Yea he lost me with that one, that movie still holds up strong to this day wish the series reflected the movie more better suit designs, a strong storyline all the way throughout the movie, good fight scenes you really felt the pressure of what was at stake. I’m a grown man now far from my childhood and I’d sit down now a days and watch it all the way through

To be fair about Matt: He's like everyone's third favorite Green Ranger in a 3 Green Ranger System. The first two are different versions of Tommy. So I see why he has a complex about it.
Yeah but I like Matt. He was introduced in Go Go Power Rangers as Kim's first boyfriend and he broke things off with her because he know she was hiding something and wouldn't come clean to him. Plus I like the look of the upgraded Green Ranger and Dragonzord which leans even MORE into the Godzilla homage.

I cannot overstate how stressful it was watching the Green Ranger give the team the business for multiple episodes when it originally aired.

I loved seeing them lose. 😂 but nothing beats how the psycho ranger worked the power rangers over in their first episode.
The best is when they finally figure out who he is and he just smirks and says, "Yup, and it's going to get worse."
They actually did that fight in season 2 of Mighty Morphin. I believe it was 3 parts episode called Return of the green ranger. It's really really good and 1 of the best and 1 my favourite episodes 🤍💚

@@noaharthur9041 Honestly? Start with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1. These comics tend to build off of each other and stuff introduced in earlier issues tend to come back in later.
You can also read Go Go Power Rangers which focuses on the team just after they become rangers while MMPR takes place right after the events of Green With Evil.

The "dragon thunder Zord" was about as real as ssj5 Goku.
8:10 drakkon shattered the morphin grid which gave Kiya special powers (not morphin powers but like super soldier serum-esk powers) which caused her to overflow with energy and accidentally kill her family, that's why she hates drakkon.

I had the dragon thunderzord as a kid. Unsurprisingly to most: the girls definitely don’t want to be around you.
You must mean the Mega Dragonzord, because the Dragon Thunderzord is comic original combination.
Can wait for the next part. Please do explain some of the other characters as i only seen the show in the 90's early 2000's and not kept up with most new stuff.

17:06 the original show nevwr had a thunder dragon zord since tommy had already moved on to bring the white ranger. Idk if the toys were connectable in that was back then but its a comic creation megazord, same as the white tiger dragon zord when matt and tommy fought together earlier

The Boom comics are awesome. You gotta think, a lot of us grew up in the 90’s, so these writers are trying to cater to an audience that has grown up. I think they’ve done a great job with these books.

The Green Ranger was the best ever! I remember being a little kid and being on holidays in Butlins for a week. I'd get up early every morning to watch 'Power Rangers' and it was the Green Ranger saga. When we got home after the hols my dad asked me what i'd enjoyed the most about the hols and I said the Dragon Zord! He still thinks it was an amusement rude pmsl.
I always thought the green and white rangers where the coolest. Lord Drakken is rule of cool that appeals to my inner child and I'm all for it.
They've really gotta bring some of these stories into the reboot
Will depend on the target audience for the reboot. These comics seem to be for people who grew up with the shows, but are older now. It's a lot of dealing with the results of life, instead of how to live it.
I'd want it to be an animated series. I could see them going really dark ala INVINCIBLE on Prime

I loved most of the recent movie, even the fact that Rita Repulsa was initially the FIRST Green Ranger. I would have loved to see her turn a different kid into a new secret Green Ranger, as well as seeing Lord Zed be another initial Ranger gone rogue, but oh well. There was talk about more Ranger movies, and I hope they do, but I doubt that will happen. I HATED seeing Goldar being a giant golden mess of a monster, though lol that was stupid
