I am in my 30's and I don't feel like an adult.
I'd add - "and that's okay" on to the end of your sentence, Lez! Thanks for sharing.
I’m 32 and I’m starting to suspect I might be an adult.
I'm turning 24 soon, and i don't feel like an adult. I still feel like a teen and out of place being around adults.
You're not alone! There's a wide range of experiences. And that's part of why they call 18-25 years old "emerging adulthood." 😃
I just turned 24 I hold a very important job and I am in charge of several people and I don’t feel like an adult either. (Like why would people would want to listen to what I have to say I’m just a kid?)
@@AaronFernandes__ same, i was a cashier and felt out of place the whole time.
I'm turning 26 and I do not feel like adults.. like ever
You're not alone, Cherry! Do you even want to be one? You get to decide. Then you have the opportunity to take the next best steps for you.
@@drcaitlinfaas thank you so much
i am 24 years old ...and don't feel like adult
@@Cherry-nu3uo I feel like I'm an adult being 17. I hate it
Same here and tbh I don’t want to grow up 🙁 I’m 25 I feel like a 6 year old
I personally have noticed about myself (and it’s not something I’m proud of, it’s actually embarrassing) that in many ways, although I’m a grown man, I still in my mind feel like I’m a young adult. I have given it lots of thought and I believe it’s because of a series traumatic events I went through in my early teens through to my 20’s. Because of those events, I believe I was never really able to develop properly. I have very much been in a daze just sleepwalking through the days. Can anyone relate to this or understand where I’m coming from?
That's very understandable, Johnny. And common - it sounds like you also have a belief that you're not supposed to feel like a young adult in your mind some of the time? Maybe it's okay to be a grown man and have parts that feel young. And important to seek professional help to process traumatic events, in my opinion. 🙏
I feel like I fell behind and did maturing late, slow, and maybe stilted. I don’t feel like an adult, I don’t take myself serious.
And maybe that's okay, Ariel! There's not one path and no requirement to take yourself seriously. 😃
Please make more videos, very relatable
Thanks, Arundhuti! Feel free to send me questions you have!
@@drcaitlinfaas okay,where do I ask them?
@@arundhutichakraborty2640 You can ask them here or send me an email - caitlin@drcaitlinfaas.com :)
@@drcaitlinfaas thank you 😄
@@arundhutichakraborty2640 thanks for asking her mail out....i was thinking that I am the only Desi brown having this west white problem of "not feeling adult yet, despite being adult😐"... relieved that I am not the only one....nice nose piercing btw!..Adios
Thanks for pointing out that the people in their 30s in that room already felt like adults…
The 50+ crew was looking at me skeptically. 😎
@@drcaitlinfaas I'm in my 30s and still feel like a child! And I don't think that when I'm in my 50s I'm even gonna come close to feeling like an adult! 😭
@@shadowoflugia Maybe you don't need the label of adulthood after all? 😀
@@drcaitlinfaas yeah let’s go with that. We’re all just humans tryna survive in this world and find ways to live with ourselves.
@@shadowoflugia Words of wisdom right there! ⚡Walking alongside you.
I’m 26 studying my master’s degree (1 year delayed so far) living with my parents and I don’t have a job so no, I don’t feel like an adult… 😢
That's very common, you're not alone! No need to feel like an adult or rush to "get there." 😃
@@drcaitlinfaas thank you
@@aleenathammasorn9007 You're welcome, Aleena!
This was very unhelpful. The problem is why a 40-50 year old feels like a child who pretends to be an adult. How can one identify with being an adult when inside his or her mind they’re still a vulnerable child.
That makes me think of parts - have you explored any of that work? Inner child? Here's a video where I talk about it - ruclips.net/video/tEduWoiOItU/видео.html
@@drcaitlinfaas I have been doing inner child work for 30 years. I am working in the field of psychology. But the methods are not quite there yet. I was hoping you can tell me somthing new.
@@marotiem Sending compassion for your journey. I wonder if it's more information you're seeking, or something else? Something I contemplate regularly.
Am 21 I don't feel like an adult... I don't think like adult.. Am feeling bad for that..
No need to feel bad! Maybe you don't need to feel or think like an adult at this time?
Tqs for ur words
Vždyť jste děti… nikdo se nediví, ze se tak cítíte…
Teď ten detskej plan s tou Ikeou zase 😂😂😂
A to ta detinsky sracka trvá 3 měsíce…
A to jak starý paní obtezujete život tři měsíce, tvrdíte, ze řídíte svět, to by měl slyset nejakej psychiatr.
There's an English translation, but I don't think Google quite knew how to translate it correctly. 💞
