Hey man. This is interesting and would like to also do the same on an 8 cylinder engine. What I have done is design a custom ECU that I could define all parameters like ignition angle, ignition advance, sequential and multiport fuel injection in the program. It doesn't have maps as I took a different route on how I programmed it. Please check the latest video I have uploaded for progress.
Well, to begin with, I studied how a normal ECU works. From that knowledge, I designed my own ECU using normally available MCUs, arduino Mega which I then upgraded to arduino due. I also designed the drivers that control the various actuators like injectors and then programmed the MCU based on what I desired the engine to perform. It uses a number of sensors like MAP, throttle position and engine crank position in order to calculate the amount of fuel to inject and at what time. In my latest video, the engine no longer uses the distributor for sparks but rather now has coil over plugs. More updates coming soon!!
@@PeterMbiria1 well... basically you used continuous injection method?...so how did you match oxygen sensor and map sensor to calibarate air fuel ratio?...did you use PID?
@@garage9732 At the moment, I am yet to incorporate Oxygen sensor so what I'm relying on is throttle position, engine temperature and MAP sensor inputs to calculate the amount of fuel to inject at any cylinder, realtime.
Hey Peter, Lovely video. I have a 190E here in Melbourne. I bought the car as is and haven’t started it yet. I suspect it has similar issues as yours but would love to link up. (I’m a Kenyan living in Australia). Are u on Instagram or fb? Please let me know. Cheers bro
You did great job man
Can u post a more detailed vedio about the instalation
Well done excellent professional work. I have the plan for M117 engine to convert from CFI to EFI.
How I solve ignition and ECU

You are the real guy
Big up yourself, awesome Bro
Hai want to do same experiment at my workshop but how do I acquire the VOLTARENT ECU?
Hi Peter. Kindly what's the cost of conversion from M102 2.3L FD to EFI? And how do we proceed?
Hey Joel, thank you for reaching out. For M102, the cost is 1120 USD at the moment (150K kshs). You get the full conversion with genuine parts.
Congratulations
Hello i'm in senegal can i contact you for my engine?
Thanks
You are a genius!
Thanks.
Great Job 👌🏻👍🏻
What is needed what ecu are you using and the fuel rail what kind please inform
I have built the ECU from scratch. I have designed the schematic design of it and also the program running in it.
brooooooooooooo this is too neat
Wait till you see version 2.
Hello, do not be bored, please, if possible, the map of Mercedes w124 230e m102 I need this very much, thank you
Hey man. Have you watched the latest engine progress?

That's a link to my channel where you'll see all the progress done.
@@PeterMbiria1 Thank you, I will watch your videos. But I really need a wiring diagram. I can't find a Mercedes diagram.
How much does it cost
@@peterodhiambo-d3p For the full conversion kit, it's $1160
Hi there I really want to contact u regarding the efi system.
Hey Vishnu, can we link up on LinkedIn?

duuudeee....you did a awesome job...can you explain how did you make the ecu please?

did you build your own controller? or are you using megasquirt?
I built mine from scratch
Salam can you show the diagram
My 102 engine is burning black, high fuel consumption.
Hey man, thanks for reaching out. What's the set-up, FD or carb?

How much change over

It is my own ECU, it is called voltarent ECU.
