Hi Leticia! Its me again and thank you for answering my question. I have an another question is there a competition amongst students to get in some specialties like in USA and does your final point determines which specialty you can get in to? Can you specialize in an another eu country after medical school? Oh by the way could you do a “a day in life of a medical student in Italy” vlog if thats ok with you. Keep up the good work and dont mind the marks too much :))
Asd Asd No, there’s not much competition between students To apply for specialization in Italy you have to do en exam and choose 3 options of courses (specialities and universities). They will count your score on this exam + your grades during med school, make a ranking similar to the IMAT and based on that you can get into a speciality Yes, you can specialize in other eu countries Yes, I can do that :)

Hi, can you please help me? I don’t know how to apply to Italian medical schools, someone said I had to go to the Italian embassy but I’m not sure how this works. Could you please tell us how you applied?
You said that Medicine in `Italy can be harder if you are not Italian. I would say that this is incorrect. There is a Filipino medicine graduate in Pavia, Italy who received a Summa cum laude honors. I think, whether Italian or non-Italian if you don't study smarter in Medicine you will definitely fail. I think also that you need more training in English communication in order to overcome the oral exams. You must know how to speak properly using the English language.
Hi! You misunderstood what I said. Non Italians can definitely do great at uni, get 30s and graduate with honours. What I’m talking about is how having to adapt to a new educational system, a new culture, having to deal with very complicated bureaucracy, all on your own is very challenging and it will affect many aspects of your life, including your studies. But don’t feel discouraged to come, it’s just important to understand that being in a different country will never be as easy as being in your own country

Hi Shiva, I'm a final year med student in Italy. If you want I can give u a brief review of all the exams we have to pass in order to gain our master degree.
@@zaark757 Hi Asim! If you want to enter medical school in Italy, you have different options, depending on what type of experience you wanna have: - public universities - private universities The former are more often chosen, because of the high availability, favourable localisation, much affordable cost but, at the same time, offer good quality education. If you want to apply, you can choose either italian language degree or English degree, which however is not available in every university so it's your choice. Be that you want to take an Italian course (so I highly recommend you to speak at least a level B2-C1 Italian), you have to pass a national test, called "test di ingresso nazionale", taking place once a year in September. This test consist of a 60 multiple choices questions paper that must be completed in 90 minutes and cover different topics: logical reasoning, chemistry, biology, maths, physics and general culture (of you want to have more information about this particular aspect, let me know). After a certain time, usually a month, you will receive your results and your position along the national classification. Depending on what university you have chosen and your position, you will or not be admitted. For example, I had enlisted for 3 universities ("first, second and third choice"): if my first choice would have been unavailable because lots of people asked for and all the applicants would have scored more than me, I would have slided on the second choice and so on. Normally, 60000-70000 students applies, but only 1/10 are able to gain access to med schools. For foreigner students, things are little different because you have a dedicate number of "seats" you can obtain (but the test is identical), so if there are few foreigner people applying, you could easily pass. For other information, just ask. I will be glad to answer 😊
@@zaark757 my bad. For MD, you have to pass a National test called "test nazionale di specializzazione", that have a similar approach but it's far more broad and cover lots of materials (virtually every subjects you have studied in med school) and you have to do a 3 months traineeship before you can apply. Another important requirement is the license, that require to pass another test. So, to apply for MD in a certain speciality you have previously chosen, you need to: - gain a medical degree fully acknowledged by Italian system, which means one obtained in a European university. If you don't fall in that cases, you will need to integrate certain credits (CFU) via supplementary exams or activities - get a valid license - complete traineeship - pass the national test Other information are there www.ordine-medici-firenze.it/tutti-gli-articoli/22-domande-frequenti/166-medici-stranieri-e-o-titoli-stranieri-doctors-from-abroad-and-or-medica-degrees-from-abroad
