At this size and price point, lack of wireless CarPlay is a deal breaker. Wireless hopefully in the next few years will become standard on most high end units so this will be obsolete quickly. The manufacturers should focus on ease of use (wireless, voice control) instead of all the video playback stuff that most people will never use.

I don’t think Alpine was 1st with the floating screen I bought one in like 2012 or ‘13 but was a cheap brand like power acoustic convinced by the audio store it was a better buy than a pioneer. Yeah they should have put the better software in this radio.... I agree. They should have put the same software as the iLX-W309 with the 9 band parametric eq. But it retails for the same price... and the iLX-W309 is not discontinued yet so Alpine had to make it make a small difference to justify the same price.

Great headunit. The main sale argument is the major downside of this product. 11" screen with the same resolution of 9" or even 7" units. Too low resolution for the size, wash out colors. A pity. Thanks for the comment. The a alpine you mentioned is a very old unit so I can see why you would want to replace it. The pioneer is probably the best fold out monitor on the market right now because all other major manufacturers discontinued those style radios but to answer your question no we haven’t installed one of these in a Vanagon yet.. what did you not like about the pioneer?
I want this for 2012 Ford Fiesta do you think fit in my car let me know please
yes this fits, its universal you will have to have a local audio shop install it
Is the face detachable?
does it swivel?
Would it fit in my 2015 chevy silverado 1500
I'm having a hard time deciding what I should go with .I was looking at kenwood dmx1057xr.whats one of your favorites
Is it possible to update the android version?
No link on the bottom & I can't find in your store.. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Ok it's there now. Thanks
Only 5-band EQ?
will u bring the jvc 10inch ? thanks. :)
We’re gonna get Review that radio soon
Is this available for the 09 Dodge Ram 1500 ?
It will work with the correct adapters.
Do you ship to Ghana?
They cheaped out only a 5 band eq??
Yeah they should have put the better software in this radio.... I agree. They should have put the same software as the iLX-W309 with the 9 band parametric eq. But it retails for the same price... and the iLX-W309 is not discontinued yet so Alpine had to make it make a small difference to justify the same price.
there is still no device which can turn towards drivers face, hopeless!
Downside you can't remove the screen. Glad I got limo tint on my car
And still no wireless CarPlay/AA or Highres screen
I just want an Alpine double din. With reverse camera... Don't plan on living in my truck. Plus a tablet is more susceptible to get stolen.
Gotta sale my Halo 9 now 🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha I thought the same thing man.
is CarPlay working wirelessly?
No wireless.
Can I hook up an Xbox One in to the HDMI input and play video games on the road? ...not while driving obviously 😂
Yes you can !!! My gf does that all the time we travel .
Are they gonna come out with a complete Bolt on kit for a 4runner like they do to Halo 9
I would image they would but Alpine hasn't mentioned anything yet.
Hi is it plays video mp4 from usb?
I believe so
Does this one have wireless CarPlay?
No wireless carplay or android auto
@@BreakersStereo that stinks. I’d really like to incorporate one of these ILX units into my system, but I’m not going to give up my Wireless CarPlay that I have now...
Great headunit. The main sale argument is the major downside of this product. 11" screen with the same resolution of 9" or even 7" units. Too low resolution for the size, wash out colors. A pity. Not to mention the huge bezel. very outdated look, as well. Old technology for XXI century. C'mon Alpine you can do more!
Alpine is going to be releasing some new radios here shortly. I thought that they could’ve done better with this radio as well but we’ll see how the new ones are. Hoping for something great out of Alpine
F309 has been out a while now and Alpine still has refuse to release new updates for it. This is the trouble with the radio world, instead of updating firmware on the devices they just drop a different radio. Annoying as fuck. F309 has a car play bug with audio.
