quick tip for sharpening on any system: you should be able to feel a very small burr hanging off one side of the edge with ur fingernail (it'll be on the opposite side you just ground) and that's how you know you've done enough passes. do a couple passes, switch sides do the same number of passes and then feel for that burr; your fingernail should catch on it. once you've got that burr move up to ur next grit and do it again until you get to the highest grit belt/stone. at that point the goal is to polish that burr off so you can't feel it anymore.
As a little tip from somebody that uses powered systems to sharpen, you can put painters tape over the blade where you are worried that you would scratch/grind the finish/coating away.
I can imagine regular knife people are goanna laugh at us bali gangs when they sees us had just discovered worksharps systems and also still consider AUS-**/154cm as top tier blade materials.
this video came at the PERFECT time, i wanted to put an edge on my live vp and resharpen my dulled lives.... but all i have is a kitchen knife sharpener and it doesnt do too well :) edit with a question: you say close to the end of the video that if you dont know the angle of your knife and you use this specific sharpener youll put a completely new edge on the knife, does that change how you operate it at all? would you start with the green belt because of that or would you still start with the red belt?
I don't know why, but since watching you boys, Ive had this weird and totally Awesome idea that runs through my head of this very hand lending comedic genius camera man having a sub alius of a clone spawning magician named.. "the great brandini" who's literally takes charge of his clones like a wasp system haha any way really enjoy your videos boys, I've learned alot and it's just about the freshest thing in my life. looking forward to more. 🙂
Ive noticed squids and Machinewise have really small edges, and apparently ground at a steeper angle than most edc knives bc why would u want it to be that sharp if you're only going to flip it. sure be sharp and functional, but it doesnt have to be a razor lol
You didn't explain the burr. That's how you get it to its sharpest. Lol. Always sharpen until you get a bur on the other side, then you swicth sides. 😉

Hey, buddy, I'm looking for a false live blade bali, like the teflon vulp have a false live, or is there anything out there under $100
The hospital blood emojis😂
Can I use the same process To make an edge on my Lucha trainer?
Does that work with the false edge nabalis canyon? (Sorry if my question is a bit dumb)
Do you use a lether strop after sharpening or not?
At this point id just expose the grinds by putting a satin finish on the grind and the swedge, it'd look pretty baller
What are all those knives on that shirt? Looks cool👍
