I own both the sub date 41 mm and the YM 40 rhodium dial. The YM is slimmer, sleeker, classier and wears better then the Sub. The YM feels more refined and more luxurious. Also every man and his dog has a sub.
I had the decision to go for a sub date or the yatchmaster 40 Rhodium ... in the end I chose the Yachtmaster so glad I did looks super cool 😎 fits perfectly and less boring than the typical everyday black sub 😂
It doesn't fit at all; there are such wide gaps at the ends of the watch that you could stick your finger in them ;) ruclips.net/video/P6NxWG5cK-g/видео.html
Another presentation and demonstration of how not to wear watches and what a poorly fitted watch looks like. Unfortunately, Panerai isn't suitable for everyone. If you like the Submariner and prefer the earlier, smaller versions, you'll undoubtedly be happier wearing it.
The Submariner's glidelock is amazing and I use it all the time as my wrist expands and contracts constantly, especially with hest. Every watch should have a micro adjustment. I own both a YM and Sub, but YM gets more wear as it's just so much more elegant.
It’s a great choice! We just sold one recently, with the drop in Rolex prices it’s a great time to pick one up! Just make sure to follow the tips is our videos on what to look out for. 😀
Thanks for pointing that out. I guess I got confused with which one it was called, another viewer also called out to me to let me know. Thanks again and being cool about it
My YM has the same case size as my Daytona Panda. Both wear marvelously. The sub is just too heavy for my taste…so I wear the Tudor Pelagos 39 instead with its much lighter titanium construction. The YM bezel is identical to the on my Batman GMT2…but the GMT2 sits a bit higher on my wrist. It seems to me is my Datjust and a Sub had a love child…it would be a YM😊
Thanks for the amazing review loved the head to head For the platinum bezel.. did you notice any fading in the space between the raised numbers ? Not sure if it is a fading or a smudging
Yes but I don’t think it’s fading. It’s more likely dirt accumulation which can tarnish the platinum. It’s also cause they can’t polish the space between the raised numbers. It’s normally part of wear and tear
@@twosecondswatch thank you for the reassurance man, I started to notice the same on mine so I got a little worried And thanks again for the amazing video I’m becoming a big fan of yours looking forward for more
I don't have a rolex yet because it's waiting list lol. So I got the green seamaster 300m. Every time I leave the aircon I end up adjusting the quick adjust slider thing. Especially if I get in direct contact with the Malaysian sun.
What do these watches say aboubt you? If you would absolutely rather have a Daytona than a Submariner, then you will definitely prefer the platinum Yacht-Master to any Submariner (even the gold ones) Videos do not do the Yacht-Master justice! If you own a Submariner, you are the type that would never consider buying a real yacht. If you own a Yacht-Master, you might indeed have friends who own a real yacht !!!
Very good and true comparison. I got the 116622 yesterday. Absolutely stunning in person!
Good choice!

16622 without doubt

Great choice! It really is more special!

Rhodium is gorgeous
The YM

I'm with you on the bezel action, I have the 114060 it's bezel is very precise 🔥

That is my target Rolex of all, that Yacht-master.

yachtmaster. the 16622 will be a legendary reference 1 day. very unique and start of a big rolex line
Absolutely agree!
Good vid, the sub has a glidelock not an easylink, and I use my easylink on my explorer twice a day every day and love it.
Thanks for pointing that out. I guess I got confused with which one it was called, another viewer also called out to me to let me know. Thanks again and being cool about it
Both are the best rolex sport watches in my opinion
I just got a 116621 (black dial) YM, i have small wrists so like the YM casing feels bigger and like an like upgrade from my D/D 1803 and DJ 16234/
Yacht master - legendary!!

Thanks for sharing! I do like the Pelagos 39mm a lot as well
I wish somebody made a video of this silver 40mm yachtmaster vs a polar explorer II 40mm
I have both of these watches, I can make a comparison video if you like
Thanks for the amazing review loved the head to head

Easy link extension is for scuba divers , when they have a wetsuit and the watch is on top
Yacht Master all day long !
Yachtmaster is sooooo much better looking
The prices are quite reasonable at this time of writing, you can shop one at our website!
yacht master all day.....
But the yacht master Is Smaller ?
It’s actually the same size.
the polished bracelet and the stamped metal clasp look so cheap. Submariner is definitely better looking. less showy, but more confidence.
Make sure you compare them side by side if you have a chance. You might be surprised on the polished center links like I was! 🤩
YM sure has rounded edges but yours is much more rounded than usual .... likely from over polishing by an unskilled polisher
In person it actually looks pretty good considering it’s age, it’s quite hard to find an unpolished YM in the secondary market today.
