I can see how they all are interested in making ocean pollution free, because initially they started with cleaning the ocean itself and when their prototype didnt work they just didn’t meticulously waste their fund in making new version of that prototype . I love how they jumped to more practical way . When wilson wasnt working i saw a lot of people commenting on cleaning the river first . Glad these ppl heard and jumpstarted interceptor. Love to see them reaching their 5 years goal and closing the tap !

we need to fix both simultaneously. If there's a leak in our roof, one person decide to find a bucket to collect the water while another person trying to find hammer and nail to fix the roof. Both is contributing, its much better than arguing who did a better job.
Actually it is not their responsibility, this is government business. They have tried to help technically. Moreover, it depends on the community and the government whether they want to work together to make more improvements and agreements in the near future.

Setting a good example is the first step of education. Seeing another person cleaning will influence another to do the same. At some point educational materials will bite because some have actually seen clean up first hand. Please keep up the amazing work.

Yup. That's the most important thing to do yet still lots of people not aware with this thing. So i think the goverment needs to make a rules (as an administrative control--risk management) for changing people mindset about waste. Not only make a rules, but they had to practice by their own so they can be a role model for the people in their region (?)

I mean i saw "ibu2" passing and throwing her cup trash in front of my house while i am preparing to go for work on my bike, she sees me there but she still throw her trash there, so after i done preparing i pick that trash and give it back to her while on my bike.... ugh....

We want to be sure the Interceptor is properly implemented and taken care of. We will make sure to work with local operators to ensure they have the support they need.

Hello i'm from indonesia And I want to tell you about my beautiful country actually this country has almost everything you know right? but people here, to be honest I think the problem is with the people here, they behave arbitrarily and if I say that it's not good, they actually scold me I am also the head of a cleaning organization at my school, every day I tell them for 1 year, to throw trash in its place, they even look at me bad, I was being gentle but they ignored me. Is it difficult to dispose of trash in its place? Is it so difficult to do that? heyy ... that's just a small and very ordinary thing to do, but why is it so difficult? when the garbage problem had swelled up, they blamed the government, I didn't know what else to do, so I decided not to be like them, for myself Im use google translate btw, thanks

When you say something to them, they smile or scowl, but they dont pick up their garbage. 3rd world people need to stop having so many kids who learn the same bad habits from their non-thinking parents.
Brother, we need to do our part as well, you can do little things such as minimize the use of plastics, carry your own bags when you buy grocery etc, I have been trying do the above. We also need to create awareness among our people and this begins in our family and neighborhood.

Most of world fund is invested in military, Space exploration project have just a tiny ammount of funding, why shouldnt we invest for brighter future? Rather than funding wars and politics.
In the Netherlands they have to use fake rubbish because there's just no plastic ij the rivers. THAT is preventive action which is cheaper that reactive actions.
TOMZOR No we recycle most of our plastic mate. You have to pay a deposit for most of the plastic bottles stores sell and you get a refund when you return your bottle for recycling so less bottles get thrown away. And you have to pay for those free plastic bags they were giving away when you went to the store. We are not perfect but we actually try to do something about our eco-footprint
@TOMZOR that's not always the case since Indonesia also produce their own plastics. Indonesia is 4th largest country by population also one of the prominent manufacturing base in Asia. Garbage pollution is a serious problem in Indonesia especially since early 21st century

Setuju orang kota seperti Jakarta sudah susah kalo gotong royong, beda klo di desa", tua muda, miskin kaya, gotong royong
Lha cebong selalu nyalahin Gubernur
soal manusia benar x mas, soalnya kalo uda dibersihkan orang2 pada buang sampah ke kali lagi, karena dengan pemikiran, "nanti akan dibersihkan lagi kok oleh pemko, mereka ada alatnya"
termasuk soal cebong kampret, gak jaman lagi ya...

What would you do if you lived in a country which had NEVER HAD waste collection system ??? When your grandparent and parent had always done that because it's the only solution to get rid of your waste ?

@@fraaggl we would Start waste collection system imediately. I as Lithuanian would never ever throw any garbage anywhere except to a garbage bin. My children will act like me aswell.
yea, it should be done in three steps: 1) educate the people; 2) intercept the trashes in the rivers; 3) cleaning up the oceans

Hey we should do this in India too.... I’d love to see our rivers getting cleaned. Government is going a lot apparently but I think this is more effective.

but people here, to be honest I think the problem is with the people here, they behave arbitrarily and if I say that it's not good, they actually scold me
I am also the head of a cleaning organization at my school, every day I tell them for 1 year, to throw trash in its place, they even look at me bad, I was being gentle but they ignored me. Is it difficult to dispose of trash in its place? Is it so difficult to do that? heyy ... that's just a small and very ordinary thing to do, but why is it so difficult?
when the garbage problem had swelled up, they blamed the government, I didn't know what else to do, so I decided not to be like them, for myself

When you say something to them, they smile or scowl, but they dont pick up their garbage. 3rd world people need to stop having so many kids who learn the same bad habits from their non-thinking parents.

Brother, we need to do our part as well, you can do little things such as minimize the use of plastics, carry your own bags when you buy grocery etc, I have been trying do the above. We also need to create awareness among our people and this begins in our family and neighborhood.

In the Netherlands they have to use fake rubbish because there's just no plastic ij the rivers. THAT is preventive action which is cheaper that reactive actions.
TOMZOR No we recycle most of our plastic mate.
You have to pay a deposit for most of the plastic bottles stores sell and you get a refund when you return your bottle for recycling so less bottles get thrown away.
And you have to pay for those free plastic bags they were giving away when you went to the store.
We are not perfect but we actually try to do something about our eco-footprint
@TOMZOR that's not always the case since Indonesia also produce their own plastics. Indonesia is 4th largest country by population also one of the prominent manufacturing base in Asia. Garbage pollution is a serious problem in Indonesia especially since early 21st century
