I asked my parents after watching this video and doing about maybe a 1-2 weeks of deep research. I’ve heard of people not knowing what they’re getting into and I wanted to be prepared. After showing my research and some of this video, and after a week of talking, I’m getting a cockatiel! Thank you so much 😊
Brandi Kroeze I can answer your question for you. When you first bring your cockatiel home make sure the cage is already set up and has food and water bowls and perches next if your cockatiel isnt hand fed or wasn't tamed I recommend leaving them in their cage for a couple of days and let them get used to their surrondings then start to interact with the bird and slowly start training it.
@@rodneysworld8328 if you are still in school, you should probably wait before you commit your life to a bird. My tiels are out of cage 12-14hrs a day. I waited until I was 27 before I knew I could give a bird a forever home
The BigSky Family Vlogs that’s so cool. I got a 19 year old from a shelter. Since the possibly life exspectancy is 30 yrs. I have two parents that are willing to take care of him when I go to collage. He also doesn’t like to be out of his cage 24/7. He often attacks me whenever I am asking him to step up on my hand to go inside of his cage. And he was is at least 4 homes before we saw him at a shelter. So the time felt right considering that he had been at the shelter for just a few days.
Rodney’s World you are talking about african love bird right? Thats not a good idea cause their a very aggressive birds and might kill your cockatiel. My african love bird rip the toe of one of my budgie and bullied my cockatiel.
I’m getting a cockatiel in January next year as a Christmas gift 😍 it’s from a really good breeder and the bird will be tame when I get it I’m some excited
After a year, i got my forst cockatiel a friend. He wasn't binding with me, and did not enjoy time with me. Now, ive made toys, bought toys and hung up toilet paper rolls. The new cockatiel plays with everything. Shreds everything. My first one however, does absolutely nothing all day :( how can i get him to play? I feel so bad for him.
I love this video! It was really helpful, cause just yesterday I was looking up how to care for cockatiels, but nothing gave me important information like this video. Thanks so much for this awesome vid!
I had a normal gray cockatiel and he died recently cause if illness. his name was DoDo and was the sweetest bird I ever met. In the mornings he'd wake me up with his wonderful singing and sometimes when I ate he'd sneek some rice or noodles off my plate. He only lived a year but I'm glad he had a good life, and now he's in a better place. He was tame and rubbed his head on your face if you had him on your shoulder. He was a great bird and I'll never forget him.
I tried to introduce my cockatiel to a friend but she just wouldnot have it. She was much happier on her own.Her name was Madison, named after the mermaid in the movie Splash
I was listening to this because I am considering getting a cockatiel but I need to do a lot of research first and my budgies went absolutely nuts because they couldn’t find the other birds making the noise 😂😂
I'm so happy you made this video! There is an exotic bird store near my house where all of their parrots are out and about around little perches. I went and found the sweetest cockatiel ever! It would always run in front of the rest of the cockatiels to getup to my hand and run to my shoulder. And when I left and came back it got so happy and I wanted the bird so bad but I couldn't. I love the store because all of the birds are so sweet and they let anyone touch them because they are all so sweet. But since they are so sweet it's verrrrrry expensive!!! But the cockatiels were only $80!? I was expecting around $300 . I don't know if I am going to get it though because I am at school all day and I feel like the bird would be so lonely.
I just today asked my mom if I could get a cockatiel bird and she said yes (don't worry she will be helping me care for it and handle it) Edit:I am homeschooled so I will be spending lots of time with it
I bought a pair of cockatiel 1 year ago.... and there was some eggs they hatched 4 survived and 1 didn't... I took one of the 4 babies after spending 2 weeks with his parents... and i put him in an independent cage.... and hand fed him he's now 1.5 months old... the question is can I return him to the first cage with his siblings... after being tamed and hand fed.. btw thank you for the informative video!!!?
Recently a bird rescue near me received 300 cockatiels from an owner who suddenly died. My mom and I are thinking of adopting a couple! I’m super excited
Hey! This is great! Lately my mum found a cockatiel in our tree, she grabbed it and it let her, it’s very tame, nice, kinda snappy, young and probably female. If the owner doesn’t say something on Facebook in a week we can keep her! So yeah. She kind of gets along with my budgie if they aren’t touching.
Pretty messed up to keep someone's pet. What if it belongs to someone who doesn't have facebook or you just dont see their post?? Post everywhere that you found it. Its heartbreaking to loose a pet. Do the right thing.
How do you make cockatiels go back into their cages? I’m working on just getting my guy used to my hand and stuff but when I take him out, how will I get him back in his cage. His wing’s are not clipped and he hasn’t had much flight experience.
I have 4 budgies.and i will give all of them to my dad's friend, then we will buy a big cage, food, sticks, toys, then we will buy a cockatiel! And also i can bring back my budgies any day :)

LaLa Lily I have guinea pigs and I have two girls. They're super sweet and I got them from two different petstores (I know that's not a good idea) but on the same day almost four years ago. I love them both so much and they're really good pets. I definitely recommend!
LaLa Lily I have 3 male guinea pigs. I suggest getting a c and c cage. They are only around $100 depending on the cage. I decided to build one myself they are extremely easy to make, for only $20! Guinea pigs NEED a lot of space and make sure they always have hay. I used aspen wood shavings and it came in a huge bag for only $10 and it lasted my huge c and c cage like 10 times before getting a new one. Also, MAKE SURE TO WATCH PETS PALACE PLUS GUINEA PIG VIDEOS! IT INSPIRED ME TO GET MINE AND HERS ARE SO SWEET! THEY ARE IN A HUGE CAGE AND I KNOW EVERYTHING I KNOW BECAUSE OF HER GO SUBSCRIBE!!!
LaLa Lily I own 2 males. They are brothers and they do occasionally bicker, but they love each other. These are my first piggies, but from what I've heard, males tend to bond more with the humans, while females tend to be great with any other piggies, but tend to be slightly more shy. Of course it's also up to the personality of the piggies. I got my piggies from a breeder, since the nearest rescue is takes more than 6 hours to get to, but if you do want to get your guineas from a breeder, I would advise you to come and see how the pigs are cared for and if they're healthy, as my boys brought a fungal infection with them. If possible, I would recommend going to a rescue. If you don't have a rescue near you, I recently found out that some pet shops offer pets that were brought back or can't be sold for a reason, so they put them up for adoption. As for food, I feed my piggies 20% of their weight in veggies, 4 tablespoons of a pellet mix and unlimited Timothy or orchard grass hay and water. I would recommend C&C or DIY cages, as I got a pet store cage that was very expensive and not even big enough and it broke very quickly. If you want more info here are some good guinea pig related channels: Erin's Ark( formerly known as Pet's Palace Plus), Piggie Palace, and Little Adventures. Happy Tails also has some good guinea pig videos, such as feeding all my pets and guinea pig care. I hope I helped you😉
LaLa Lily I forgot to mention that I use fleece and aspen wood shavings as bedding. Paper bedding is also fine. I use fleece in most of the cage as my piggies love it and aspen in the dining part. I spot clean the aspen every other day and clean it out every other week. As for the fleece, I spot clean twice a day and do a full clean once a day.
Thanks for this. I recently got 5 cockatiels and i only wanted 2 but the breeder gave me 5 because he had to get rid of them all. Luckily i have a big cage that will suit them until my new avairy is built. They are so beautiful
Aww, this makes me miss my cockatiel, Little Rose. She was the prettiest albino bird and loved to sit on my chest, shoulder, or my lap while I walked around the house, did homework, or played video games. Inside of her cage she hung out with my parakeets but then she got sick with a respiratory infection and I had to move the two keets into another cage. I gave her medicine every day but in the end she didn't make it. :( Poor girl was the sweetest bird I've ever owned
Sariel Kage I'm sorry about Rose. She reminds of my bird DoDo who also passed away recently and I know how hard it is. He only lived a year but I'm glad that I had a chance to love him and play with him. DoDo would always cuddle up on my shoulder and was the sweetest thing ever. It was really hard to move on but I know that he too,is in a much better place.
I really want a cockatiel, but my parent's don't want one. I know how to take care of them, and I have composed pages and pages of research. I was wondering if there are any tips I can have for getting them to consider?
Ok so I plan on getting one but I wanted to know if you can train their wake up time and sleep time? If so then please reply if this is a good time for sleeping. So go to bed at 9:00pm and wake up at 12:00 in the afternoon. Is that a good time? That is 15 hours of sleep. Is that too much? Also when the bird wakes up it will be fed but no interaction for 2-3 hours. Is that good? Thanks you for the help!! 😁
You'll have to wake up when your cockatiel does lol. If they wake up at 7am, you have to wake up at 7am. You can't change their sleeping times, that will result in a grumpy and loud tiel. I would say 15 hours is slightly too long, they ideally should be getting 10 - 12 hours. If your bird is one of the rare types that let you sleep in, I would put your tiel to bed at 9pm, and wake him up at around 9am. You might not like waking up that early, but it will be best for your bird, and you will soon get used to it! :)
This is so helpful! i really want a cockatiel and im saving up for one for my birthday, and the cages and food and other essentials , and my dad is allergic to dust, so i will try to make sure that my bird tries to stay away from my dad, but not be scared of him!
I just got a new cockatiel and he is 11 weeks old. I was observing his behavior for a bit and he fell off his perch and won't climb back up. Is this something I should worry about?
I’m looking into getting a cockatiel. I bought a sun conure from somebody and I recently had to give him back because the screaming was so bad and non stop. And when I took him out he would attack me. The owner eventually told me he likes males better (ha would have been nice to know) I know birds are vocal but are these guys super loud? Do they scream? I have a parakeet who can be vocal but the sound is more enjoyable.
We have a male pet store budgie and he really only likes me. Doesn’t like my kids though they want him to love them. Thinking of adding a cockatiel since I hear they can be better with bonding to more than one person and hopefully my kids can give the cuddles and scratches they so want to do with the budgie and can’t. Would you recommend a female or male cockatiel in terms of temperament and being loving? Talking isn’t a deal breaker. Only worry with females I have heard is the egg laying. We would go with a breeder who hand tames to get our best chance at the kids bonding with a young Bird for life but not sure if we should go with a male or female. Also- will one cockatiel be ok to manage as far as dust in an open room with an aid purifier? Still too dusty? Are cockatiels much messier as far as poop? The budgie poop is more solid in general and easy to pick up. Is that not the same for the cockatiel? Is cockatiel poop more liquidy and runny like a pigeon or similar to budgie?
I’m going to get a cockatiel in the summer. I’m hoping it’s a boy but it is going to be a hand-feed baby so that might not happen. I’m going to get it from a cheap and family run pet shop. They keep great care of their birds (I know the owner and I’ve seen where and how they keep the birds) the store is called Magnolia Bird Farm, it is near LA for anyone that is in Southern California. I highly suggest this shop, they have great toys, extremely healthy birds and get service
my baby cockatiel who me and my dad were hand feeding just passsed away,i am sad but i kinda new it yesterday he was so sad to look at he woud just drop his head down and fall a sleep and woudent eat,hes poop and pee was green,i new he was sick but coudnt take him to the vet cuz vet in my village dosent even know how to clip nails for any of my animals so i went to sleep in tears and woke up to my dad seying he passed away,i guess he's in better place now
Blue SparkleGirle I know how you feel,my cockatiel,DoDo passed away a few months ago,and it was so hard. I cried all day and the next, and the next. It was really hard for me because he was a friend,a true good friend.
that's so sad. sorry for your loss. it's a terrible thing to lose someone you love. curious what sorts of pets you have at the moment? also, do you have a snapchat?
Me and my dad were hand feeding and raising a baby african grey and he died a few weeks ago. He was the most adorable baby and you would just fall in love with him at first sight. We’re still not sure how he died. We think maybe he was sick or he got too cold. I still think about him every day. I know how you feel. Though i might be getting a cockatiel very soon, it will never replace him or those before him
Even though my cockatiel is handfed and I'm self employed and with her all day, I'm wondering if she might still appreciate another bird companion. I noticed when she sees or hears my other neighbors' cockatiels she seems curious and likes to call back to them. She even chirped to another parrot on XBox Live because the person my brother played against online also had a bird who could be heard through the mic.
I love you so much, I wish there were more people like you in the world. I recently got a hedgehog 3 weeks ago and he is still a baby, in the future I would really like to get a bird. But about the hedgehog, I need to ask some questions, so could you make a live video later toady plz plz plz ilysm
Greta Schneider When is it noticeable? Have you noticed quills around his cage? Do you see little white dots which would be mites? Are more quills growing back? He could be going through his quilling process.
Anya Behringer well when he is stretching I can see a line of no quills that goes down his body I don't know if he has white dots because it looks like just dry skin. But in other spots in his body there a small bald spots but they are small
Greta Schneider ok, if there is not another quill growing through there could be mites or another issue so I would take him to the vet. What bedding do you keep him on? Where is he from?
I recently adopted two parakeets that were sisters and a while ago one of her sisters died and the other one has been lonely I’m thinking of getting a cocktail for the other bird the cage I have for them right now is 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide is that big enough?
Hi ... I like your videos and your parrots. I am looking to buy my first Bird parrot and I am afraid when I let him out of the cage where he will poops? Does he poops every where? Does he poops on your shoulders? Please advice and help. Thanks
So,You said chop is a good option for companion cockatiels but mine love to stick together and the older one never lets me touch the younger one, also we have always fed them seed, but every once in a while we give them a piece of celery of carrots so,should i keep thier diet so far which is seeds or switch to "Chop"
Hi, I have been asking many youtubers, but haven't received response. My 4 month old cocateil wouldn't eat any vegetables atall when I adopted her a month ago. But my repeated attempts finally resulted in feeding her cooked grains and a few vegetables( she never even bit into the grains or vegetables if not cooked ). But when I offer her the mixture of all tge boiled sprouted grains and the semi cooked vegetables, she just eats one of her favorites and discards everything else. So I feed her the contents separately little by little keeping a gap of 2 hours of interval. Sometimes I am successful to feed the vegetables and sometimes not. Just wanted to know how much should a bird eat in terms of a spoon in the entire day so I get an idea if she is eating less or excessively. I give her millets and seeds sparingly on alternate days or when I feel she hasn't had enough. We don't get bird pellets in our country. Your suggestion will be helpful. Thanks
I have a cockatiel named Tilli. She was given to me by a friend who let her parents feed her but she bonded with her. I still plan on getting her a friend this year. The only problem that I have with her is that my friend fed her seeds only, so I’ve tried transferring her on to pellets, we are getting there but she won’t eat them without seeds. And she also won’t eat and fruit or vegetables, I got her to eat spinach but that was it. I’ve tried various fruits and vegetables but nothing, any tips on getting her to eat some more fresh food?
Hey I go to school, and 1 day a week I can't spend any time with my bird. If I have 2 birds and spend 4-6 hours with my birds a day on the 5 days a week I can, +2 hours on the 6th day, will they be OK? They have a big cage with heaps of toys
How do you get a bird to eat veggies? I've given mine lettuce for days,. other veggies for days and she's not even trying them out? Our Cockatiel was hand-raised at a well-respected bird farm, in fact, i know the feeder who raised her still. I go there for Millet, seed, grit, cuttlebones etc. She only eats Millet and special Cockatiel seed mix. Thank you
I’ve found a good place to find a cockatiel, but they only have a single one. Plus, the cage isn’t that big so I don’t think I would be able to have two. I’m currently homeschooled but I will be going back to school after the summer. But other than that I will be home. Can I just have one? Or should I get another?
Shadowpixel I would recommend getting two as a friend when you are away. If you are not willing to get a bigger cage ( size for two is 30x15x30 ) then I would get one. If you have some after school activities when you go back to school, I would definitely have two. This is coming from a person with two cockatiels and it seems to have worked well while I’m gone for longer periods of time. Hope this helps!
I was thinking of getting this bird . But my son might be asthmatic. So would you say this is the wrong bird to get . What bird would be right as I heard most birds have dust
Hi. Sometimes my female Cockatiel Heidi sleeps with her head down (like she wants to rubbed in the head) . She started doing this about 2 months back. She eats well and and poop looks just normal. Should I be worried?
Kevin you shouldnt be too concerned althought if you notice some changes like it wont eat or drink or it sits still in place I would recommend taking your bird to the vet just to be safe.
My cockatiel was only 60 dollars from a local store that has been around for over 50 years. The cage was 100 dollars. I feed him seeds and one veggie every day. I am going to give him broccoli tomorrow morning when I clean and change his food and water again. He is not hand fed and he hisses at me but I have only had him for almost five days now. His bedtime is around 6:30 to 7 pm every night and so I have to make sure I can get sleepy by then if not then I will still put his cover over his cage and will sit here until I get sleepy. I am still new to cockatiels but I have done my research. Today we watched pauly the movie together inside the room. He was grinding his beak and felt really relaxed. He didn't like that I was starting to set up the movie with out him around me which is weird because I think he hates my guts right now sense he is still getting use to being around me.

Also I'm really interested in bareback riding and ground work with horse, id love to improve with the horse i ride Macey, she is a point and shoot horse so she stays with me and stops when i stop but likes to be infront of me. Do you have any tips
I'm interested in getting a cockatiel... but I am away during the day and I don't want it to be lonely. I have a lovebird and several budgies, would a cockatiel be able to bound to either species or are cockatiels not the bird for me?
I decided to watch this video to make sure I am treating my tiels right and right from the start they were both tweeting along with yours 😅 My only question is, what recipes do you recommend for a cockatiel that was raised on seed and pellet mix (pet shop bird, I got surprised with him) to begin eating vegges and fruits as they were never provided with them prior, we do give them natural foliage every two days which have leaves and flowers they love to demolish and eat (I'm in Australia so they get native plants and we make sure they are ok for consumption) but for other greens they flat out refuse them and I just want to provide them with the best life I can
Tayla Mae UGH I need help with that too!! My parakeets are on an extremely unhealthy seed diet and I'm trying to get them on more fruits and veggies, but they hate anything other than their seeds.
We can only afford 1 cockatiel it’s alright for you saying They really need to have a friend but some people just can’t afford to get to apart from that this video was really helpful thanks

If there is a gray and white one does it have to be the same gray and white one or can it be different colors than the other in the same cage
I might get 2 cockatiels so it'd be 250 plus tax for the bird parts for the actual things wouldn't be about for $120 plus tax and all the things for the bird and the bird would be 420 dollars plus taxs

When you first bring your cockatiel home make sure the cage is already set up and has food and water bowls and perches next if your cockatiel isnt hand fed or wasn't tamed I recommend leaving them in their cage for a couple of days and let them get used to their surrondings then start to interact with the bird and slowly start training it.

thank you for giving me and my lady something to watch over diner all the time, we really appreciate it, keep uploading new content. love it
+anjuan yourhero thanks!
+CharlieTiel try different textures. Some like shiny, some like paper, just have to try different things
How are they doing?
I love this video! It was really helpful, cause just yesterday I was looking up how to care for cockatiels, but nothing gave me important information like this video. Thanks so much for this awesome vid!
I have a cocktail I only have one but i’m the one who bonds with him should i get a other bird?
I have one too and i honestly spend all day with them and he is perfectly healthy and active so i honestly say only keep 1 is fine
I was wondering if you can make a video of how to make time go faster if your getting a bird
Can budgies in a separate cage be a good cockatiel companion because I have 2 little chatterboxes( my budgies) that could talk a cockatiels ear off
Um.. update... they died 💔💔
I didn't know about the dust someone gave them to us and I have asthma but I love my cockatiels what should I do
@SickSeal thx I think I will keep them my asthma isn't as bad as it used to be
Try to keep their cage clean and other frequent baths
I just today asked my mom if I could get a cockatiel bird and she said yes (don't worry she will be helping me care for it and handle it)
Edit:I am homeschooled so I will be spending lots of time with it
Homeschooling is awesome. I have way more time to spend caring for my animals
I’m homeschooled too and looking into getting a cockatiel
@@bongzilla7770 I'm pet sitting two. They're great birds. Hope you find a lovely one
I have really bad allergies, but I was wondering if I could do anything to the cocoteals cage to make it cleaner or something?
I bought a pair of cockatiel 1 year ago.... and there was some eggs they hatched 4 survived and 1 didn't... I took one of the 4 babies after spending 2 weeks with his parents... and i put him in an independent cage.... and hand fed him he's now 1.5 months old... the question is can I return him to the first cage with his siblings... after being tamed and hand fed.. btw thank you for the informative video!!!?
Recently a bird rescue near me received 300 cockatiels from an owner who suddenly died. My mom and I are thinking of adopting a couple! I’m super excited

Icards will be added soon
Happy Tails do you clip there wings
Happy Tails parakeets are the most popular pet parrot
Ramiro F Moreno parakeets aren't parrots so she was right
I was thinking about getting 2 Guinea pigs and I was wondering if you could make a video if 2 males or 2 females would be better together and what their daily food should be and good treats for them as what kind of bedding I should use and how often I should clean the cage etc. this would make my day if you did this!! And I love your videos!! Please like so that Megan can see this!
LaLa Lily I have guinea pigs and I have two girls. They're super sweet and I got them from two different petstores (I know that's not a good idea) but on the same day almost four years ago. I love them both so much and they're really good pets. I definitely recommend!
Emily Zary ok thank you!!!
My cockatiel is sitting on my lap while I'm watching this
My bird is still a baby, 6 months to be exact. Should I still feed it the food you listed in the video?
I will be getting a cocktiel soon, I love birds so this video will help😊
is your cockatiel loud? ( looking to get one) thanks xx
I have a cinnamon and albino cockatiel both males! They both get along well with each other, and they still bond well with me.
They are Soo soft. I love mine so much. If you take yours out for at least an hour a day, he/she won't need another.
Thank you for the info. My daughter and i have HORRIBLE allergies so i guess its not the best idea to get one. I appreciate all the truth.
If you aren’t home on weekdays a lot is it a good idea to get two cockatiels?
This was so helpful! Thank you!
I have a cockatiel but I can't get it out of the cage please give me a few suggestions on how too!
Hey. So if I have another bird in the same room as my teil would that be okay with me being out of the house for work sometimes? Thanks.
my baby cockatiel who me and my dad were hand feeding just passsed away,i am sad but i kinda new it yesterday he was so sad to look at he woud just drop his head down and fall a sleep and woudent eat,hes poop and pee was green,i new he was sick but coudnt take him to the vet cuz vet in my village dosent even know how to clip nails for any of my animals so i went to sleep in tears and woke up to my dad seying he passed away,i guess he's in better place now
Blue SparkleGirle I know how you feel,my cockatiel,DoDo passed away a few months ago,and it was so hard. I cried all day and the next, and the next. It was really hard for me because he was a friend,a true good friend.
yes,i'm still cryng my eyes out i miss him so much he was such a nice baby parrot
that's so sad. sorry for your loss. it's a terrible thing to lose someone you love. curious what sorts of pets you have at the moment? also, do you have a snapchat?
Me and my dad were hand feeding and raising a baby african grey and he died a few weeks ago. He was the most adorable baby and you would just fall in love with him at first sight. We’re still not sure how he died. We think maybe he was sick or he got too cold. I still think about him every day. I know how you feel. Though i might be getting a cockatiel very soon, it will never replace him or those before him
I love the colors on that one
Even though my cockatiel is handfed and I'm self employed and with her all day, I'm wondering if she might still appreciate another bird companion. I noticed when she sees or hears my other neighbors' cockatiels she seems curious and likes to call back to them. She even chirped to another parrot on XBox Live because the person my brother played against online also had a bird who could be heard through the mic.
Do the two cockatiels have to be in the same cage
I saw a cockatiel for 25 dollars with a free cage on craiglist, so i came to research. Thanks, hopefully i can get the little guy
I love you so much, I wish there were more people like you in the world. I recently got a hedgehog 3 weeks ago and he is still a baby, in the future I would really like to get a bird. But about the hedgehog, I need to ask some questions, so could you make a live video later toady plz plz plz ilysm
He has a weird line of no quills on his back but it is not that noticeable
Greta Schneider When is it noticeable? Have you noticed quills around his cage? Do you see little white dots which would be mites? Are more quills growing back? He could be going through his quilling process.
Anya Behringer well when he is stretching I can see a line of no quills that goes down his body I don't know if he has white dots because it looks like just dry skin. But in other spots in his body there a small bald spots but they are small
Greta Schneider ok, if there is not another quill growing through there could be mites or another issue so I would take him to the vet. What bedding do you keep him on? Where is he from?
I keep him on biodegradable paper bedding and do you mean where I got him or his origin ?
I recently adopted two parakeets that were sisters and a while ago one of her sisters died and the other one has been lonely I’m thinking of getting a cocktail for the other bird the cage I have for them right now is 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide is that big enough?
Hi ... I like your videos and your parrots. I am looking to buy my first Bird parrot and I am afraid when I let him out of the cage where he will poops? Does he poops every where? Does he poops on your shoulders? Please advice and help.
Thanks
+Curt Jerker Yup they poop everywhere. If that's a problem don't get one.
Happy Tails what if I keep him in cage? And let him out for 15 minutes... Is that okay ?
Ali Al Hashemi no it is not okay
Is 0.4 good to cage spacing
So,You said chop is a good option for companion cockatiels but mine love to stick together and the older one never lets me touch the younger one, also we have always fed them seed, but every once in a while we give them a piece of celery of carrots so,should i keep thier diet so far which is seeds or switch to "Chop"
They need more vegetables and fruits than just seed but don't feed them avacodos your bird can't digest it so it will die if you feed it avocados
What kind of toys should I buy for them
That cage I’m getting bar spacing is 6/8 should it be safe to use
Can you make a video about your opinion on clipping birds feathers? There's a lot of debate about it and i'm not sure if i should i not
If I get a cage that is 53"/61"/70", is that ok for two white faced cockatiels?
Thanks
My friend has one of these I love it 😻
I have a cockatiel named Tilli.
I have a busy schedule should I really get a bird?
I love Cockatiels I have me a couple of Cockatiels they are the best birds to Own. As pets I love Cockatiels
Is it okay if instead of a cockatiel companion I have two parakeet companions for my cockatiel?
im getting a 2 week old cockatiel today. any tips? also can you give good food options?
I think thats illegal to sell unweened baby animals
Also unless you are a professional breeder or a professional vet etc you shouldn't be hand feeding the bird. It will end up dying
Do cockatiels need constant air flow from a oscillating fan? Tenant demands it does, really would like to know thanks.
+Micah Irizarri no
Hey I go to school, and 1 day a week I can't spend any time with my bird. If I have 2 birds and spend 4-6 hours with my birds a day on the 5 days a week I can, +2 hours on the 6th day, will they be OK? They have a big cage with heaps of toys
My cockatiel cleans its own cage O.O
Is it normal???
If you are not willing to get a bigger cage ( size for two is 30x15x30 )
then I would get one.
I live in a desert, I’m used to dust and dirt 😂😂😂
I wish i had seen this before getting both my cockatiels. Dont get me wrong, i adore my grumpy guys! I just wish i could pet them and scritch them.
Could I put window screen around the cage so no feathers in my room it is messy enough lol
love cockatiels, i would choose rats as a new pet over cockatiels though.
I want a cockateil but I go to school. Is it right for me to buy one?
Question can I keep them with my parakeets in the same cage because my mom doesn't want to buy or use my parakeets old cage?
+Jose Reyes Bonilla no, do not over crowd birds
I decided to watch this video to make sure I am treating my tiels right and right from the start they were both tweeting along with yours 😅
My only question is, what recipes do you recommend for a cockatiel that was raised on seed and pellet mix (pet shop bird, I got surprised with him) to begin eating vegges and fruits as they were never provided with them prior, we do give them natural foliage every two days which have leaves and flowers they love to demolish and eat (I'm in Australia so they get native plants and we make sure they are ok for consumption) but for other greens they flat out refuse them and I just want to provide them with the best life I can
Tayla Mae UGH I need help with that too!! My parakeets are on an extremely unhealthy seed diet and I'm trying to get them on more fruits and veggies, but they hate anything other than their seeds.
How do you make time for all your pets?
We can only afford 1 cockatiel it’s alright for you saying They really need to have a friend but some people just can’t afford to get to apart from that this video was really helpful thanks
Willow Moore then don't get a bird in the first place....it's cruel to only have one
I love cockatiels!!!!!
Love your videos and your animals (:
