Still getting low fps ? try lowering the resolution ingame i.e Using the Resolution Scale option, Start at 100% then work downwards until viable results are found.

This video really helped me. Before I did these tricks I had like 60fps and every 10 minutes I got kicked because my game froze. But now I that I used these performance improves I can play with barely 100fps and it doesn't kick me anymore. So glad, cheers mate.

This is a pretty good tutorial. I did not use every single tweak, and have yet to see any performance increase in BFV specifically, but this is a damn good tutorial for overall system tweaking! 5/5!!

Didn't rly help me. Got higher FPS at times I had already had okay fps but the problematic stuttering and lags during the gunfights which are the most irritating especially in Firestorm are still there. They really make me wanna quit playing BFV or buy a new computer.

I run a budget PC with a g4560, gtx1060 6gb and 8gb ram. I went from 35fps on low settings to 100fps at spawning and 45fps in full close combat with loads going on. More than happy with the results you've given me! Whole new feel to it.
On my desktop I'm running a gtx970 on an Acer aspire 8th gen i5 8GB ran gets amazing specs and runs bfv beautifully for what it is my laptoo is an rtx 3070 on desktop even though I have a slower GPU card I'm getting a lot higher FPS than you at 1080p but 4K is super choppy

So for the config part g4560, rtx 2060 and 16gb 3200 mhz ram should come under mid end pc or low end pc ( cus of processor)

So fast but outdated. Like it mostly works but not as good as at the very release of the video. They added and removed stuff in the game. Like new sliders and for some unknown reason, after the firestorm update, the game doesn't run that smooth as it used to

thanks this has worked well for FPS I have 2 questions, for some reason although my monitor is set to 72hz, the game is not capping to 72fps? why is this? and also, can I change the game settings to make the graphics look a bit better? will this conflict with the config files? thanks

just wanna say thank you right here, haven't tried to play a game yet cuz its midnight , but I did log in and now my fps is average 120, it used to be 40-60 fps. I dunno if I get into a game and start running around, there will be any heavy frame drops, I'll defo try when I wake up next day. Before that just wanna say thank you !! (NEW MAP AS WELL!)

Hey panjno, I have copied both user.cfg and profsave to the corresponding folders. I've noticed that my FPS went mental (I only had 60-70FPS with GTX1080 - now I have over 100 FPS). Other than in your instruction I have set my graphics back to ultra. What exactely changed with copying the files?

My frames went up from 60 to 150, thank you very much. There I got in settings to improve the quality and fixed at 100fps
after doing this my mouse sensitivity is messed up. When i aim my sensitivity decreases for a little while, even after i stop aiming in. Feels like acceleration is turned on temporarily after aiming?

One question i have i7 2600k oc at 4600ghz and gtx 970 g1 oc how set value in Maximun pre-rendered frames? Use the 3D app setting or 1?? Game now run smooth at 70/80 fps GPU usage 70/80% but CPU usage it's 85/100% any suggest??great guide.

So ever since installing this stuff, it did help btw, but it added a tiny bar across the bottom of the screen that displays stats like latency and packet loss. But i've never been able to get rid of it. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled, not to mention i built a new pc and its still there on a completely different computer. How do I get rid of it???? Please help me

First of all, thank you for the awesome guide. I'm going to do a bit of a long post as this helped me inmensely as a 4-core user as I followed your guide except for a few things (becuse of my CPU).
My PC for reference is an i7 2600k @3.70Ghz (4 cores, 8 threads), 16Gb DDR3 @1600 and a GeForce 780Ti 3gb.
Followed the video step-b step, I used the high-end configs so it doesn't look blurry. I removed all three "Thread.XXXX" lines from the user.cfg because these would kill a 4-core CPU. In-game changed texture quality from Ultra to HIGH (because of the high-end config). Now I'm getting over 70 fps on Narvik where I was getting 38-50 before. On Arras I'm betweem 80-100 when I had 50-60...
All of this with no imput lag and not having a negative impact on my system at all. Thank you!

Welp, I am a believer. I just went thru every single setting and my FPS went from mid 50s on medium to 144FPS on High WTF!!!! Thank you so much for doing this video. My computer is pretty good too and I thought it was just being a POS, nope. It just needed some settings tweaked. Thank you again sir!!

After applying to this configuration i cannot enter Call of duty Modern Warfare. When i click "play" it just stays in the windows/battlenet screen with the message "game is running".

@@marcoscalderon7979 go to user.cfg in bfv folder, open it with notepad or whichever program you want to use and where it says; "perfoverlay.drawfps" change this from 1 to 0 and this will disable fps on your screen.
I was getting 70 - 100 FPS, and now I’m getting 120 - 150 FPS. This is definitely worth it.

This seemed to work, but now I'm noticing I am unable to run two twitch streams like I used to be able to. Any idea which setting might have caused this to happen? Allowed me to at least play BFV on a 1060 and a 3.2ghz i5
please help. i have major issues with the audio drivers, is it safe or recommended to install both realtek and nvidia for the output drivers? i've found out that one interferes with the other sometimes so i just let my generic audio drivers from windows to take charge. sometimes i get major stuttering in game or when watching youtube. i have to disable the output to my monitor and also take the exclusive rights away. what is your oppinion on this? do i just install the realtek and keep nvidia audio hd drivers out, or keep them both? sometimes my pc restarts or freezes because of the audio drivers. and sometimes like in GTA V in the middle of the cutscenes, it gets really bad, freezing, stuttering.

And for the people who chose the Low End or the Ultra-Low End option, your game will appear blurry. Its because the resolution scale is turned down. I turned mine up to 100 and the game still runs beautifully.

LucMum i found out that u have to turn on future frame rendering and then turn it off, do that in the start of your games and you should be good,,, ive been doing it for a while now and its perfect

Yeah except dx12 can cause load times to be insane. It takes me 10 mins to start up with dx12 and dx11 I'm up and in a game within 2 mins easily

Even tho I have i7-8700 and 1060 6gb and everything set to low in video settings, I had fps drops to 55 and its ofc impossible to stream the game. I hope this guide will help me at least to not have that big fps drops in high density areas like E point on Arras.
EDIT : After trying out these settings I must say that they DID NOT increase my fps, maybe for some very small amount which is not even visible. Maybe my fps drops are smaller but considering that my cpu is running at 100% now, its not worth it. (working on 4 cores/threads or 8 doesn't make difference in BFV). I will return my own cfg but thanks anyway for Windows optimizations.
try dx12 on + future frame rendering off, settings in Nvidia Control Panel > 3D Settings > bf5 > "max. prerendered frames = 1" , "prefer maximum performance" and "threaded optim. on". create user.cfg in bf5 directory with settings below.
You will get 120-160 fps average and lowest drops to 90, cpu load 60% because it uses all your threads.
You need to have Windows 1809 installed for this to work and use nvidia driver 417.22. new one causes problems on non rtx cards.

Hi i'm a bit late but in the nvidia profile inspector the the frame rate limiter mode is not available and when i click it there is only the first 2 option : "limiter V2.." .

Panjno, formated my pc recently for bf2042... and reinstaled bf5 as well. For some reason my bf5 is not keeping video, keys and audio changes. Everytime I need to skip the cinematics, reconfig all to play. Do you have ideia what I can do to solve it? thx!

After applying this getting 70/80% cpu usage and 99% of the GPU - all the time , in menus ingame everywhere. (i5 8500,msi 1060 6gb gamingx , 16gb ddr4)..Why is the gpu on 99% all the time on the lowest possible settings (1080p)..
you want your gpu to be at 99-100%, that means you're GPU bottlenecked, which is what you want.
If you have future rendering set to ON in the advanced tab, your GPU will be at 99%.

your GPU should always be at 90%+ if it's working correctly. Why are people thinking this is wrong? do you want your graphics card to be rendering less frames than it's capable of? its supposed to be running at maximum power.

J D I agree tbh, I will only change settings in game that I know will have no effect on anything else, low FPS or not.
It wont damage your PC, just makes it uses a bit more power on idle.

So it got rid of the stuttering but didn't see much of an increase in FPS, I am playing on 1440p. I also notice that now my gpu usage dropped 20 percent. Any suggestions to rasie gpu usage?

this worked, but now every other programm stops working when BF V is opened.. for instance I cannot use Teamspeak anymore parallel with Battlefield.. My voice is just lagging .. i need to reverse some of the stuff I did but I dont know how or what parameter did do this in specific..

I have one problem I hope you can help. Since this, I noticed all vehicle controls seem "locked", for example, driving, the wheels don't turn fully, flying, I can't fly as sharply. All turning controls move the vehicle very slowly and it takes a long round route to turn. Do you know why this is?
