Look on 0 coefficient it's based on you and your sense every 10% u turn is 10% on screen. Let's say to edge of screen is 100% and you have a coefficient of 178 if u divide 178 by 10 to get 10% that's 17.8 so every 10% you turn mouse is 17.8% on screen (they don't match). Now your 100% screen divided by 17.8 is 5.6 so 56% of your mouse turn will put you at edge of screen the other 44% is out of screen. If u want to get use to your mouse and sense then put it at 0 and its all down to you to build that muscle memory. If you put every game on 0 then they should all feel same assuming your sense is same and in theory help you get used to your tools not a sense based on some math. I no its more math but hope it helps just think higher coefficient will make it feel higher sensitivity cos 10% mouse turn is 17.8% on screen.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but you never actually explain why the 0% is better. You explain why 133 isn’t the best, and tell us that some other people on mouse and keyboard are using 0%. But what actually changes when we switch to 0%? That’s not something that I would feel comfortable switching without a clear description of why it’s actually better
@@auspexdk1564 can you tell me what the change is though? Just because it’s better for you doesn’t mean much for others, so I’d still love to actually know what changes
@@LetsCrappieFish not knowing what it does can make it very difficult to notice a difference, even if that change is significant on paper. And at this point, I don’t even play bf5. Bf4 had been my go to
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the co-efficient setting in BFV is monitor distance *vertical* not horizontal. So, on the horizontal axis, 133% is actually 75% of a 16:9 screen but it is 100% of a 4:3 screen, this is the setting both older BF titles (3 and back) and CS (1 zoom sens) use. I think BF1 is the one game where it is monitor distance horizontal so 133% is indeed over the screen edge like this video shows (assuming a 16:9 aspect ratio). It doesn't matter whether it is horizontal or vertical if you will set it to 0% though, obviously.
Hmmm, I have tried both 133% and 0%. I honestly preferred 133%. It felt more consistent to me. With 0%, I noticed that the more zoomed in I was, the slower my ADS was. This kind of annoyed me b/c my general sensitivity is already low. Adding the extra distance I need to move my mouse when zoomed in caused me to run out of mouse pad space constantly. So to compensate, I increased my general sensitivity. This solved my issues regarding running out of space on my mouse pad when zoomed in. However this solution created a new issue. My sens at 1x and low zooms became too high. I was having difficulty aiming. I thought that perhaps I just needed to adapt. So I gave it a week. I would have moments where my aim was spot on, but overall I felt inconsistent. And I think that was my problem with 0%. Sensitivity is inconsistent between zoom levels. When I went back to 133%, my aim became much more consistent almost instantly with my new higher general sensitivity. I was doing just as good/bad with high zoom scopes and low zoom scopes. I then lowered my general sensitivity and boom, my aim became godlike almost. I don't mean toot my own horn or anything but thats honestly how I felt. IMO 133% feels much much better. Of course, I have no scientific reasoning, simply anecdotal reasoning. Purely going off of what I felt.
Yeah so I said in the video that lower sensitivities might not transfer to this setting as well. But honestly if one option feels better than the other, then there's no reason to care about the math or reasoning.
@@SilkOCE I felt much the same as this guy. I also only run 75-90 base sensitivity. I ads a fair bit at close range and this was far to slow. Placebo effect in the works! 😀👍 Silk, your information is misleading. Refer to “Important Guide to Uniform Soldier Aiming” on BF4 forum and “Uniform Soldier Aiming ...on or off?” on BF1 forum. On the second topic go to page 2 and read TheNoobPolice’s comment who “helped test and develop the maths behind this when Dark Etheeral, DICE dev Julian Manolov and a few other contributers developed it during BF4 CTE”. At 1:45 your explanation is wrong. Here are some quotes I’ve saved two years ago about USA: “133% coefficient is the same as 75% monitor distance in 16:9, and means that movement to 75% between the crosshair and the edge of the monitor is matched between scopes and aims. It is coming from 4:3 indeed, where 133% coefficient is the same as 100% monitor distance.” “You may have thought "Hmm, if a coefficient of 1.33 corresponds to the width of a 4:3 screen, shouldn't I change it to match my widescreen's aspect ratio?" (example 178% for 16:9) The answer is no. It will probably feel funny.” “Since you are very rarely snapping to target right at the edge of your monitor, a 178% coefficient will likely make high zoom scopes feel too fast during the majority of your aiming relative to hipfire on a 16:9 screen.” “Having the coefficient setting at 0% matches the velocity of the mouse movement to the speed of images moving that are right underneath your crosshair at any zoom level. This looked fool-proof and simple on paper, but it became apparent as zoom increased with sniper scopes that they felt too slow. This was initially baffling, but we (developers) realised our brains don't give us a sensitivity sensation based on one part of the screen, rather an average across the screen, and this might be different for different people. “Some very smart people have created the USA formula, the default of 4/3 (133%) is there for a reason and we (developers) were all aware that most people are playing on 16:9 screen. What you choose as a coefficient is more a personal preference however, there is no right or wrong.” End of quotes. By the way I call this placebo because on all of your clips you use x1 zoom level where the difference between 0% coefficient and 133% is 0.1cm (if you use for example 30cm/360° hipfire). For 50cm/360° the difference will be 0.2cm. I was fooled by it too. Believe me I’ve used 0% UsA for years and it was a mistake. It slows down high zoom weapons too much. My advice: leave coefficient at 133% and tweak “soldier zoom sensitivity”. Especially for x1 zoom (ADS FoV on). Just experiment, start at 50% and slowly by 5% work your way up to 100%, then from 100% to 50% and you’ll narrow it down to the “best sensitivity”. You will be surprised how much more accurate and consistent you can be with lower values. You don’t really need ninja flicks for BFV. And even if you do just increase your hipfire sens.
I appreciate the criticism and while this may support 133% being better than I gave it credit for, the very post you are referencing shows how arbitrary the value is. "So you must be wondering why the default coefficient is 1.33 First, because 1.33 seemed to work best, second, because that's what CS:GO used and compatability is awesome, and third, because when you times your vertical screen height by 1.33, you would get your horizontal screen width if you were using a 4:3 screen, which is the smallest aspect ration screen people use for games." While the clips I showed were all 1x zoom. I use the G43 often and it feels much better with 0%. And none of this changes that you are calibrating your sensitivity to be accurate at one specific range. It's a shortcut to better aim but all of what I said about the actual focal length scaling process holds true.

I use the G43 often and it feels much better with 0%. I’m sorry if I didn’t hear you mentioning that but then this footage of 1X is confusing. This simply means that you prefer a slower ads sens which can be achieved with soldier zoom sens (by the way it’s 77% for 3X scope and 74% for 6X scope with 133% coefficient to match your 0% coefficient and 100% szs). The difference is - it will not mess up other zoom levels (example below). It’s almost the same as saying “hey folks my secret is a lower ads sens”. >> you are calibrating your sensitivity to be accurate at one specific range. It's a shortcut to better aim but all of what I said about the actual focal length scaling process holds true. It's not more of a shortcut than changing soldier zoom sens to 77% (actually one less tab to navigate 😉). Key aspect of 133% is a “consistency between zoom levels”. With 0% every next zoom level will feel slower and slower (4X is exactly twice slower than 2X and so on) which is not consistent at all as it may seem on paper especially with higher zoom levels. Try BF1 10X or BF4 40X scopes. With 30cm/360° hipfire the difference between 0% coefficient and 133% for even 10X scope will be about 37cm (that’s almost the size of my mousepad) . So if you like slower sens and 0% UsA is exactly what it means because 1X is not even affected unless you turn off ads fov, then just lower soldier zoom sens and it will feel more consistent with every other zoom level. @@TheZodh it's not just the slower sens, you actually described the exact thing I like about 0% USA. "Key aspect of 133% is a “consistency between zoom levels”. With 0% every next zoom level will feel slower and slower (4X is exactly twice slower than 2X and so on) which is not consistent at all as it may seem on paper especially with higher zoom levels." The reason why you can judge distances properly with 0% is because the distance scales with the zoom. If you zoom in 2x, the target will be 2x further away on your screen, and will require 2x more mouse movement to flick to compared to before the zoom. If you make this a fair comparison and scale the distance between you and the target to counteract the zoom, then the mouse distances will be the same. This will also benefit tracking, since the perceived movement speed, size, and distance of the movement will scale with the zoom, and so will the sensitivity. So if the distance between you and the target scales with the zoom also, then a target will move the same speed across your screen, and require the exact same mouse movement. And there is no need for comments like "do your research before posting 🧐 cheers!" We can discuss this but there's no need to be condescending, especially when you're not fully understanding the mechanics that you're talking about.
If using 4:3 display - coef. @ 133, battlefield assumes this by default If using 16:9 display - coef. @ 178 Also given they are assuming you use a 4:3 display if you want 90° FOV it actually needs to be set up at 74° (59 on slider I believe) to actually get 90. Otherwise you'll have 110. Check it with the compass in game, it confirms
I am confused. My hipfire rotations/360 is about 7 inches. With uniform aiming on and coeff set to 0, my ads aiming (with 1.5x ironsights) is about 11 in. I thought the idea was to bring it closer to 1:1? All other settings left default, zoomed sensitivity set to 100%
I just bought Battlefield V through Steam sales and I haven't played since BF3. Holy hell did I suck, I was like what is going on, has it been that long? Do I really suck this much? I went from 5 kills in a game to 20 after changing to this system, I have no idea what you were saying, but it has helped my game play, so thank you!
How come if i use a Sens converter and i convert from Apex legends 2.2 to Battlefield V it says my Sens should be 0.0160 How do i even set this in game?
How do you change your controller settings on pc like all it says is mouse sensitivity no controller sensitivity can someone please help and let me know on how to
Can you explain why this doesnt work on controller? My aim is very acceptable on bf5 console ( you can check this account, i uplaod my highlights (or nooblights as i like to call) and im currently using 125% on zoom soldier, uniform aim is on, but the coeficient is at 140. All my sensitives but the plane is at 100%. Should i try this? I mean, only tunning the coefient to 0 using my current settings?
It might work on controller, but on controller the analog input works differently from mouse I think? Like on controller, you hold an input for a certain amount of time, wheras on PC our aim always corresponds to the same distance. Could still be worth a try though, You never know until you try it. I didn't break out the math in this video but by changing the value to zero, a different equation is used because it would have broken the original one due to division by zero errors.
@@SilkOCE IT FOCKING WORKED, SILK YOU'RE GOD Exagerations aside, it worked beautifully, but i had to change my 3 and 6x from 100% to 125% (as the soldier zoom value) cause i was way more confortable. But it so fucking precise, but you need to turn aim assist off, which for me, is not that big of deal, i play without since mw3, but in this game i was in need for the aim assist cause i couldn' fix my aim. Well, who would know that a simple number could make a big difference. Anyway, thank for the video, it helped a ton
You were right about most players not knowing how it works, I was one of them. At first, after fidgeting with uniform aiming a bit, I disabled it and went with just the 100% soldier zoom aim. After watching your video, I now know 0% finally gives me that visuo-motor alignment with hipfire that I've always wanted. I've noticed that only in BFs, my ADS sensitivity seemed to feel unusually low even with 1x optics and 100% soldier zoom, so I struggled at close range if I wasn't within hipfiring distance. I still don't know what 100% would do. With a bit of practice, I should be able to stop overshooting targets from being used to my old settings and quickly further improve my aim in BF4/BFV.
I thought increasing it would make higher zoomed scoped sensitivity higher. So I changed my coefficient to 150% 😂 now I'm wondering if it actually is a hindrance
Just got Bfv on pc and recoil is ridiculous to control, watching your gameplay make me think how you have 0 recoil on strumgewer? any trick to control recoil? and no FOV dont help controlling recoil i tried 90 and 95
But it doesnt improve my Aim at all, if i Zoom in now with a 4x Scope, then i cant flick nor hit anyone near me in close Combat, cause it is now sooooo slow. Hipfire and Scoped "flicking" also does not feel anything near the same, its just slower then on 133 or 178, i hate it, lol. Its much better on 178 tho, can now Quick Scope People across the Map now easily. Maybe i dont get the Point youre making, maybe thats the reason, idk.
Hang on, what does setting the coefficient to 0 do? I have mine set to 1.6 because my resolution is 1680x1050 and 1050x1.6 is 1680. And a thread I saw somewhere said this was the calculation to make. So what does 0% do different? Does it not just remove the effect?
so let me get this strait am very stupid the usa makes all zooms the same sensitivity but the coefficient is the sensitivity at hight soom range the less % coefficient the less sensitivity it is at zoom lets say 6x scope is that right
I just found ur video, and agree with u. i always used 0 tho (in other games) since i didnt understand after changing and testing what was the difference and a value like 133 was makin no sense for me. but now that u explained, thats clear. thx... One question THO : why do u said that Zoom sens must be on 100%? cuz im used to 70% zoom sens ....... is that bad ? (i mean, is that better usin same sens?)

“Having the coefficient setting at 0% matches the velocity of the mouse movement to the speed of images moving that are right underneath your crosshair at any zoom level. End of quotes. By the way I call this placebo because on all of your clips you use x1 zoom level where the difference between 0% coefficient and 133% is 0.1cm (if you use for example 30cm/360° hipfire). For 50cm/360° the difference will be 0.2cm.

The reason why you can judge distances properly with 0% is because the distance scales with the zoom. Also given they are assuming you use a 4:3 display if you want 90° FOV it actually needs to be set up at 74° (59 on slider I believe) to actually get 90. Otherwise you'll have 110. Check it with the compass in game, it confirms
don t midn me saving the link to this vid, as soon as i m home ima check this out
I am confused. My hipfire rotations/360 is about 7 inches. With uniform aiming on and coeff set to 0, my ads aiming (with 1.5x ironsights) is about 11 in. I thought the idea was to bring it closer to 1:1? All other settings left default, zoomed sensitivity set to 100%
I'm gonna try this for a week, if my aim is better ill come back and give you a kiss, ill keep this comment updated.
Roger that I'll keep an eye out
@@SilkOCE It works really well if ur swapping between different scopes, helps them all feel the same so defs recommend
@@x8reaps appreciate the testing and feedback
did yall kiss?
Hey man how are you?
Just wondering. The first map you were playing was in the dark. What mode or game is thisv
Ive been playing wrong for years.... cheers mate.
How come if i use a Sens converter
and i convert from Apex legends 2.2
to Battlefield V it says my Sens should be 0.0160
How do i even set this in game?
How do you change your controller settings on pc like all it says is mouse sensitivity no controller sensitivity can someone please help and let me know on how to
Beautiful Job mate emphasizing that only one flick distance will be one-to-one, so important that people get that.
doesn't really work for me for snipers as its not 1:1 at all at higher zoom levels
I absolutely destroyed the enemies like that with my mate today, thx for that 👍🏻
Glad I could help
Do you still use 0 coefficient on all games?
Hello bro, How did get that gun. Is that a part of upgrade?
what is your in game FOV?? 105?? And what's your dpi??
@@SilkOCE IT FOCKING WORKED, SILK YOU'RE GOD
Exagerations aside, it worked beautifully, but i had to change my 3 and 6x from 100% to 125% (as the soldier zoom value) cause i was way more confortable. But it so fucking precise, but you need to turn aim assist off, which for me, is not that big of deal, i play without since mw3, but in this game i was in need for the aim assist cause i couldn' fix my aim. Well, who would know that a simple number could make a big difference.
Anyway, thank for the video, it helped a ton
stupid question, the uniform soldier aiming and coefficient settings that you showed here do they also apply in BF1 Too?
whats your DPI ?
thank you for this video
are these settings effective on xbox one?
So i can turn it off on console? I've played with that on since launh
What mapwhat mode was in the begining of the video.
I thought increasing it would make higher zoomed scoped sensitivity higher. So I changed my coefficient to 150% 😂 now I'm wondering if it actually is a hindrance
There is a seperate setting for each magnification in the options menu...
@@lamehick7511 no shit. I'm on about what it says in the description of coefficient
Just got Bfv on pc and recoil is ridiculous to control, watching your gameplay make me think how you have 0 recoil on strumgewer? any trick to control recoil? and no FOV dont help controlling recoil i tried 90 and 95
Hey bro, what DPI setting is your mouse? 800?
But it doesnt improve my Aim at all, if i Zoom in now with a 4x Scope, then i cant flick nor hit anyone near me in close Combat, cause it is now sooooo slow.
Hipfire and Scoped "flicking" also does not feel anything near the same, its just slower then on 133 or 178, i hate it, lol.
Its much better on 178 tho, can now Quick Scope People across the Map now easily.
Maybe i dont get the Point youre making, maybe thats the reason, idk.
How does it work for console???
Is this settings for console or pc? I have console can i juse it?
How did u set 6.3 % in the options in the battlefield :O
left and right arrow keys
@@mickey_jim2770 Oh god, why I didnt know about this earlier
Hang on, what does setting the coefficient to 0 do? I have mine set to 1.6 because my resolution is 1680x1050 and 1050x1.6 is 1680. And a thread I saw somewhere said this was the calculation to make.
So what does 0% do different? Does it not just remove the effect?
Im confusion too
what's your mouse sensitivity dpi?
I don’t even know why am watching these videos my issues with my fucking Wi-Fi
I get 1.4 speed 🤬
Dude, it helped me alot, thank you so much!
Wow this helped tremendously! I am playing on the Series X. Headshots for days.
Really? the same configuration? I have play 4
@@ezblvck Yeah it helps with sniping alot.
So these settings don't work for console?
coefficient doesnt do sht on 1x scopes tho. you can set it to 0 or 300 and it would feel the same.. this is more true for 3x scopes tho
Tbh I tried 0% when I first started, in the end I've set it to 177.8% and it feels much better
Fair enough, it's whatever you feel most comfortable on.
So does this convert to COD as well? no 1.33 or 1.78 but set it to zero?
Yeah same on cod, use 0.
I had a 5 k/d on Warzone and used VLK on the M13 and that sens scaling felt awesome
Sorry if already answered but is this relevant to console?
Thanks this helped a lot so I subbed
Glad it helped
so let me get this strait am very stupid the usa makes all zooms the same sensitivity but the coefficient is the sensitivity at hight soom range the less % coefficient the less sensitivity it is at zoom lets say 6x scope is that right
this setting is only for pc
When is it for xbox one console?
Nice vid Sii!
I will try it out right now on my Ps and give you the result
On playstation it might not be as good it's more of a PC thing
how much dpi u are using?
Thumbs up for no intro! just straight to the point!
So hip and ads is same sens?
They're even killing me in plane now with high damage and killing me but my plane is alive. Next level hacking going on in Asian server... OOO Man.
Hey guys, can anyone tell me how i make this work in CSGO?
I would really appreciate.
Is this useful for consoles?
this greatly improves my recoil control... but its a lot harder to actually hit the enemy because of how inaccurate i am now
Lower your sens if you have trouble tracking
Thanks a lot!
This works for the console?
I just found ur video, and agree with u. i always used 0 tho (in other games) since i didnt understand after changing and testing what was the difference and a value like 133 was makin no sense for me. but now that u explained, thats clear. thx...
One question THO : why do u said that Zoom sens must be on 100%? cuz im used to 70% zoom sens ....... is that bad ? (i mean, is that better usin same sens?)
Hey, does all the zoom levels have to be at 100%
Does this work well for low sens like mine 70cm/360???
And they laughed at me on reddit when I tried to enlighten them...
There are actually far too many guys running around using 360 distance for ads. Actually terrifying
What gamemode is this?
Does this work on ps4 with game pad ?
Does that mean that setting it to 0% is the same as the "Legacy" aiming option in COD MW/Warzone?
I think it's supposed to be but to my understanding, "Legacy" is broken and this 0% is the same as using "Relative" and 0%
@@SilkOCE legacy locks you fov to 65fov 4:3hdeg which will feel weird maot of the time
relative - 0.000coefficient - independent fov
Works best to match other games /battlefield /apex
Is this good on controller
How do you use keyboard and mouse reply my comment pls
I've tested both USA off and other values. Personally I don't see a difference tbh.
Are you mainly testing with 1x scopes. The entire USA formula depends on a change in FOV, and at 1x there is no real change. It's more noticeable with 3x.
A lot of players are using 1.78 in Warzone.... I am having a hard time choosing between 1.78 and 0.... 1.33 is awfull, im so happy Im over that
Great video! I’ll be giving this a go for sure!
It definitely helped me, keen to hear your thoughts
@@SilkOCE I'll try it out for a few weeks and let you know!
Does it work on consoles?
Does this also work for bf4 and 1?
Absolutely.
How can the map has night situation?
I was sceptic but tried this today. I can confirm it works! 😵
Glad you're already seeing results. It's the best mode for developing muscle memory
@@SilkOCE I come from CS so this helps
Is it for PS4 or PC
It’s nice to see you again hope your doing well
Yeah I'm good man!
But what if I want my aim sens to be lower then my normal sens?
Just don't use uniform soldier timing
what about dpi and ingame sens?
I use 800 dpi and 6.3% but that's more of a preference
hey silky, does having different resolution such as 4k or 1440p change the implication of settings?
For 0%, no it doesn't change it at all.
And for non zero percent values, it's the aspect ratio which matters (16:9, 4:3, 21:9) etc, not res.
@@SilkOCE yes because you are setting it off. its literally same as just not enabling USA
@@lee-x5o that is not true you can test it if you want
one click zoom on sniper how?
How did you get you're aim sensitivity to 6.3?
He's on PC on PS4 or Xbox is way different
What fov do you run
i just looked up mpcontrolwards coefficient setting and he uses 1.78 not 0....
Not true he uses 0 on MW and 1.33 on CW
I used to use 1.78 a long time ago, but when I tried 0 it felt a lot better.
@@MPControlWard Thanks for clarifying man
@@MPControlWard On CW you are than on 1.33? what makes the difference that you don't have that set to 0 also/
@@TophatOrange the coefficients in cold war arent the same from mw. I found that 1.33 just felt more natural.
What's your mouse DPI value?
800
What's your dpi?

If coeff just increases zoom sensitivity based 1X then why not just use 100%
I use 100% on bf4, and it feels really good

Cheers for this silk I already use these settings for pc gaming but do you know how well it transfers to ps4?
I couldn't be sure on the console thing but it's easy to try
