      Brandon Scott didn’t do shit, As soon as Ivan Bates took office, crime dipped for the rest of the year. It’s only because of election time, Scott wants to take all the credit. He doesn’t care about us, bates does.

      @@javionriley8739The both of you guys are brain dead, Scott has been in office for almost 5 years, no change from him. Before Bates and Barron stepped in 2023, there has been no change in homicides and those stupid programs that Scott made had no impact. It was after Barron and Bates stepped in, homicides went down significantly.

    Neither is responsible for crime reduction. It’s a trend that’s taking place nationwide. The most likely explanation for the reduction in crime is that there have been shifts in the temperament and mentality of young people. People are more into online worlds than real life, and with people interacting less in person and spending less time in the streets, crime is likely to go down. These are just possible explanations but they’re more plausible than saying that it’s because of the attorney general or the mayor’s program.

      The homicide rate for 2023 was at a 9 years low. That right there is saving lives in Baltimore.

      @javionriley8739 16 дней назад

      You’re right, but also the mayor program specifically is actually working along with the majority black political delegation that now controls Maryland!! I’ve seen it in real life and yes, there’s been a generational shift via black American millennial/gen-Z when it comes to doing crime ! We see crime as degenerate! To the point where you don’t have rappers even talking about it any more, most rappers talk about investing in property/saving money/generation wealth/being political etc

      Many other cities like DC are having upticks in crime overall do to their incompetent mayor. I think the crime reduction revolves around Bates and Barron due to their tough prosecution policies.
