  • Here's an eleven minute view of my experience in Korea. Not much narration on this video until the second half. It's in sequential order except for the first clip. The hotel clip after I missed my flight is my favorite, because it's the most memorable.
    1. The UN Joint Security Area that straddles the border. Half of this conference building is in North Korea.
    2. Dongdaemun
    3. Namsan Tower & cable car. Nice view, but the video only captures a small part of this huge city.
4 One row of many in the Noryangjin Fish Market. I wish we had a fresh fish market the size of two Walmarts in Charlotte.
    5. Walking the labyrinth of "streets" around my hotel.
    6. Cheonggyecheon is a 5.8-km greenway trail cutting through the center of Seoul.
    7. The area around Jongno 3, at the entrance to the subway station closest to my hotel and home base.
    8. A walk through Korean side streets through my eyes.
    9. The Joint Security Area (JSA) is the only portion of the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) where US, & South and North Korean forces stand face-to-face.
    10. I'm a magnet for protests and demonstrations. At least the riot police ddn't try to take my camera like in Greece.
    11. Gwangjang Market
    12. On the edge of Itaewon.
    13. Seoul subway
    14. My comments in the hotel after I missed my flight. IN retrospect, I should have put this first, because it's the most interesting stuff.
15 Incheon Airport is amazing! I spent a lot of time there and enjoyed every minute of it. An airport with a shopping mall, live performances, ice skating rink, and client service? I've never seen an airport this incredible in North America. In 2012 it was ranked the best airport in the world by Skytrax. It's amazing.
I learned a lot about myself and Korea during my visit and met some awesome people. Korea wins the friendliest people award on this trip. I love Korea and will forever treasure my experiences there.
