Can't wait until Disney acquires Nostalgiaverse and we get a Kingdom Hearts world based on Kickassia and whatever that fetishist fever dream in 'the Wall' review was. Imagine the possibilities: - Sora trying to lecture Linkara about hearts and bonds while he just keeps slapping his belly over the loss of Iron Liz to the Heartless. - NC's nobody, Gudox, having an existential crisis from being an irregularity; something his former self would've screeched over till no tomorrow. - It's revealed NC remembered Chain of Memories' plot so Sora didn't have to. - a secret boss battle against Melvin, brother of the Joker. I get the feeling that the Wall episode was made with a minimum of effort, by recruiting as many people as possible to help him, probably for little to no compensation. There was a guy who wrote and composed and arranged all the songs, and at the end Doug shilled an album made of all the songs from the episode that the guy was selling, that was probably the deal they made. Corey Taylor mostly just sat in a chair for a few scenes, but his presence in the episode probably convinced a lot of people to volunteer to help or to appear in crowd shots or whatever. This is always how Channel Awesome operated, manipulating people into helping for little or nothing, at least that was my main takeaway from that Google doc. Also, as Chris himself pointed out, the guy who did the CG has a channel full of videos where he interacts with his weird characters in his house, this probably gives him some kind of weird pleasure, maybe Doug and company figured it would probably be easy to get this guy to do free CG for him but only if it clearly ties in to his weird and possibly perverted webseries, so Doug probably was saddled with those character designs.

Yes, his theme song "The Review Must Go On" comes from his Moulin Rouge review, where he sings a version of that movie's cover of "The Show Must Go On". Doug considered that review his masterpiece, and decided to make the song his intro following his reboot of the "Nostalgia Critic" character in the final episode of Demo Reel. This is all part of the official Nostalgia Critic lore.
I'm not sure it is because nobody ever mentions it, or how fucking cheesy it is that it always says "The Review Must Go On, written by Doug Walker" even though he didn't write the fucking music.
i never realized how cathartic it would be to hear other people "Dog" on doug walker and linkara. as a longtime fan of the nostalgia critic like them along with the AVGN its surprising how good it feels to hear them rip on him as well as praising him.
My personal theory about what happened with The Wall review: Doug simply didn't get it, but I don't mean that in an elitist kinda way. What I mean is he didn't understand what The Wall was about, the story behind it, the characters, the overall style, everything. What he saw was random events and scenes with characters that made no sense to him. He didn't research it properly and just parodied what he personally saw. The result being an absolute mess of random events, non-established characters, and monsters/creatures that seemed completely out of place because that's what he thought it was. That's why it failed so hard - he unfortunately missed the point by miles because he personally didn't see it - and to be honest, without going into it in depth and taking the time to put the pieces together, that's how it can seem the first time around. Personally, I didn't get it all at first. However I love the album and each time I've listened I got more clarity on the story.
The Wall : Symbolic characters during The Trial; Cuckoo Prosecutor, Puppet Teacher, Hovering Mother [helicopter parent], a literal Asshole Judge... NC The Wall Review : Nothing to do with anything except be weird and cringe for the sake of being weird and cringe.
I'm still dumbfounded by how the nostalgia critic got Corey Taylor, the LEAD SINGER of one of Slipknot, One of the biggest metal band in the world, to get on to his videos
It's funny how in the Doug Walker's reviews like Eight Crazy Nights and Beauty and the Beast (live action) he makes fun of people for liking a movie that he hates. Yet Doug himself said that he can't stand people who ridicules others for liking movies that they do not particularly enjoy. I just do not get this man. (He even does these panels where he talks to people about movies that they like or dislike and and lets them give their reasons why. Which makes his actions more confusing.)
Oh the Satellite City isn't furry but rather monster related and it was meant to be creepy and disturbing. I think the creator of the furry creatures meant to have them resemble sorta Tim Burton and/or Grimm Based fairy tales with a hint of Lovecraft. But too each their own I guess.
I’m genuinely so mad Fennah was involved with the Wall review. Because of that, Doug’s brain dead audience and now Oney’s half brain dead audience are all just chanting “furry” and making fun of it. Satellite City is by no means a perfect series, but it’s better than these funny boys make it out to be
I like that Chris and Corey didn't rag on Fennah's work too much like most people did. I will have to agree that some of the characters aren't the best, especially for people who don't know anything about Satellite City since The Wall review didn't give much context.
I've mostly seen people defending Fennah's segments as the only "good parts" in the review. I thought they were the worst of all, because the rest of the video before that just felt like average Nostalgia Critic, missing the point of the source material and being way too reliant on skits. The Fennah sections are what truly made it a trainwreck right at the end, I too visited his channel and his self-serving animations actually gave me less context, they were like fever dreams with no consistency that were created entirely so he could pretend to exist in this alternate reality with his furry OCs. Edit: I'm not at all furry bashing btw, and I like older Nostalgia Critic just fine.
Not sure if they know about Fard Muhammad. He makes the intros now, but he is likely most famous, or infamous, for playing the Army Sergeant in Pop Quiz Hotshot.
Okay, I have to defend FENNAH and his creations here, so here is a reply he made when someone asked whether or not he was a furry. "Am I a furry? The truth comes out: I believe the question is not an apt one; it makes no sense. Characters are characters; Disney, Pixar and other animation giants utilize colourful, anthropomorphic designs all the time, yet I wouldn’t see the critics of the furry community then class themselves a furry because they like Dragons, Lion King, Lilo and Stitch, Treasure Planet; other films, such as Watership Down, Plague Dogs, Fantastic Mr Fox or Animal Farm, or games like God of War, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Ratchet and Clank or most Nintendo titles. People just like to make and write characters, and that’s all. If my characters look like 'furry ocs' in the eyes of a critic just because they happen to be beastly, then in order to be logically consistent, those same people must then apply that logic to all the shows, films, books and games that they partake in; and I think if they did that, they'd find that they ironical qualify as a furry, by their own standards. The furry community is comprised of countless lovely, talented and amazing people and I'm very lucky to have them (you) in my audience; while I don't identify as one myself, I'm glad that there are communities that do allow creativity to thrive! In the end, my view is this: Characters are characters and they come in various degrees of design, colours, impact and quality, and we should judge them on their merits. : )" I'm not here to rant, I just wanted to set the record straight. I hope you all understand. (In case any of you are confused, FENNAH is the RUclipsr who collaborated with the Nostalgia Critic in his 'The Wall' review with his characters.)
Yeah i kinda understand, it does get annoying when everyone just shits on someones work just because it reminds them of something else, something worse, yet accepting of other shit, its just... unfair, i get its how the world works but come on

@@Seantendo I legit read your sentence as "He still *IS* an epic fail unironically,..." which made just as much sense to me.
Satélite city woud also be great joke fuel (#savebob)
Chris' taste is all over the place, like liking the music in the review must go on which is genuinely fucking drek
Yeah, it's something else.
Is it common knowledge that Nostalgia Critic's intro is just a ripoff of The Show Must Go On by Queen?
Yes, his theme song "The Review Must Go On" comes from his Moulin Rouge review, where he sings a version of that movie's cover of "The Show Must Go On". Doug considered that review his masterpiece, and decided to make the song his intro following his reboot of the "Nostalgia Critic" character in the final episode of Demo Reel. This is all part of the official Nostalgia Critic lore.
DrSpikeSpiegel
That seems fair.
I'm not sure it is because nobody ever mentions it, or how fucking cheesy it is that it always says "The Review Must Go On, written by Doug Walker" even though he didn't write the fucking music.
@@FrenkTheJoy He wrote the title.
“He tried his best but he totally faiiiiiled, it’s okay!” is my motto in life now.
The Nostalgia Critic review theme is a cover of a queen song called The Show Must go on which was bases on a cover some from his Mulanruge review.
3:12 No idea what that noise was but I spat my water out laughing
I never waited for a piece of media more in my life than this video......
If the Walkers are all named after what they're supposed to do in life, what does that mean for Rob Walker?
He was meant to be a guy who beats people into wheelchairs. He Robs their Walk.
The long awaited third installment in the trilogy. Looking forward to when you can put out a fourth one.
God bless you and your family for this compilations
i never realized how cathartic it would be to hear other people "Dog" on doug walker and linkara. as a longtime fan of the nostalgia critic like them along with the AVGN its surprising how good it feels to hear them rip on him as well as praising him.
Just like the third Star Wars this is a good ending to a trilogy ruined by some gosh darn furries.
Jesus Christ I was just re-watching the previous two videos for like the 20th time thank you
It feels nice to hear people talking positively about Doug
My personal theory about what happened with The Wall review:
Doug simply didn't get it, but I don't mean that in an elitist kinda way.
NC Wall Review: Furries.
"You may be tall
Your reviews bad overall"
The great Linkara! There he is!
*_THE LIGHTBRINGER_*
I'm still dumbfounded by how the nostalgia critic got Corey Taylor, the LEAD SINGER of one of Slipknot, One of the biggest metal band in the world, to get on to his videos
0:26 why did that scare me...
Immediately starts with “please don’t put this in the nostalgia critic compilation”
Off to an AMAZING start
23:56 Julian absolutely BTFO
It's funny how in the Doug Walker's reviews like Eight Crazy Nights and Beauty and the Beast (live action) he makes fun of people for liking a movie that he hates. Yet Doug himself said that he can't stand people who ridicules others for liking movies that they do not particularly enjoy. I just do not get this man.
(He even does these panels where he talks to people about movies that they like or dislike and and lets them give their reasons why. Which makes his actions more confusing.)
"then halfway through he-"
"halfway through he gets"
"Halfway through he gets a phone call"
"He gets a phone call"
Completely unrelated, but the angle that Ganondorf's face is at during 6:33 reminds me of the RE3make version of Nemesis.
THE ONE WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR
Thank you so much. Please we need more!
Wasn't Doug walker in a furry con ad? I remember watching a metokur stream about it
Meh
waht?
I saw him doing an ad for one maybe a year ago?
Thank you for these videos
“I love nuts” fucking murders me every time
Hook these compilations to my veins
The perfect trilogy is finally complete
3:55 (just timestamping the Film Brain bit for my own reference)
We need a oneyplays family guy video
The speed at which he screams julian in the beginning of this video is insane
6:37 Im fucking crying so much right now
I couldn't finish the Wall review so I had no idea that it was full of weird pregnant fetish characters until now, holy shit o.0
Satellite City is by no means a perfect series, but it’s better than these funny boys make it out to be
@@madeofmeats Oney loves cringe and while I am a furry myself I'll admit it was rather cringe.
Zoe Kyles I admit it was cringe in the context of the Wall review, it really had no place there
@@madeofmeats I think it was doug who influenced fennah into coming along with the idea of "It'll be fun!"
Zoe Kyles I just hope Fennah was monetarily compensated for his contributions
Seriously invite Doug and Lewis and this point. Doug would probably actually be down
he tried his best but he totally *faaaailed*
The compilation will go on
I was hoping we were going to get a part 3 but I didn’t think it would’ve been as soon as this, not that I’m complaining or anything.
Never heard of Doug Walker before then i looked up "The Wall" and I wish I never did....
This is the best series on RUclips
Ok furry
These guys love talking about NC that's for sure, one could say they got a crush on the guy.
Not sure if they know about Fard Muhammad. He makes the intros now, but he is likely most famous, or infamous, for playing the Army Sergeant in Pop Quiz Hotshot.
I love how Cory watches this channel
22:00 thats how I feel about the Nostalgia Critic nowadays.
5 nights at freddy's but it's TGWTG reviewers
You are spoiling us.
Chris’s real name is Chris walker
Okay, I have to defend FENNAH and his creations here, so here is a reply he made when someone asked whether or not he was a furry.
"Am I a furry? The truth comes out:
I believe the question is not an apt one; it makes no sense.
I'm not here to rant, I just wanted to set the record straight. I hope you all understand.
(In case any of you are confused, FENNAH is the RUclipsr who collaborated with the Nostalgia Critic in his 'The Wall' review with his characters.)
H B He's right though. Those are gateways to being a furry and they should be appropriately quarantined.
Yeah i kinda understand, it does get annoying when everyone just shits on someones work just because it reminds them of something else, something worse, yet accepting of other shit, its just... unfair, i get its how the world works but come on
FilmBrain: i'M sO eXcItEd
Nostslgia Critic: SHUT THE FUCK UP FILM BRAIN!!!
