I get that no one likes to be joked on, but if you directly roast people in your reviews, you shouldn't really complain when someone roasts you in their videos. Anyone watch Comic Tropes? The guy on there reviews comics, but I don't recall him directly roasting the comics and creators like Linkara does. At best, he's like "I gotta be honest, this is pretty bad".

At least NC's The Wall vid has brought up a lot of contrasting of Doug Walker with James Rolf. I appreciate this because James is a good example of someone who is a student and lover of film, games, and media who makes endearing B-Movie labors of love with a coherent direction, filming, editing, and purpose that have an interesting universe (Board James, Bullshit Man, AVGN, etc). They're clever and I feel as though they have the same thought and continuity that a lot of bigger budget studio franchises can have, simply lower budget done with a few talented people. Doug, on the other hand, has never had any ounce of production value or skill and his universe is little more than spastic, insufferable, adult children who make videos akin to movies teenagers make on the school playground with their moms camcorder to entertain fedora adorned neckbeards.

the rest of the Channel Awesome crew seems to still see themselves as "not serious reviewers", though Linkara's habit of shoving his "storylines" into his reviews is annoying.

At least NC's The Wall vid has brought up a lot of contrasting of Doug Walker with James Rolf. I appreciate this because James is a good example of someone who is a student and lover of film, games, and media who makes endearing B-Movie labors of love with a coherent direction, filming, editing, and purpose that have an interesting universe (Board James, Bullshit Man, AVGN, etc). They're clever and I feel as though they have the same thought and continuity that a lot of bigger budget studio franchises can have, simply lower budget done with a few talented people. Doug, on the other hand, has never had any ounce of production value or skill and his universe is little more than spastic, insufferable, adult children who make videos akin to movies teenagers make on the school playground with their moms camcorder to entertain fedora adorned neckbeards.
