🎧👍👍 Sheer happiness by a wonderful, lovely woman. She was so cute in The Huggetts. Some similarities between some words here and The Monkees' I'm A Believer. My sister got this 45 for Christmas the year it came out.
The GREAT STUDIO DRUMMER from the WRECKING CREW--------HAL BLAINE----------ON THE DRUMS ON THIS ONE,TOO!!! He played on HUNDREDS of HITS, REGARDLESS IF A GROUP ALREADY HAD A DRUMMER!!!!! HE WAS THAT GOOD!!!!!!!
Love this song. Thanks for all your work on these during the year Pat. Tony Hatch kindly did a radio promo for me some years ago. So nice of him to take the time to do that.
Whoa! This is good! Petula must be unique amongst artists of that era to have two different No1 hits in the US and UK. The US picked up on this little gem plus the wonderful 'Downtown' whereas the UK went for 'Sailor' and the Charlie Chaplin penned 'This is my Song'. My favourite of all Petula's hits remains 'I couldn't live without your love'.
‘My Love’ - we love Petula Clark, a lovely lady who has always been one of my favourite female singers. Did not know this was recorded by Tony Hatch in the US. Great single and now enhanced stereo backing vocals. Interesting to know her record label was Warner in the US. Muscle Shoals musicians, Petula Clark singing and Tony Hatch arranging - pretty good combination for a great single. Many thanks Pat!
Thanks Henry. I like to use the UK labels in my artwork, but I couldn't find a decent quality Pye label image for this one. And I didn't realise Tony Hatch had used American musicians on this recording.
Even better than Kenn's version! The backing vocals in stereo make the difference. Backing track by the famous Wrecking Crew, just perfect. Thanks Pat.

I’ve always been a big fan of Petula Clark and most of her music. This is a lovely version of another great 66 tune, thanks Pat!
Thanks Marty 👍
The best version of this beautiful tune of Petula Clark, perfect as usual, Sir Pat. Also by Petula, the french version "Mon Amour" 😊👍👌
I've just had a listen to Mon Amour. It works well in French !

Thanks Dean. Tony Hatch recordings are really good quality. They don't need a lot of enhancing !

That is a good one, I might have a go at remixing it sometime.
My favourite as well!
Awesome! I’d love to hear “Don’t Sleep In The Subway” and “I Couldn’t Live Without Your Love” in stereo, too!
