- Baltimore County (WBFF) - The body-worn camera footage from the fatal police pursuit that occurred on April 8, in Windsor Mill was released Thursday.
The person who died was previously identified as 37-year-old Dimeka Thornton of Windsor Mill, Maryland.

People are probably saying that bcuz of the fact that the reason they put in those laws to stay back on a chase and let them get away is bcuz of fetalities and other serious injuries that happen bcuz the cops were chasing him so thats why he drove the way he did. Just like earlier when they stayed back bcuz of speed and traffic conditions that second time out GOING DOWN THE FREEWAY THE WRONG WAY they also should
Have stayed back bcuz as long as he didnt see lights behind him he MIGHT NOT HAVE KILLED ANYONE. Thats a big MIGHT but I think thats why.
Because pursuits encourage suspects to make extremely risky decisions in an attempt to escape police. With the amount of tech and tracking at cop's disposal in the modern world, there's no reason to have pursuits at all.
All of those police who risked their lives like that are true hero’s. You could hear the desperation in all of their voices trying everything they had within them to save that woman’s life. Unbelievable amount of courage in every single one of them. Even with the amount of smoke.

I'm a retired truck driver and have seen something very similar to this a couple of times. It's senseless. There's an epidemic of human gene pool contaminates in this country.

That was really hard to watch! Poor Dimeka. Dimeka Sierra Shannon Thornton was a beautiful young lady. She was only 37 years old. She had a degree in psychology and hoped to become a family counselor. She was very active in her church. A friend said that when she asked Dimeka “how can I pray for you?” Her answer was always to pray for her family, especially her Mother and siblings. Her first thought was always of others. She was not yet married. She didn’t get the chance to start a family. The world lost a very beautiful soul.
Watching this scene, it broke my heart to realize, her family has no idea what horror is about to strike them. The wrong person survived.
The murderers first words were “I need to get my money!” I hope they never let him out.
RIP to the family who lost their loved one while this kid still breaths air, his mama will say he is a good boy whom never hurt anyone. What a tragedy

In Australia the cops will back off if a driver acts irrationally they call in the police helicopter and track them from the air.. Cops on the ground will be told where they are headed and intercept them
The frequency of vehicular flight here is much higher, you’d need many helicopters. Also, there is more weather here that inhibits helicopters. Rain and snow.

The officers that got him out of the car treated him with more empathy and kindness that he ever deserved. The entire video just shows the bravery, dedication and tolerance these LE’s possess. They’re to be commended.
I hope TG Ms Thornton was unconscious through it all. My thoughts go out to her loved ones.
This is heartbreaking to watch. You can hear the pain and sorrow is those officers voices. I can’t imagine the trauma this would leave someone with. I hope they have time and support to heal. My heart goes out to the victim and her loved ones. What a tragic loss.

😏 The other sad part to this is that Maryland's prosecutors and judges are horrible when it comes to prosecuting and holding these repeat offenders accountable for their crimes and putting the criminals away for an extended period of time!
It's not just in Maryland, here in Michigan, the "justice" system is a joke🤬 A POS drug addict broke into an elder Man's house down the street. The elder Man shot the Addict in the legs, for fear of his & wife's safety. The addict did no jail time & sued the elderly Couple. The cops actually took the elderly Man to jail & he's doing 2-5 years in Prison. I just don't understand this world anymore.

And that's the reason I didn't become a police officer. Grew up around a lot of State Troopers - good people. But my Dad told me that a Trooper is usually the first person at every fatal car accident on the highway... and I thought "PASS." Also knew an officer that killed himself in his cruiser in the park near my house - he was a friend of my Dad's. You GOTTA respect someone who signs up for that job. And if you don't - _what did you do???_
So much trauma/loss from that one accident... and they happen every day. Peace to the courageous officers.
Trust me they love the action. I'm a firefighter in one of the largest departments in America and I have colleagues who drive 3 hours each way just to work where the action is. They could easily get jobs in their communities and chill at the station playing Xbox but they want to work fires, shootings and major mvc's every shift.
They live with those images everyday of their lives. No wonder the suicide rate is so high.
He drove wrong way down the road and he chose to make that decision. The officers didn't follow him down the wrong way which is very lucky. He made a bad decision that night.

I have no sympathy for the criminals they chose the path to walk and that was the wrong one, so there’s no need to drag any officers over the coals for their stupidity, they did nothing wrong. We have started getting over here in Britain where some teenagers chose to run from the police and got killed and people were looking to blame them for pursuing them and to appease the community. The officers had actually stopped chasing them before they crashed but the news people chose to vilify the cops.
Same with a Met Firearms officer being charged with murder, they have a car flagged as in an armed robbery when it’s stopped the person inside obviously must have been moving around and he was shot dead with one bullet. Our armed police are highly trained and train constantly and only pull the trigger when deemed necessary, yet this officer was charged because the person he shot was black , and then loads of our firearms officers turned in their guns threatening to stop carrying them. Some have still not gone back to carry guns until it’s resolved and if they do carry on with the case many officers will hand the guns back in again.
I can see the American police going on strike the way it’s going with charging officers who have done nothing wrong, look at the NY Subway armed soldiers patrolling

They make a lot of money off the videos off of their monotonized channel on RUclips. Then they claim that the video isn't real so that RUclips will leave it up but it is real.

Assuming the LinkedIn page google popped up for her... Apparently a honest and hardworking woman, in a public transportation job. Front line support for a lot of people everyday. Probably just a normal evening for her... coming home from the stress of work... Random Guy with stolen car drives in front of her... running from police... colliding...and crushing her in her own car... that eventually bursts into flames... while desperate Police & Fire Dept. try to save her life...
The world is a little worse off because of the actions of this criminal. Less my eyes deceive me in this low quality video... you can even see money on the floor of the stolen car? How... incredibly transparent the few moments we see the criminal in the car... Like something out of a movie... pitiful... Tragic. I hope the Justice system does its job properly.... and let God sort the rest.
