintendo.
Personally I had more fun with the Wind Temple buildup, but maybe just bc I did it first and so it was my first exposure to the story 🤷♂️ Thanks for the support!
@@dyltheisprod Rising island chain is the strongest temple buildup in the game imo, which is why i think they nudge the player towards going there first. Nothing beats the slowly rising tension as you make the climb.
@@dyltheisprodI think the wind temple build up was the most cinematic and emotionally powerful. But the gerudo tower defense was one of the most original thing in the entire Zelda franchise, and I also really loved raising the temple from the sands with the mirrors, it reminded me of Wind Waker and overall of traditional Zelda games where you almost always had to achieve something to unlock the temple. Similarly the Gerudo temple was the most old school of them all with the linear sections (which I adored). Too bad it didn't last for the entire temple but still a great one overall. So in a nutshell : Wind Build up/Temple : Best one Gerudo Build up/Temple : Most traditional-Zelda-like
I hope DLC lets players reactivate the regional quests to play through them again after completion. Or add a wave-based endless horde mode to this segment. Nice way to farm Gibdo Bones, and to see how long the player can last before Riju is dropped by Gibdo.
this whole section terrified me cuz i was scared of the gibdos, and i felt a lot of pressure. the whole preparation part was so nerve-wracking for me. i was only able to get through it cuz my friend was hanging out with me. i did end up losing the first time, which was really stressful. but i felt more prepared on my second run. my friend kept yelling at me to check the minimap cuz i wasn't looking at it. i was stressed out!
I haven't seen anyone make the comment yet that Gerudo Town was kinda dealing with its own zombie apocalypse. The gibdo rising out of the sand to attack the populace, and the fact that the gibdo are undead by nature.
Im not sure if it exists but i cant find it anywhere for the life of me, but its when you finally find riju training with her lightning and a theme plays i couldn't find it anywhere and i was wondering if you will be willing to make it 😭😭
It’s out there! It’s just one file, so there’s nothing for me to make. You can find it online if you search for either “Desert People” (the file name) or “North Gerudo Ruins” (where the song plays). Hope this helped!
@@Pollux127 Of course! In addition to the videos uploaded here, I’ve got all songs (just up to the Crisis at Hyrule Castle quest for now) organized in order of appearance. See the link in my description.
I like the subtle callback to TP's Gerudo Desert theme in this
I appreciate including the Riju under attack section! Since I cleared the hoard so fast she never took damage, didn’t ever truly hear that bit
Bruh for me it played so much I simply thought it was the standard theme for everything past the first hive LMAO
@@Gabo2oo same
Even the official OST didn't include it, thank goodness this video did.
The second this battle started i was immediately transported to AOC. One of the best non boss battles in the game.
best part of the game, it's so hype every time i do it, the worst part is that it is so short

Thanks for uploading this, it was the "lead up boss" theme I noticed the least due to it requiring the most focus.

There was a minimap??? I was too stressed to even notice, gibdos scare the shit out of me even after defeating the queen
Nvm, i remember the minimap, but I have no recall of what it had during this fight
I don't see anyone else in this game fight with two swords.
Sidon fought with two spears in aoc
@@Whyyoubullyingme But that's beside the point because it's in a different game. To be fair, I haven't seen anyone else do that either.
This is the best music in the game. İncredible beautiful music.

Ganondorf: "Gibdos Gerudo to me lmao"
lol
Ah yes the three Gs
Ganondorf
Gerudo
Gibdos
I wish I could have just the prepare for battle theme on its own.
