I just purchased an Asus ProArt 4070 Ti Super and an AMD Ryzen 9 9950x for my first high end PC. I don't plan on doing too much gaming, but it's nice to have the option, so I went with the increased raw power the higher core count provides, which will be very helpful for slicing 3D models. I really wanted to wait for the 9950x3D because that 2nd gen 3D Vcache would be extremely helpful, but I needed to purchase my parts before the end of the year, so the higher core count of the 9950x is much more useful than the 3d Vcache of the 9800X3D in this scenario. As for the 4070 Ti Super, it's basically the best GPU you can get for under $1000 right now and will serve my purposes well enough. Just thinking about how much more powerful this thing is compared to the 2060 MaxQ in my laptop, it isn't even close😂
If you want to just play Fortnite, r6 and cod at 1080p and want constant 240fps what cpu and gpu should you get? Nvidia gpu because amd is bad on Fortnite
Look at some benchmarks here on RUclips. Just search for the game and different hardware combinations. I think you'll be surprised how well the lower - mid range configurations perform
@@MrAnimescrazy 4070 Ti Super or 5070 when it comes out in March. I want a 9800x3d, but I have read online that you should only get the 9800x3d with a 4090.
@djgilby8904 you can buy a 9800x3d with any gpu but with the lower end gpu's you may be bottlenecked but a 4070 ti super or a 5070 should be good. The 9800x3d is way over the msrp price so if you are willing to pay then get it but if it is too much then you can get the 7800x3d.
Prices right now are slightly higher as people are planning for increase due to tariffs, Christmas time, and the release of 5000 series cards. Just my speculation.
The 4060 isn't a bad card for 1080p when viewed in isolation. It has a bad price; with just 8GB of VRAM, it should sell for ~$50 less. For just $11 more, you can still buy an RX 6750XT that smokes the 4060 in raw performance and has 50% more VRAM, making it a 1440p card.
One important thing didn’t mentioned in video is Ray Tracing gaming which really only Nvidia card does it well. With RT in Blacksmith WuKong is another level of experience
Absolutely! Nvidia nailed it with ray tracing. I stick with AMD because I play COD BO6, but if you're a Twitch streamer and play a variety of games, Nvidia is a no-brainer.
He did mention ray tracing. That being said unless you’re using a 4080 super the performance hit isn’t worth it. Right now budget is Intel (most likely), AMD mid range, and only go Nvidia if you’re a mega whale and NEED the 5090 or 5080
hey geekawhat, i was just quite confused because in the video the 7800 xt+9600x was performing worse than the previous 7700xt and 7600x. Bug? eithar way great vid
If you need a gpu right now. I'd get something for less than 100$, and in a couple of months, you can buy a next-gen card. It looks like Nvidia will dominate high-end, AMD will dominate mid-range, Intel is aiming for budget builders, but if they do good enough, I bet AMD will have some interesting price cuts to keep their market share.
I have 3x 7800x3D’s all paired with midranged GPU’s like 6950xt,6900xt,6800xt. 5x 7700x/7600x/7600 with midranged GPU’s like 6800xt,6750xt,6700xt,6600xt, a single 5700x3D with a 3060ti. I don’t mind lowering my in game shadows, details to raise my fps. I hate dipping 1% lows so I don’t skimp on the cpu. And because my board, ram and cpu prices are cheap to upgrade after selling off my good AM4 combos. GPU’s can be a bit pricey so I upgrade when there is good enough deals like a 6800xt Merc for $300 and sold off a 6600XT for $150.
hey geekawhat, was watching the vid when i noticed that the 7800 xt combo was performing worse than the 7700 xt one... mistake? either way great vid nevermind, it was in 1440p, not 1080p

Lost me right off the bat. Recommendeding the 4060 8gig card is laughable. Especially when you can save $50-60 and gonwith the RX 7600 8gig for the same FPS or better in some cases ir spend an extra 50-60 (depending on sales) on the RX 7700 XT. Currently $100-150 more could get you an RX 7800 XT honestly...
You're falling right into the upsell tactics these companies want you to fall for. Just spend a bit more and look how much more you can get! Before you know it you've doubled your budget... 4060 is enough for a surprisingly large amount of people. 7600 is a decent choice too but if you want the Nvidia feature set then 4060 is great
@justmatt2655 , not really falling for it at all. Basic logic this gen for GPUs is anything at or under $500 AMD will offer the better price to performance and above that it depends on your wants. As for the Nvidea feature set, at the 4060 level, well, most of it isn't even a consideration. RT at the 4060 level shouldn't even be considered, and upscaling at 1080p or even at the 4060/7600 is questionable at best, depending on the title.
@@jallop7918 for raw performance yeah you're right. When i said feature set I wasn't just talking about gaming. Nvidia is still much better for most workloads and even recording/streaming. AMD does now have the AV1 codec so i will give them that but they are still behind
Have you tried using your brain when creating your videos? 9800x3d - only for FHD monitors 480-540 Hz, for eSports games, and take a video card no higher than 4070/7800xt, because the settings are usually set to minimum. For a 4K monitor, no one with an IQ higher than 60 will take 9800x3d. In 4K, the video card will limit the fps in absolutely all games. The higher the resolution, the weaker the processor should be. I myself use 4K resolution in conjunction with 7500F + 4090, in all games I have a limitation on the video card. I will say even more, I very often have to turn on DLSS quality (the real resolution is ~1440p), and sometimes Fake (frame) Generation to get a playable fps of 100+. 99.9999% of new games are GPU requirements. NEVER, remember NEVER! Don't buy an expensive processor for a high resolution. 9800x3d + 4090 for 4k is the most disgusting choice!
Theres this crazy concept where people dont play last of us and other vram hoggers and they dont play on max settings with rt, whereBY 8 gigs is enough. And this other concept where people dont go on the "what my fav youtubers trash talked"

just bought a sapphire pure rx 7800 xt (the white one) for £460 and im waiting for christmas and january sales again so i can buy the rest of the build. i was worried that the prices might go down or something soon ish after the new gpu releases but hopefully it wasnt too much of a bad decision buying it now instead of a few months later but the 7800 xt seems great for that price compared to others now anyways
My combi is Ryzen 7 9700x with Radeon 7800XT
14600kf + 7800xt 🔥
you think i should pair a r7 9800x3d and a 8800xt when the gpu comes out?
If you want to just play Fortnite, r6 and cod at 1080p and want constant 240fps what cpu and gpu should you get? Nvidia gpu because amd is bad on Fortnite
Look at some benchmarks here on RUclips. Just search for the game and different hardware combinations. I think you'll be surprised how well the lower - mid range configurations perform
Amd isn't bad on fortbite you just need to tamper with ur settings
@Iblueda1234 Fortnite doesn’t work well on performance mode with amd gpus tho everyone says you get stutters
@@Zempxt then don't use performance mode but go on direct x12 and reduce graphics
I'm on AM4...No reason to switch to AM5 .
@@xboxgamer7453 im rocking am4 too it goes hard still
I'm looking at pairing up a new
Ryzen 5 9600x
With an
Rx 7800xt
Do I just hold on the 7800xt and wait for what we get in the 8000 series? 😂😭
Rx 6800 is currently a great deal, being lower than most 7700xt’s and performing about the same with the comfort of 16 gb of vram
What Nvidia gpu would you pair with a Ryzen 7 5700X3D for 1440p gaming?
I wouldn’t other than the high end 4070ti super and up you can get better performance for less $
4070 super
What is your gpu budget?
@@MrAnimescrazy 4070 Ti Super or 5070 when it comes out in March. I want a 9800x3d, but I have read online that you should only get the 9800x3d with a 4090.
@djgilby8904 you can buy a 9800x3d with any gpu but with the lower end gpu's you may be bottlenecked but a 4070 ti super or a 5070 should be good. The 9800x3d is way over the msrp price so if you are willing to pay then get it but if it is too much then you can get the 7800x3d.
Heavy taxes in my country and 4060 is still the best value because it costs same as RX 7600 here, even less in some stores
Prices right now are slightly higher as people are planning for increase due to tariffs, Christmas time, and the release of 5000 series cards. Just my speculation.
can i pair core i5 12400f with rtx 4070s and 32gb ddr4 ram for 1440p gaming
The 4060 isn't a bad card for 1080p when viewed in isolation. It has a bad price; with just 8GB of VRAM, it should sell for ~$50 less. For just $11 more, you can still buy an RX 6750XT that smokes the 4060 in raw performance and has 50% more VRAM, making it a 1440p card.
I got the 4060. The AMD cards are like unicorns here. I have never seen one in human
Still enjoying my i5 10400f and my 2060
Best combo for 1080p: ryzen 7 9800x3d + rtx 4090.
Best combo for 1440p: ryzen 7 9800x3d + rtx 4090.
Best combo for 4k: ryzen 7 9800x3d + rtx 4090
One important thing didn’t mentioned in video is Ray Tracing gaming which really only Nvidia card does it well. With RT in Blacksmith WuKong is another level of experience
Absolutely! Nvidia nailed it with ray tracing. I stick with AMD because I play COD BO6, but if you're a Twitch streamer and play a variety of games, Nvidia is a no-brainer.
RT is a scam on anything below a 4080 super even on Nvidia cards.
He did mention ray tracing. That being said unless you’re using a 4080 super the performance hit isn’t worth it. Right now budget is Intel (most likely), AMD mid range, and only go Nvidia if you’re a mega whale and NEED the 5090 or 5080
@@Zer0Hour17I've seen it run pretty well on the 4070 ti super and even the 4070 super
@@Zer0Hour17"I agree... You clearly know what you're talking about. I've been saying the same thing.
i have a r5 3600 with a 7800xt, i am bottlenecking the gpu too much? for 1080p
hey geekawhat, i was just quite confused because in the video the 7800 xt+9600x was performing worse than the previous 7700xt and 7600x. Bug? eithar way great vid
Where was this? The 7800xt is leagues ahead of the 7700xt and 9600x and 7600x should be basically the same
Keep going
I have a 9800X3D an an AsRock Rx 7900 XTX
If you need a gpu right now. I'd get something for less than 100$, and in a couple of months, you can buy a next-gen card.
It looks like
Nvidia will dominate high-end,
AMD will dominate mid-range,
Intel is aiming for budget builders, but if they do good enough, I bet AMD will have some interesting price cuts to keep their market share.
I have r7 7700x whit rx7900gre 32gb ddr5 ram 6000mhz cl30 and play a lot of games in high or epic settings at 1440p and i love this combo❤
getting a 4070 super with I5-14600kf, thoughts?
Get an AMD CPUs like 7600 X3D
I have 3x 7800x3D’s all paired with midranged GPU’s like 6950xt,6900xt,6800xt. 5x 7700x/7600x/7600 with midranged GPU’s like 6800xt,6750xt,6700xt,6600xt, a single 5700x3D with a 3060ti.
I don’t mind lowering my in game shadows, details to raise my fps. I hate dipping 1% lows so I don’t skimp on the cpu. And because my board, ram and cpu prices are cheap to upgrade after selling off my good AM4 combos. GPU’s can be a bit pricey so I upgrade when there is good enough deals like a 6800xt Merc for $300 and sold off a 6600XT for $150.
in what world is a 7800XT medium for 1440p?
best cpu combo for 4070 super
Depends on your budget.
Shoul we wait for gennuary to build up a new pc?
No
hey geekawhat, was watching the vid when i noticed that the 7800 xt combo was performing worse than the 7700 xt one... mistake?
either way great vid
nevermind, it was in 1440p, not 1080p
I own an i5-12400. Would a 7800xt work well for 1440p
yes
7800X3D + 7900XT

i am planning on upgrading my pc to rtx4070tisuper and 7800x3d
but now i am thinking of 4070 ti super with either 7700x or 9700x
The 7700x or the 9700x is good.
is 9800x3d better than 7950x3d?
Yes
7700xt its for 1440p, even my 6750xt still dealing with 1440p
Well few months ago i bought R7 7700 & RX 7900xt for 1440p ultrawide..
How can you recommend a 8gb card in 2024? Disgraceful
Yeah wouldn't even buy one

Can I pair 7600x 7600xt? On 1080p?
6750xt is better and cheaper if you can still find one. 7600xt is kinda a scam tbh
@justmatt2655 Can I run 1080p on 7800xt? Maybe best way to wait for new gpu release?
@@MariukaS710 7800xt is overkill for what you want that card is designed for 1440p ultra
@@justmatt2655 Think about future
@@MariukaS710 don't get fooled, these companies want you to spend more. 7800xt will be too much for 1080p even in 5 years time. 6750xt is the best option while still not overspending if you're worried about the future
6700xt is cheaper and way better than 4060. BUT it take way more wattage. Its not hotter tho
Bro the 4060 can’t run the new Indiana jones game at ultra settings but the 3060 can lol
The prices are just not even close like the r5 9600x and the rx7900gre not 800$ but more like a 960$ that almost the next combo that comes with 1000$
for games like valorant csgo fortnite apex ect its better to have a better cpu
Ate you squally a yotuber of codm??
Good luck finding a gre right now
Have you tried using your brain when creating your videos?
I also got 7500F
4060 is already a vram issue, eith new games lol 😂😂😂
Theres this crazy concept where people dont play last of us and other vram hoggers and they dont play on max settings with rt, whereBY 8 gigs is enough.
And this other concept where people dont go on the "what my fav youtubers trash talked"
@@Ethan7_7exactly. Too many people panic and over spend on vram
If you’re reading this, please wait 1 month for the 8800 XT. Going to blow every current AMD card out of the water, especially with price to performance.
We'll see how it turns out on release. I've learned to ignore rumours and wait until we actually hear from the company itself lol
